Talk a little bit about yesterday’s podcasts. We’re also going to discuss The traitors from last night. I got a couple thoughts on that More on the Blake Lively Justin Baldoni suit that we did not get to because it came out.
I guess today or yesterday in The Hollywood Reporter, I believe we’ll just talk just talk about that a little bit. I’m going to discuss also The two couples, I found out who the second couple was that did get engaged on love is blind before we watch episodes seven, eight, nine today. And then guess what?
Jury duty has been renewed for season two. They’ve already filmed it. It’s in the can and it’s coming out on Amazon. Got questions about that. We will get to all that momentarily. So first wanted to start out talking about yesterday’s podcast. I don’t know. It was over two hours worth of podcasts between Rachel Juarez on the daily roundup and Darva Conger on podcast number four 31.
What’s interesting to me is, you know, anything regarding the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni. Suit, if you heard me talking about it yesterday, you just know that I’m just not going to go hard on either of them. Do I think Blake is not doing a good job in this case? Yes, I do. I’ve made that perfectly clear.
But I also am not 100 percent convinced that Justin Baldoni didn’t say or do things that were a little bit creepy on set. But that’s not what the lawsuit is. The lawsuit says he sexually harassed us. To me, I just haven’t seen that proof yet. Maybe it’s coming. Maybe it is coming in later depositions. I just find it, I mean, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because this is the society we live in now.
You have to take a side on things right when something breaks. And yes, we’ve had numerous complaints that we were able to view, but I’ve looked at Blake’s original complaint. Justin’s complaints, Blake’s amended complaints, and I just can’t get to this, Oh my gosh, I want to burn this person at the stake, whether it’s Blake or Justin.
I’m not burning either of them at the stake, but I see the vitriol and the hatred online of Blake. Mostly of Blake. There are some people that are defending Blake that are going after Justin. Let’s be honest, it’s way more against Blake. And the thing is, I don’t know, before September of 2024, did people have this much hatred towards Blake Lively?
If we’re being honest, the answer is really no. People didn’t have, people weren’t online flaming Blake Lively for what a horrible human being she is. It just wasn’t happening. But now it is, and it just seems a bit, it seems a bit too much. Not to mention, my whole issue with this whole lawsuit, either hers or his, it’s still all just accusations.
It’s not fact. Nothing in Blake’s complaint is fact. Nothing in Blake’s complaint is evidence. Nothing in Justin’s complaint is fact. Nothing in Justin’s complaint. Complaints are just accusations. They’re just allegations that each side is presenting. Then when the case moves on, you need to back up what you’re saying.
If they can’t back it up, then none of those allegations in either of their complaints means anything. That’s why I’m so surprised, even though I’m not, just because people have to take a side on everything right away, but It’s so strong. People have such a strong sense of, I know I’m right. And Blake is a giant bitch and she did all of this.
And she tried to take over the movie when her complaint clearly shows, at least in just allegations that she didn’t take over the movie she had a chance to. And all she tried to do was put protections in place. Now I know if you’re against Blake, you’re going to find a way to shit on that. I’m just saying everyone claims to have all this evidence.
Well, if your evidence is like, but this complaint only had this complaints or just allegations, they’re not even supposed to have evidence in them. So I think we just need to, I just, I would rather just calm down about the case. I have no problem talking about it. I can talk about that thing every day.
The problem is I feel like I’m almost repeating myself over and over again. When I say, look, this is great that Blake has all these allegations. This is great that Blake says he made other women on set uncomfortable or he harassed them. However she wants to put it. But until those women come forward and actually give first hand example and put their name to it, What am I supposed to say?
I can’t just take Blake at her word for it. Blake was informed that Justin told the actress who played young Lily and the actor who played young Atlas after their sex scene, that was hot. Have you guys been practicing? Until the people involved in that scene come forward, put their name to it, and say, Yes.
He said this to us on set and I was really creeped out by it. I can’t sit here and say that that’s true. It certainly looks bad. If it is looks terrible for Justin, if it is, but I, you know. I’m not sitting here saying it is true. And so many people who would defend Blake are saying, see, he was a creep.
This is what he did. I’m just saying, we don’t know if he said it, that’s her accusation. Just like he’s got a ton of accusations in his complaint that we don’t know 100 percent for sure. But this comes down to, like I said, people’s own self truths. And if what they’re seeing goes against their belief, people just have a hard time admitting, Oh wait, maybe I didn’t.
Look at everything from a broader perspective. Maybe I should be a little more open minded. Everybody’s just got to have a black and white. This is this person’s narrative, and this is this person’s narrative. And I believe this person. So anything else that comes out from the other side, I don’t believe.
And we’re definitely getting a lot of that with Blake. And I feel like that’s a little bit extreme. It’s my personal opinion. As for Darva Conger yesterday. I said top five interview, top five guests I’ve ever had on this podcast. I really hope you took the time to listen to that. I thought she was great.
Someone actually sent me the YouTube clip of the whole show. It’s very poor quality cause this was 2000. So it looks like somebody like recorded their television or had it on VHS and uploaded it to YouTube, but it’s out there and I didn’t watch it. I fast forwarded to the last 15 minutes cause I wanted to see.
The last five women and how he picked them. So apparently, and I didn’t even realize this. That’s why I didn’t bring it up to Darva. When I was talking to her, I didn’t realize that us as the viewers, when the show was airing, we didn’t see Rick Rockwell and what he looked like. Until the last 15 minutes of the show.
I think we knew his name was Rick, but every time he would narrate some stuff, we would hear his voice. They would show him in video footage, but they would never show his face. So we as an audience didn’t know what he looked like until they brought him out on stage, which wasn’t until the last 15 minutes of a two hour show.
And then he chose Darva in a lineup of five women who were dressed in wedding gowns. And what’s funny is I messaged Darva yesterday and I said, Oh shit, someone sent me a YouTube video of the show, the whole two hour show. She’s like, really? Wow, I’m still not gonna watch it. And I guess I can’t blame her.
Even, even though she probably looks on it back right now and just like utterly ridiculous, I can see where it even 25 years later can be a little PTSD for her. And I can understand her not wanting to watch it. I didn’t even want to watch it for two hours. I’ll probably skim through it. Like I said, I watched like the last.
10 minutes, but even 10 to 15 minutes, but it was even like kind of 10 seconds skipping through that. So I was just watching it on my phone. I just wanted to see how the actual proposal was done and it’s just, it was hokey, it was really hokey. Jay Thomas was the host who at the time was, I believe he was the morning DJ on power one Oh six in Southern California.
And he also played somebody’s boyfriend on cheers, right? Whose boyfriend did he play on cheers? I know he was on cheers. I just forget who’s boyfriend. And then they be, and then they got married, I think, whatever the case. It’s out there on YouTube. If you’ve never saw who wants to marry a multi millionaire.
It is out there on YouTube and Darva Still is the winner, you know 25 years later, but yeah, I hope you really enjoyed those podcasts yesterday.
