I’m a little behind on a couple of the shows that a lot of you are asking me about.
And I know they’ve become popular, and I know they already have released all their episodes. I’ve managed to stay away from spoilers, although I do think I came across the spoilers of who won one of ’em, but I couldn’t tell you the name because I don’t remember. I just remember reading it because they’re already doing interviews and it’s like, that’s the problem with streaming shows, releasing their whole season right away in one drop so you can binge.
’cause if you don’t binge. You’re behind and you’re inevitably one gonna come off, come across a spoiler or two. If you don’t watch it right away, it’s just gonna be outdated by the time you start talking about it, but. F to those who are asking, which I did get emails on this weekend. No, I have not seen Million Dollar Secret and no, I have not seen Got to Get Out, which is on Hulu.
It’s got former Bachelor people, Claire and Demi on it. It’s also got Spencer Pratt o Omarosa. I’ve seen the previews. I started watching the clips and I’m very confused on the how the hell this game works. I guess they’re all in a house. The prize is a million dollars and you just have to run outta the house at some point and nobody catch you.
And that’s what the prize is. You get, I don’t understand it. Obviously I don’t understand it ’cause I haven’t watched it. I’m sure if you’ve watched it, it explains itself rather simply. But I don’t really get it. I don’t even know if I’m gonna get around to watching these two. I really don’t. Maybe I’ll start one episode of each and just see if I want to give one of them a go.
I don’t think I’m gonna ga be able to get through both of them. I just, I’m kind of game showed out at this point and then it’s not like I’m watching a ton of game shows. Oh, by the way, speaking of game shows, remember I was talking about the floor last week or maybe it was the week before I was like, Hey, are Kenny and Mari still on this thing?
And you, you told me Kenny’s already been eliminated. He did not have to face Mari. Well, I saw on my four you page on Twitter, it came across where Mari went up against somebody on the floor. I guess it was last week. And they had to do symbols. That was the category and it was just, some of them were really easy.
The plus sign, you just, Hey, that’s the plus sign, the division sign, semicolon, colon, exclamation point, parentheses like comma, all this stuff. But then you started to get into some weird ones and Mari ended up losing. So Mari is no longer on the floor based on what I saw. Anyway, I just, I’m kind of. I’m kind of out the valley starts this week.
I’m definitely gonna be watching that on Tuesday nights. I just don’t know if I’m able to get to Million dollar Secret and or got to get out, got to get out’s. Got a incredible cast. I mean, you talk about a cast that is a lot of named people. I mean, Spencer Pratt, Claire Crowley, Demi Burnett, O Omarosa, Rashad Jennings Susan Knowles from the Golden bachelor.
Who else? Some other names on there that I’m blanking on, but those are some of the big names on that, on that cast. And yeah, I just haven’t watched it. Don’t know if I’m gonna get around to it, but just want to give you a heads up because a few of you have asked, Hey, are you gonna be talking about either of these shows?
And I know both of them released all their episodes. They’re binged, I know Million Dollar Secret, released all their episodes I’m pretty sure got to get out. Did as well. And I also wanna talk about this. Did you see over the weekend at one of these fan fests? It was actually the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo this past Saturday.
For the first time ever, the whole cast of the Breakfast Club reunited, Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, John Nelson, Ali Shedi, Anthony, Michael Hall, they had never all been together. Usually it was Emilio that did not show up and he had skipped most of them, and this is the first time they’d all been together.
And it was interesting because when I see this, I didn’t realize, number one, this year it’s 40 years old. I’m wondering it’s gonna get rereleased in the theaters. I wanna say, you know, it’s very hard for a movie from 1985 to still hold up in 2025 because immediately any movie that’s made in the eighties, when you fast forward 40 years, immediately technology isn’t the same.
So in that aspect, no Breakfast Club doesn’t hold up because even if you did the same concept today in 2025, the people that were in detention would probably be able to have access. To their phones. This was five kids sent to detention for different reasons that they didn’t know about, and then by the end, they had all bonded together and developed friendships.
But it got a little deeper than that. When I saw this movie in the late eighties, you know, I was a teenager. There was some subject matter in that movie that I didn’t really probably get at the time, and I didn’t understand. Even though I thought I did ’cause I wanted to sound cool and be cool, like, oh yeah, I loved breakfast Love.
I always loved the movie for the things that I did understand in it. But as you get older and you watch it minus the technology part, it absolutely holds up in 2025 because it deals with clicks In high school, there’s literally, and I’m not talking about the parents that drop the kids off at the beginning of the episode and pick them up at the end.
There’s literally seven people in the whole cast in the whole movie. So it’s not like there’s a lot there. It’s not like there’s a bunch of different people. There’s the five students, there’s Principal Vernon and the janitor Carl, and that’s it. Like I said, outside of the parents that show up in the beginning of the movie and at the end of the movie to drop the kids off and pick ’em up, they’re barely in the movie.
They’re not integral parts of the movie at all. There’s only seven people in the whole movie. And I think it’s really, really interesting to watch it ’cause I’ve watched it recently within the last two months. Absolutely love Breakfast Club. It’s a really, really powerful movie and probably more powerful as I got older and started to understand things and became more of an adult.
But really, really good movie. If you’ve got teenagers, maybe they don’t wanna watch a movie from 1985. About high school, ’cause things are different now in school, but detention still happen, right? Do Saturday detentions still happen in high school? They probably don’t happen like that one. Only five people show up and five people are put in a room and just told not to talk for eight hours.
And that rule was basically disregarded within the first five minutes, but whatever the case, really, really good. Movie an all time classic. Most of the people that were in the Brat pack were in that movie just absolutely love it. Speaking of fan conventions or fan expos, I saw this on one of the Instagram accounts that I follow, and man, this was a stake to my heart Back to the future.
Also, 40 year anniversary is in 2025. And I saw it on the Back to the Future hq. Oh wait, lemme pull it up. Back to the Future HQ Instagram account. And they showed that to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, more cast members are joining the 40th annual celebration of Back to the Future in Dallas.
For Fan Expo Dallas. Don’t miss the biggest reunion yet. Now, I don’t know because they have the characters and the people. I don’t know if they’re just putting all these people on here because these are the ones that have agreed to come back, but if it is, everybody is on here. Biff Marty, doc Huey Lewis Lorraine.
Jennifer Parker, both Jennifer Parker’s, the one who played her in the first movie, and then Elizabeth Shu, who played her in in in part two and part three, principal Strickland, the singer Mayor Goldie Wilson. They’re all pictured in here, so I don’t know if this means they’re all coming. I can’t imagine they would lie, but it is possible or something might flake out.
Anyway, this is happening in Dallas on the 40 year anniversary of one of my all time favorite movies. You know how much I’m obsessed with back to the future, so I’m like, boom, I’m going. It’s literally 30 minutes from where I live. It’s at the K Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, and then I look at the dates, May 30th through June 1st, literally the weekend of my 50th birthday, and I’ll be in Vegas that weekend.
I’m going to miss this. Are you kidding me? Literally the three days that they are here. For this convention are the three days. Well, I’m in Vegas for four days, but I’m going to miss this. Ah, I cannot believe this. I hope they have another, if they have another 40 year anniversary back to the future and those people all go, they’re saying this is the biggest one yet.
In terms of how many of them are gonna be there from the original movie, I, I might have to make a trip somewhere. If they go to Chicago or something, or they go to I, because they’re gonna do this, I would think in a major city, but I, the fact that I’m missing it here in Dallas makes me think I, I’m gonna have to make this at some point.
So if anybody knows, if they have another one planned in 2025, please let me know. But I cannot believe When I went to buy tickets, it said May 30th to June 1st, and I’m literally in Vegas from May 29th to June 2nd. Hm, unreal. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts also rate in review, but you gotta hit play.
