I wanted to say something about my party, and I emailed this to everybody who is currently on the list for attending my party, but because I have so many email addresses on that list, I have to send it out in multiple emails, and I know in the past sometimes it has gotten sent to people spam emails, so.
If you know you are on the list for my party and you are coming to attend, uh, the fan appreciation party slash 50th birthday party on May 31st at House of Blues Mandalay Bay, that’s the only way you can attend. You have to have been on the list. You have to be on the list. You have to have emailed me.
I’ve had to tell you, yes, you are now on the list. So don’t just show up thinking you’re gonna get into this party. ’cause we will have people letting people in who are on a list that I’m gonna have written out on paper. So that’s the only way you’re getting into the party. With that said, I wanna thank somebody who informed me that, just my luck, the Kendrick Lamar.
Sza, is that how she pronounces her name? SZA sza. The Kendrick Lamar concert is happening the same night as my birthday, and it’s happening across the street at Allegion Stadium. And for those that don’t know, anytime there’s an event going on at Allegiant Stadium like WrestleMania this past weekend, or a concert or a football game, if you’re like, I wanna, I’m, I have tickets to the game, I wanna go, I’m gonna take a cab there.
Well, the cab doesn’t drop you off at the stadium. The cab drops you off at Mandalay Bay and then you have to walk over the bridge over the 15 freeway. To get to Allegiant Stadium? Well, considering that concert, I’m guessing probably starts at seven or seven 30, which is right around the time my party starts at seven o’clock on May 31st.
Uh, I sent this in an email to every everybody who is on my list, but if you did not get the email, hopefully you’re listening to this. If you are not staying at a hotel, which is in walking distance of Mandalay Bay. And I’d say the ones that are walking distance, at least for me during that time of the summer, basically, Luxor, Excalibur, New York.
York, New York, New York, maybe Park, MGM and MGM Grand. If you’re not staying at one of those hotels, you’re probably not gonna wanna walk to Mandalay Bay that night. So. That means you’re gonna have to take a cab or take a ride share. I’m just telling you right now, give yourself ample time to get over to Mandalay.
’cause it’s going to be a zoo that night. Because I just found out a few days ago, I did not know that the Kendrick Lamar concert was happening at the football stadium across the street from Mandalay the same night as my birthday party. So. If you are coming to my party and staying at a hotel that is not within walking distance of Mandalay, you can stay wherever you want.
I’m not saying don’t stay at that hotel, but I am giving you a five week heads up if you do want to change and you don’t want to have to deal with public transportation that night and just either not being able to get a cab or the cab just getting so backed up once they enter the Mandalay Bay area. I would suggest either staying at Mandalay, staying at one of the close hotels so you can just walk over or just give yourself ample time.
Honestly, if I, if I were you, I’d give yourself an hour. You know, there’s gonna start letting people into my party at 6:45 PM Party’s gonna start at seven. Seven ish. It’s gonna take me a while to get two, to get 200 people checked off and into the party. ’cause that’s how many people are on the list right now.
But. I, I would just get there early and if you have to just, you know, hang around the casino, that’s fine. It’s better to be there early than to wanna be rushing and, oh my gosh, it is so backed up because I, I can’t tell you how bad it’s gonna be ’cause I just don’t know. But knowing that a concert is happening at a 60,000 seat football stadium across the street.
Uh, I’m telling you, it’s not gonna be easy to a get a cab over there, or b, once you get in a cab, it’s not just gonna zoom right over there and drop you off. It’s going to be a lot of backed up. Public transportation. The other thing is if you do take a cab or a ride share there, they’re probably gonna price gouge you because they know that they can get more for people taking cabs over in that area due to a major concert happening that night.
That’s just the way they roll in Vegas on major event happenings. So just be prepared. I sent it out to everybody in email. I’m just saying this for people who might not have gotten the email if you didn’t check your spam, but it’s basically what I said in in the email. If you’re not within walking distance of Mandalay, please, please, please give yourself ample amount of time to get over to Mandalay that night because I have a feeling it’s going to be an absolute zoo and not because of my party, ’cause of the concert.
And so many cabs and ride shares are gonna be piled up at Mandalay Bay. And finally, I just want to mention this. I saw this on people.com, they have a show called The Fourth Wall that’s airing three times a week exclusively on the People app and. The byline of it says they’re gonna give you a behind the scenes look into the newsroom@people.com where they publish 200 stories every day and cover the hottest in Hollywood.
Get to know the faces, bringing you the latest scoop so it has the names and, and pictures. This is on their website of everybody, their hometown, their childhood dream, dream job, their favorite celebrity interview. But these episodes, I guess three times a week, are airing on the people app of the people that write these stories that you all read about.
What I wanna know is, hey, who’s the person behind all the stealing of, am I the asshole on Reddit? And you pass that off as your own stories. Like whose idea is that? Who is the ad wizard? Who behind that one? Remember that from SNL Adam Sandler? Long time ago. Anyway, when I saw this story, I’m like, wow, we’re gonna get a behind the scenes of people dot com’s newsroom.
Great. Who’s the genius? Who said, yeah, I don’t wanna write a story. I’m just gonna go to Reddit and steal a topic from, am I the asshole? Or whatever subreddit they’re going into, just to find out. Um, and just to not do any vetting and not even, and run a story that they have no idea if it’s even true or not.
Is that covered on this? The fourth wall people.com Short form reality show? Anybody watching, uh, put it this way? I’d be stunned if any of you are actually watching people’s short form reality show called The Fourth Wall. I didn’t know about this until yesterday. It was on their website. Are any of you really watching this?
I can’t imagine if you are, but please someone let me know if you are watching it. Let me know if anybody addresses who’s the author or who’s the writer behind.
