There’s just a lot here, so we’re only gonna go over two things today on the podcast, but definitely stick around for this because we all thought it would happen and. When David Ingris, her lawyer, basically said he doesn’t see any way she gets indicted. That pretty much solidified the fact that she was gonna get indicted because he’s been wrong about everything in this case, but it officially came down yesterday and we’ll talk about it momentarily.

That’s zoc doc.com, ZOCD c.com/reality. Steve zoc doc.com/reality. Steve, let’s begin with the indictment of Laura Owens. You know, this was first brought to our attention in August of 2023 when the son posted that article. Dave Neil and I were the first ones to talk about this publicly. Dave was the champion behind this.
I chimed in here and there when I felt I had something to say, but I. I think a lot of credit, in fact, I would say most of the credit goes to Dave Neil for the amount of tireless hours he put into this and was able to uncover a lot of things regarding the fraud and the deception that went back years in, in regards to this case, the things that he uncovered himself.
So to see it come to fruition yesterday after being there on June 10th last year in Arizona court, watching the trial, and then to see it all come to fruition yesterday with an indictment handed down, I, I do feel a sense of, I don’t know, civic duty, like I feel like I did contribute to this in some way.
Not nearly as much as Dave and the Justice for Clayton crew, but. I, I feel like justice was served. This is something that we were saying she should not be able to get away with this because it wasn’t just, oh, I’m pregnant and Clayton’s the father. And no, it was so much deeper than that. The lies, the scheming from Laura Michelle Owens was embarrassing.
And we’ve said for years, like, for the last two years, like, she needs help. And I don’t know what, you know, what becomes of this. We will, we will talk about it. And today, later on today, I’m gonna go live on my YouTube channel. Later on today, I don’t know what time, because we’re on Rachel Juarez’s schedule.
Rachel War is currently filming season 12 of Hot Bench. She’s gonna come on live during her lunch break tomorrow. She’s filming her show. They film it in Connecticut. She’s gonna let me know, but she never knows when the lunch break happens. She said somewhere between one and two o’clock Eastern time. So just know I will be going around that time.
Just follow me on my social media channels and I will go live and we’re gonna talk to Rachel about this ’cause she can break it down a hell of a lot more than I can when it comes to this. But here is the actual press release that was. Laid out yesterday by, by the Maricopa County Attorney General Rachel Mitchell, who remember a couple days ago we played what she said at that press conference.
Stay tuned. I. I said it at the time, everybody said it at the time. I don’t think you’re saying stay tuned for something that was a big, giant nothing burger. She knew something was coming. It was just a matter of when, and it came down yesterday. So the press release says Maricopa County Attorney General, or excuse me, attorney Rachel Mitchell has announced.
The indictment of Laura Michelle Owens on felony charges related to a paternity scheme. In July of last year, Marito County’s attorney’s office began to investigate Laura Owens at the request of a superior court judge. This came after the defendant made several inconsistent statements during a paternity hearing involving a former contestant on the television program.
The Bachelor Clay Eckard Owens originally filed a lawsuit seeking child support from Eckard, then dropped her claim, alleging she’d had a miscarriage. A grand jury has indicted Owens on the following. One count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, A class two felony, one count of forgery, a class four felony, four counts of perjury, a class four felony, one count of tampering with physical evidence, a class six felony.
And it also said that the bottom a criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. So. We will talk to Rachel about what happens from here. But I did speak with someone about who works in the Arizona court system and I asked them, Hey, what does all these felony counts mean?
Are we talking jail time? And what they wrote back was she is probation eligible on those charges? Since she has no criminal history, she could get jail time. Any probation could come up with up to a year in jail, but there’s no guarantee. So. We will talk to Rachel about it. Rachel immediately started reading a lot of the stuff in the Arizona court system yesterday to kind of get up to date on what she thinks can happen, and we’ll obviously talk to her about that today.
But she was reading the Arizona sentencing guidelines last night after this all came down, and she’s gonna come on today. So I would expect it sometime between one and two o’clock Eastern time, just because she doesn’t know. They do about eight cases a day on hot bench, and she never knows exactly when her lunch break is going to occur.
But she’s gonna come on and we’re gonna go live for however long we can. It’s not gonna take her too long to explain. It’s probably mean like 30 minutes or something like that. Maybe you might not have to have lunch tomorrow. Rachel, but I mean, again. I can’t say enough about the support that Dave had from a lot of you out there who contributed in some way, found things on the internet, found inconsistencies from past things that Laura Owens may have written in a blog past.
Things that she said, finding inaccuracies and flat out lies when depositions were released. I mean, this is. It’s, it’s really a look. I understand that she’s in trouble. We don’t know what’s going to happen. She might just get probation, but at least this is something that is going to, that was looked into, look, it even said it in the press release July of last year.
I mean, they’ve been investigating her for nine to 10 months now. So this wasn’t just like, oh, they just came to some bullshit reasoning and they just wanted to go after her. You know, I. We can talk about Jing all we want, but I am so done with that guy because all he is, anything he has to say about this is flat out wrong.
I’m sure he is gonna say, I still believe Laura, but it’s like at this point you’ve lost every single motion you filed in this. You said that there was no way Clayton was gonna win the appeal. He won the appeal. You said there’s no way Laura was ever gonna get indicted by a arizona prosecutor’s office, and here she is getting indicted.
So clearly all he’s doing is saying things that will appease his client, but he’s been wrong about everything and at this point it’s just him not willing to in it. You know what, maybe I didn’t look into things like I should have because that’s what it’s come down to. All this stuff that they investigated.
David Ingris didn’t investigate it. He didn’t wanna know anything that happened to Laura or anything she said, or anything she wrote, or anything that happened in a previous relationship, unless it was coming directly from her. He didn’t wanna hear about any of that. He didn’t wanna hear about anything that the justice for Clayton crew found online.
He didn’t want to hear anything about faked sonograms. He didn’t care because Rachel excuse me, Laura told him. Well, I didn’t do that, so he just immediately took that as well. She didn’t do it. That’s how you can say, oh, we’re never gonna lose the appeal. Oh, there’s no way she’s gonna get, you know, indicted on this.
Well, she got indicted on seven counts of stuff, so you’re so dead wrong on everything you say. And frankly, I, I don’t even care what he has to say at this point because we know it’s not gonna be. Unless, the only thing I care about David Ingris saying at this point is if he were to come out and say, oh shit man, I really misjudged my client and I’m disappointed in this.
Is he ever gonna say that in a million years? Of course not. So I don’t really care what he has to say about this. I think we’re all happy that the Maricopa County investigators found what we all knew, like. Not saying that the Justice for Clayton Crew and Dave Neil could have done the investigation themselves, but a lot of the stuff that they found was probably helpful to the investigators on this case.
I can’t imagine that it wasn’t because it literally pinpointed her in lies, in deception, in scheming, in forging documents. That was all found over the last year and a half. By people who were very invested in this case. So to me, justice has been served. I don’t know if she’s gonna go to jail for this. I think something needs to happen to her because she also lost more appeal money.
So she owes almost close to $200,000 now to Clayton and his attorneys. And will he ever see that? I don’t know, but I feel like Justice was served here. I’ve been saying that for a while. The last email I sent Laura Owens. I’m gonna read you directly. The last thing I sent to Laura Owens, this was January of 2024, so over a year ago.
The last thing I said to her was, Laura, the way you twist everything to fit your narrative is beyond embarrassing. Your email is a joke. You were never pregnant. You never address any specific questions about it, and we all know the truth. Zero remorse for what you’ve done to the legal system and to Clayton’s life.
I suspect nothing less from a professional con artist. So I’ll just let the Arizona courts take it from here. Can’t wait to hear the final results of all this. Good luck you’re gonna need it. Could that have been a any more perfect email? I’ll pat myself on the back for that one because I was dead right in January of 2024 when I sent that to her.
I always had a feeling that something bad was gonna happen to her with the court system. I just didn’t think there was too much out there against her. And that’s the last thing I sent to her. She never responded to me. The last correspondence we had, January 4th, 2024. I just read you the email. Boom.
