-Anytime there’s a Vegas date, you know my ears perk up. Comparing it to last weeks 1-on-1 with Alexe getting a mall date riding around on oversized stuffed animals, again, how ripped off does Alexe feel? And Carolina gets a private jet to Vegas to boot. Here’s the problem I had: they went to the Strat. Of all the times I’ve been to Vegas, which is well over 50 times I’m sure, I’ve never step foot in the Strat. Nor do I have any intention to. So they got to do some death drop. I don’t think it’s considered bungee jumping (that’s next week with Sarafiena), but regardless, they jumped off the Strat feet first with a giant harness on their back. I have no interest in doing it, but that seems a little more tame than actually doing a head first dive off something and being held up by only your feet. Can’t wait til next week with his bungee jump with Sarafiena where we will inevitably get the whole “bungee jumping is a lot like relationships” talk before they practically plunge to their death. It’s coming. Oh you KNOW it’s coming.
-We find out during dinner that Carolina suffers from epilepsy and she’s had guys ditch her in the past or say it’s too much for them to handle, so our first trauma dump of the season for a 1-on-1 date. It’s inevitable this show has turned into people who get 1-on-1’s more than likely have some tragic backstory and that’s why they’re getting the date. The show wants everyone to know, and/or that contestant is relevant to the season. Carolina already won the R&B group date last week, and now she’s getting a private jet 1-on-1. You’d think she would’ve gone farther, but we also see in the previews, she seems to rub some of the others the wrong way with how she carries herself. So we have our answer now as to why she never made hometowns.
-So with Beverly being removed from the show due to a medical emergency (we found out on the Almost Famous podcast this morning that Beverly had appendicitis and I guess her appendix burst so that’s why she had to leave) there was a makeshift group date with 3 people: Sarafiena, Juliana, and Dina. They went to Lisa Vanderpumps dog adoption center and played with dogs. Grant spent 1-on-1 time with each and then chose Litia to have a late night 1-on-1 with where, cue up the trauma story, Litia lost her dad when she was 3 months old. So with Grant’s father having addiction issues, and Litia losing her father so young, these two bonded and you can see why she gets as far as she did. Litia will be a VERY popular woman down in Paradise this summer I’m guessing. I think the guys will be lining up for her, and rightfully so. Seems so put together, she smart, well spoken, and just the way she carries herself stood out to me.
-The night of the rose ceremony, it was Prom Night. Something we saw on Joan’s season of the Golden Bachelorette, so they brought 4 of her guys in. One problem: the women had to pretend they actually knew who these guys were:
Just remember, these women have no idea who Joan’s men are. Golden Bachelorette started airing on Sept 18th. These women were already in LA for filming at that point since Grants season began filming on the same date.

Soooooo, yeah. These women had no idea who these men were, had never seen them on TV before and had no idea how long they lasted or what their stories were when they showed up. Unless, of course, they read spoilers for Golden Bachelorette before leaving for filming.
-The story of Prom Night was the Carolina/Rose feud. Carolina tells us that she had a conversation off camera with Rose and Rose told her that on the R&B group date, when Grant was dancing with Carolina after she “won,” he said he was thinking about Rose the whole time. I brought this up last week so lets bring it up again. We saw Grant and Rose’s conversation last week. He said “You’re somebody that I do think about. I was thinking about you…during the whole dancing thing, I was thinking about you.” So, I can see where maybe Rose took that out of context, but what she relayed to Carolina just didn’t seem accurate. It’s like she jumped to conclusions to kind of one-up Carolina. At no point did Grant say, “When I was on stage dancing WITH CAROLINA, I was thinking about you.” But Rose thought he did. And lets say for arguments sake that’s what she thought he said. Why would you then go tell Carolina that? How do you THINK she’ll react to that? Rose getting mad at Carolina and saying she sold her out, ummmm, I’m sorry, I’m siding with Carolina here. Carolina did nothing wrong. Because if she’s told that, of course you’re gonna ask Grant, “Hey, did you tell someone when you were literally dancing 1-on-1 with me that you were thinking of someone else?” Rose not only heard wrong, she misinterpreted it, and then committed the triple whammy by even telling Carolina what she thought she heard. What good was that going to accomplish?
Anyway, Chloie, Bailey, and Alli Jo eliminated, there are 10 women left, and we are 2 episodes away from hometowns ha ha. Next week in Madrid we get Dina and Sarafiena’s 1-on-1 date and then we also get the mechanical bull riding date with the others. And Rose self-eliminates because she can’t get past the whole blow up with Carolina and thinks her relationship with Grant can’t recover from it.
