All right. Let’s talk about the traders last night.
Great episode, a showdown between Danielle and Carolyn at the banishment ceremony, Carolyn ends up going home by a vote of four, two to two, the last two votes, Dolores and Tom voted for. Each other and someone else voted for Tom too, but Carolyn ends up going home because her argument wasn’t great at the banishment ceremony.
And it’s a lot of sentiment online all season long about how Danielle is just so messy. Well, this is nine episodes. And, maybe she’s overdramatic, maybe she breaks out the crocodile tears, but the bottom line is, she’s doing exactly what you need to do as a traitor. She’s convincing other people that she’s a faithful.
And, I think, if I read this correctly, she has now tied Cere for the longest amount of episodes as a traitor. If she gets through next episode, she’ll set the record. 10 episodes as a traitor. She hasn’t been voted out. The whole point of this game is, don’t get voted out. Don’t let people think that you’re a traitor.
And Danielle, as messy as she has been, is quote unquote winning. Now, here is something that came up, I believe it was yesterday or this week on Caitlin Bristow’s Off The Vine podcast. Chris Schell went on Caitlin’s podcast and said, people are very upset at Danielle and they are going to address this. At the reunion show that she was swearing on her grandkids, that she was a faithful.
So here’s my thing with Hall, this whole thing, whether it’s this game or any aspect of life where somebody says, Oh, I swear on my mother’s grave. I swear on my kids. Maybe it’s just me. I just don’t think anything of that. I don’t think that means anything unless you literally say, and this is getting really dark here, but I’m just trying to make a point.
Unless you literally say, if I’m lying, I will murder one of my own children saying, I swear on them. What does it really mean in the grand scheme of things? Clearly when Danielle said she’s swearing on her grandkids, that she’s a faithful. Clearly she’s playing a game and she’s lying and she’s doing whatever she can to say that.
She’s one of them. She is a faithful because she swears on her grandkids. You don’t think that could mean that she’s lying? You might say, Steve, some people would never do that. Some people have morals. I just don’t think that’s a moral thing because what does it really mean in the end? Because we know when she said and she squares on her grandkids that she’s a faithful.
We know that she’s lying. Did anything happen to her grandkids? No. So I just, I’m one of these people that doesn’t care what you swear on. Honestly, maybe other people do care. I’d be curious to know if somebody told you, I swear on this, or I swear on that. I swear on my mother’s grave. I don’t even know what that means.
You swear that you’re telling the truth on your mother’s grave. Well, if you’re not telling the truth, what is your consequence by swearing on a child or your mother’s grave? Nothing. Like I said, unless you litter, unless you literally say, I swear to you, if I am lying, I will hurt physically one of my own children.
And then you ha and then you actually had to go do that. That would hold a hell of a lot more weight than someone just saying, Yeah, I swear on my kids. Swear what? So, I know people are going to call Danielle out for it, but clearly Danielle is winning. She’s playing the game and she’s gotten people to believe that she’s a faithful.
Now some people might think she’s a traitor, but they haven’t voted her out. So, whatever she said is working. And to me, that’s a weak argument from the people that I guess are mad at her for swearing on her kids and crying. She’s playing a game. When you play in a game like this, I’m sorry. I just wouldn’t believe somebody 100 percent because they said they swore on their grandkids.
Who cares? Because nothing’s going to happen to them. If they’re lying, there’s zero consequences. I thought in the debate between Danielle and Carolyn, it was funny because Carolyn, when Danielle was talking, Carolyn literally interrupted her and said, please let me finish. It brought me back to the Jake Pavelka, Vienna Girardi argument in the backyard that Chris Harrison was the.
Moderator for the infamous. Please stop interrupting me as he raises his arm at her. That’s what it reminded me of. Obviously they weren’t close and sitting next to each other on a couch and he didn’t, Carolyn didn’t raise her arm at her where she could have hit her, but that’s what it reminded me of.
And if you look at that argument last night, I agree. You can’t tell me Danielle isn’t playing a great game. When Dylan literally said afterwards, I had zero intention of voting for Carolyn until tonight. So clearly Danielle has done a great job of persuasion. Now, the cliffhanger at the end of the episode is Danielle now has to recruit somebody to be a traitor with her or they have to be dead.
They will be eliminated. Is there really a choice here? Obviously she was going to go after Brittany. Because Brittany’s her friend. And she wants to go to the end with her. Obviously she’s going to go after her. I don’t understand why this is even a choice. Why would Brittany be like, Yeah, I’d rather leave the game than be a traitor.
Huh? Because, isn’t that The option here, she either has to accept being a traitor, or she’s eliminated, she’s murdered. It’s so, doesn’t seem like there’s much of a choice for her. Why would she want to bow out of the game with seven people left? Of course she’s gonna take it. Again, unless I’m missing something, which is very, very, very possible.
You know me with sometimes of these games, I just forget things that happened in past seasons. Moving on. One other thing I wanted to bring up about the Blake Lively Justin Baldoni case, probably should have brought this up in the first 10 minutes when I was talking about it, but I guess it was released yesterday through Hollywood Reporter or Deadline, one of those articles that was covering the case and the amended complaint by Blake Lively.
Jenny Slate and the woman who played, her name’s Isabella, who played the young Lily in the movie. Apparently they are the other two women. They haven’t said anything publicly, but I guess it’s been quote unquote leaked. Sources tell Hollywood Reporter it might be Blake Side telling them. It’s Jenny, but when you think about it, if we’re talking about people on set that Blake claims, Hey, other women have come to me, she said it in her amended, her amended complaint, they don’t want their name out there, but they’d be willing to testify in a deposition.
We talked about this yesterday with Rachel Juarez, and I think we all thought it was one or both of them, because if any of you have seen the movie, who are the three most prominent women characters in this movie? It’s Lily Bloom. It’s her friend. Played by Jenny Slate, and it’s Young Lily, played by Isabella.
I mean, if someone’s gonna come forward, I mean, yeah, I guess Justin and that Heath guy, I guess they technically could have harassed or made, you know, a hairdresser feel uncomfortable, maybe an extra on set. I just, look, even though we don’t know for sure, and Jenny Slate and Isabella have not come forward publicly, It’s really not far fetched to think that these were the other two women who had quote unquote complaints now As I said in the first ten minutes of this podcast if they don’t say they were harassed Or say I don’t remember in their depositions or at trial then it’s all for naught.
I’m just saying Even though we don’t know for sure It’s not far fetched in the least bit to think that these are the other women that had complaints They were the only other two prominent women in the movie Right? Like, I saw the movie, obviously in August of last year. It’s been seven months. Lily, Jenny Slate, and young Lily were like the three, only three main women in the show.
There weren’t really any other women, right? Outside of people in scenes and, you know, there were obviously women in the movie. I’m talking prominent women in the movie. It was those three. So when you hear this complaint Hey, other women on set complain to, yeah, unless we’re talking about executive producers or makeup or hair women on the set, it had to be those two, especially that part of the complaint on page, I think it was page 31 or maybe it was page 27.
It was 0. 91. We talked about it in the podcast where Blake was informed that in Justin’s version of the film. He filmed an extra sex scene and he got a shot of young Lily’s face at the point of penetration and then he allegedly Told the two actors young Lily and young Atlas at the time I’m not supposed to say this but that was hot Have you guys been practicing totally uncalled for if it happened?
We have no idea, but you know who would have an idea if he said that young Lily Isabella. So again Just gotta wait. I Know people don’t want to wait But you’re going to have to wait, she’s going to have to corroborate that story. I wanted to say a couple things here as we wrap this up. Love is blind. I told you about the couple that did get engaged that it wasn’t shown.
Was it Kylie and Brian? And I said, I didn’t know who the other couple was. I said about, I thought it was Brittany. It has been confirmed by receipts, the reality receipts podcast with Ricky wise and reality Ashley. Brittany was the other person in the couple, and the guy was Moe. Again, Moe, Kylie, and Brian are three people that we never saw 10 seconds of in the pods.
The show just chose not to focus on them. Now, according to the Reality Receipts podcast, Brittany, after the engagement, I guess wasn’t feeling a hundred percent and I guess allegedly gave up her spot and she told the show, I would rather not go down to Mexico. I would rather give up my spot to someone else to go down to Mexico.
I want to work on my relationship with Mo and then they broke up shortly thereafter because I guess there is some problematic things surrounding him. So Mo and Brittany are no longer together. Kylie and Brian, I might be, I might be screwing up one of their names, but they’re still together. But Mo and Brittany were the other couple that did get engaged.
So seven couples did end up getting engaged. The five we’re going to see in today’s episodes and then Kylie and Brian and Mo and Brittany, Kylie and Brian, Mo and Brittany are the two that aren’t going to be followed. And Mo and Brittany have already broken up. I guess it was shortly thereafter because I guess Mo didn’t have the greatest, said some things apparently that turned Brittany off and they’re done.
We’ll maybe hear more about that at the reunion show. And then finally want to end with this, you know, I’m talking about Joe Schmoe show, which came, you know, it’s been quite a few years since they had a season of the Joe Schmoe show. And then what else brought this? Prank show era back was jury duty on Amazon freebie, which came out, I believe last year.
Yeah, no, 2023 and it was about a fake case. Everybody on the case, every lawyer involved, the prosecution, the defense, everybody in the jury pool, except for one person was an actor. And they convinced the guy Ronald Gladden that he thought he was on a real case. Anyway, we find out yesterday from Variety that Season 2 of Jury Duty has been picked up by Amazon, and it’s already been shot.
It’s in the can, we just don’t have a start date of when it’s going to start airing. What’s interesting to me though, is they said, look, we couldn’t do another jury one, because that would have been too obvious. So, the reports are, that Season 2 will be set at a corporate retreat, rather than a courtroom, and that it was shot in Agora Hills, kind of basically where the Bachelor Mansion is.
And, they said, It’s going to be kind of along the lines of a David and Goliath thing, which is kind of a weird way to describe it, but they said, if it’s going to be, if it’s going to be done in a corporate retreat, obviously we’re going to get the answers when this airs or when we start seeing previews of it.
But what I guess I don’t understand is the concept is the same one person. Is going to think they’re in a real situation and everyone around them is an actor, but if this is a corporate retreat, I don’t understand how that works because then you would assume this is like a corporation that goes on a corporate retreat, but if they took an actual real corporation, then everybody that works there would have to be told to hate, be like, Hey, we’re doing a prank on Joe in accounting, you all have to have become actors now.
Well, they’re not actors. So how, I don’t know. I’m just thinking out loud here. I’m just, obviously they did a show and it’s going to be successful. I’m just, I’m not understanding this premise of it’s going to be a corporate retreat because if it’s a real company, nobody in that company would be an actor.
And if it’s a company. That was created for this show, then they would all be active. I don’t know. I don’t get it, but we are getting a season two of jury duty, which got rave reviews. I thought it was really good the way it was done. James Marsden was in it. Who’s now obviously in paradise on Hulu, but.
Yeah. That’s what’s coming. We just don’t have a start date for it, but it has been filmed already and has been greenlit for Amazon prime. Anyway. Thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple podcasts. Also rate and review, but you got to hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download sports daily coming up in an hour from now.
Check that out as well. Have a great weekend, everybody. And I’ll talk to you on Monday.
