-When we started the show, I think we saw a formatting quirk that I don’t remember ever seeing before. Anytime they have an episode with two 1-on-1’s and a group date, usually the first date card will have the first 1-on-1 on there, then sometime while that date is happening we see footage back at the mansion/hotel of the second date card arriving for the group date, and by process of elimination of whose name isn’t on it, we then know who got the second 1-on-1. I can’t ever remember them doing it how they did it last night where they announced the whole group date first, so right away the women (and us) knew who got the other two 1-on-1’s. It’s not a major deal in the grand scheme of things. Hell, it’s actually really not a whole lot of anything. I just like pointing things out that rarely, if ever, have happened on this show, and I don’t remember that happening before. Carry on with your day.
-Group date was some sill date about finance hosted by Daniel Lubetsky, founder of KIND snacks, and comedian Hannah Berner. We all know comedy is subjective. Someone you find funny, someone else might not find the least bit funny. I’ve seen Hannah’s latest stand up. Her podcast clips with Paige are all over by TikTok and IG search pages. This is no shot at her, but…I just don’t get it. Sorry. I just don’t find her funny. And before you come with your “Oh, you just don’t find female comics funny” takes – that’s not it. There are plenty of female comics I think are hilarious. Nikki Glaser, Ali Wong, Rachel Feinstein, Iliza Schlesinger, Whitney Cummings, Taylor Tomlinson, Kelsey Cook, Anna Akana, Jenn Sterger, Jessica Kirson, Chelsea Peretti, and Katherine Branford to name a few. Hell, I’ve seen Nikki, Whitney, Anna, Jenn, and Iliza live before. So it has nothing to do with that. There are quite a few male comedians I don’t “get” either that I know people like. Guys like Dane Cook, Theo Von, Gabriel Iglesias, etc. I know they’re liked by a majority of the public but their comedy does nothing for me. Doesn’t mean Hannah Berner is a bad person, doesn’t mean I hate her, doesn’t mean I don’t think she’s ever said a funny thing in her life. Just means I’m just not a fan of her comedy. I also don’t know why she was chosen for this date. Is there some tie in I’m missing? Daniel makes sense. He’s a guest shark on Shark Tank for a few seasons now. What’s Hannah’s tie in here that I’m missing? Then again, Lisa Vanderpump was also on this episode and I don’t know her tie in either so I guess some questions might just be left unanswered.
-A few women we got to see their alone time with Grant – Parisa, Bailey, Zoe, and Juliana. Zoe was the one having a rough day because she felt uncomfortable and out of her element on the group date. I don’t think Zoe did anything wrong this date per se, but I can see why she’s kinda getting under the womens skin again. I’m guessing not all of them enjoyed the date, but Zoe had to vocalize it to everyone and start crying, which just seemed a bit dramatic to me considering it’s not like the date put them in humiliating costumes, or made them do something totally awkward, or anything like that. So I was confused by that part. However, then some of the other women started attacking her for her dress, which was completely called for. Sarafiena called it “the shortest dress I’ve ever seen in my life.” Uhhhhh, now THAT was a bit dramatic. Really? Of ALL the dresses you’ve seen in your life, hers was the shortest? I’m guessing not. Just seemed like an unnecessary pile on for no reason at all.
-Look, early on in a season, ANY time there’s a group date after there will ALWAYS be drama. Either it’s someone interrupting someone else’s time (like last week with Zoe and Alli Jo), or someone trash talking someone else, or someone being upset the lead is dating other people and can’t handle it, go back to every season known to mankind and just know at some point during an after party of a group date early in the season, there will always be some narrative that’s negative that the show will focus on. Not so much later in the season when the women are dwindling down. But when you have these 8, 10, 12 person group dates, inevitably there will be drama they’ll spend more time focused on than actually seeing these women develop something for Grant. I mean, last night with 12 women on the group date, we literally got to see only 4 of them interact with him in the after party: Parisa, Zoe, Bailey, and Juliana. And Bailey actually WON the group date earlier in the day, yet, became an afterthought after she spent $8k of fake money to buy one of Grant’s t-shirts – only to not receive a rose at the end of the episode. Hope that money was well spent.
-Parisa ended up getting the group date rose because she made Grant laugh with her Chubby Bunny routine. Can someone please explain to me when all the sudden Chubby Bunny is now played with rice Krispie treats and not Peeps or marshmallows? When did this happen and why wasn’t I informed of this? Was there a meeting held? Or did Parisa change the game and just decide THIS is now how we play Chubby Bunny? Because I’ve never heard of that ever. I think Parisa might be taking some liberties with that games rules and someone needs to investigate this. I need answers and I need them now.
