Good show for you today, Chris Harrison’s podcast. Is well premiered yesterday, I didn’t listen to it, but somebody in his PR team sent out a mass email to I guess content creators and I heard one thing he said on it and we will discuss it.
The upfronts? Yeah. Were yesterday in New York City for, I believe NBC, universal and Peacock and all that stuff. Got some thoughts on that. Something that I will bring up in the podcast, but I’m not gonna dive into it, was the Diddy trial that started yesterday. We will briefly, briefly go over that. And then another celebrity that I wanna bring up, I haven’t talked about her in a while, is Brittany, and I’ve got some thoughts.
We will get to all that momentarily. So in case you didn’t know Chris Harrison and Lauren Zema. Are married and they had a podcast for a while. What was the name of that thing? God, I’m totally blanking on it. It was called the most dramatic podcast ever. I. And then all of a sudden back in December, it just disappeared.
Now, if you are a subscriber to it, you’ll see episodes are released two or three times a week, but yet we have no idea why Chris and Lauren aren’t part of it in the last episode that they ever recorded with them on it. Never any mention that this is our last podcast, so nobody knows what in the hell happened, and just like other podcasts feeds, it’s just a bunch of other shows appearing on that podcast.
So I don’t understand how that all works. But him and Lauren haven’t had a podcast since December, haven’t put out anything since December. And then last week he said, Hey, we’re back in the podcast world and the TV world. We are launching a new TV show on Merit Street Media, which is Dr. Phil’s. Network and it’s going to be a 30 minute show, and then it’s also in a podcast.
So I didn’t listen yesterday. I didn’t watch his show or listen. So I’m assuming this 30 minute show, which I believe is filmed in their home and they just sit at a table and talk about pop culture and entertainment news. I’m sure that that is just recorded and that’s released in audio version as well as part of their podcast.
Well anyway, it’s called Through the Drama with Chris and Lauren and one of the topics, as I said in the open, I got an email and this email is from press@meritstreetmedia.com. So clearly I’m on their email list. This was email blasted to everybody and this is what the email said. Hello, Steve. So what they probably did was on every single email, they just went in and changed the first name of the person they were emailing it to, because there’s no way this was just sent to me.
But hello Steve, on this seasoned premiere of Through the Drama with Chris and Lauren, Chris Harrison offers some advice to legendary coach Bill Belichick ahead of his upcoming interview with Michael Strahan. On Friday’s go to Morning America. Now, if you don’t know. Living under a rock. Bill Belichick is 73 years old and he’s dating a 24-year-old.
I’m sure it’s true love. I’m sure he’s head over heels for her and she’s absolutely madly in love with a guy 50 years, her senior. Just, just disgusting. I mean, look, come on. Let’s face it. We know what this is. We know exactly what this relationship is. It’s dumb. It’s just dumb. Nobody buys it for a second.
You’ve heard all the stories that have been going around exactly like this chick is absolutely running his life. She’s making. Things a living hell for people at UNC where he is now the head coach of, and apparently people are doing some digging on her and it’s getting worse. Apparently she’s lied about her age.
She might actually be 23 instead of 24. She finished second Runner up and Miss Maine this past weekend. Bill Belichick attended, like, this is just creepy. You’re allowed to date people older and younger than you. Okay. Nobody’s saying you’re not but 50 years, no. No, we, we get it. We know in Hollywood, older men want younger women.
We know that’s not even just necessarily Hollywood. I mean, you would, that’s just kind of been the thing. Older men, like younger women, okay, we get it. But it’s one thing to be 12 years older than your. Girlfriend, if you’re a guy, 15 might be pushing it. It all, I mean it all depends. I mean, if you are 35 and you’re dating a 20-year-old, that’s creepy.
If you are 55 dating a 40-year-old, not nearly as creepy. ’cause you’re both older now. Bill Belichick is 73 and she is 24. Well, she might actually be 23 ’cause some people are doing some digging and uh uh, apparently this has been found out. It hasn’t been confirmed yet. But there are reports out there that she’s lied about her age.
So this thing is just a train wreck and nobody understands why the greatest football coach in NFL history is involving himself with a girl 50 years younger than him. So anyway, that’s what’s happening on that front. Well, bill Belichick is doing an interview on Good Morning America this Friday with Michael Strahan, and so the point of this email that I got was apparently yesterday on through the drama with Chris and Lauren.
Chris Harrison said referencing his own experience with the network, quote, as someone who has the scars and wounds from the Hatchet job, Michael Strahan and a BC News did to me. Don’t do this interview with them. End quote. Alright. That quote is all I needed to know to know that I will never be tuning into through the drama with Chris and Lauren.
You know why? Because that’s quite hypocritical of Chris Harrison and it makes you think that everything that he did say, I mean, I went back ’cause I was like, wait a second, what did I miss in this Chris Harrison Michael Strahan interview from when Chris got in trouble back for his interview with Rachel Lindsay and now he’s saying it was a hatchet job by Michael Strahan and a BC News.
All Chris Harrison did on that interview was apologize. So basically now by saying it was a hatchet job by what Michael Strahan and a BC news did to me. So basically now he’s saying he didn’t mean anything, he said, and in that interview he said, I denounce all racism and oppression. Antebellum parties are not acceptable At any point, I apologize to Rachel, Lindsay, anybody giving her any hate needs to stop it.
And now he’s saying that was a hatchet job by Michael Strahan. So essentially you don’t believe what you said. That makes it even look even worse for you because while he did say that on the Michael Strahan interview, Michael Strahan gave his opinion after Chris Harrison left that interview and said, not really sure I’m buying what he’s selling, essentially.
And he said like he felt like he was getting answers from a politician, essentially, and that he was just saying things to say things. And he was almost like reading from a script. Either way. I guess I just need Chris to go into a little bit more, and maybe he did, and maybe this is my fault for not listening to the whole podcast, but just the idea that he’s calling that interview he did with Michael Strahan a Hatchet job and what they did to him.
What, what did they do to you? They gave you the platform to apologize for the things that you said in your interview with Rachel Lindsay, and all you did was apologize in that whole interview. So I’m very, very confused and. You know, Chris Harrison doesn’t owe me anything, and it’s not like he’s listening to this, but I just thought for your first show, you’re literally gonna come out guns blazing and call Michael Strahan, an A BC news, an interview that you did with them, a hatchet job, and the scars and wounds that you had from it.
So to me, to me that is Chris Harrison basically. Not taking any accountability for what he did and said in that interview with Rachel Lindsay, how else can I take it? It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s sorry anymore. He’s almost sounding like, yeah, I was forced to do that. Well, if you were forced to do that, that means you didn’t mean it.
That means you thought everything you said in the Rachel Lindsay interview was dead on and you were, your takes were hot as hell. And this is me and this is who I am. I. This guy, we haven’t heard from you in God knows how long. This is your first podcast or TV show. It’s a 30 minute show on a network, merit Street Media that I guarantee you if you asked 99% of the people in this country what channel is Merit Street Media on on your cable provider, they wouldn’t have a fucking clue.
So. Easy there, Chris. Trying to make headlines in your first story, in your first show. But my gosh, I, that is just, it’s embarrassing really. But I don’t know. I look, it’s not like this guy needs the money. We all know he got at least a eight figure payout for the settlement from everything that went down, but.
When, when you just look at it now, I mean, I re I went back and watched the Michael Strahan interview. Not only did he do all that apologizing, he also said he didn’t think he was gonna lose his job. He can’t wait to get back to his job. And then remember the first podcast that he released when he did on, on that podcast when he first came out with his podcast, which was the the most dramatic podcast ever.
Remember that first one that he did? We went over it on this podcast. One of the first things he said and he kept talking about in that first episode, was he, yeah, I was ready to leave that show. I just, there were so many things going on yet that’s not what he said in the A, b, C interview. He said, this is, this is not gonna be the final thing you hear from me.
I’m looking forward to getting back to my job and finishing the story and making things right. And then he gets on his first podcast and his first public speaking since then and he was just like, yeah, I was ready to leave that show. Bullshit, bullshit. You absolutely would’ve been host of the Bachelor, probably still to this day, if you never had that interview with Rachel Lindsay, don’t tell me that you were thinking about leaving ’cause you weren’t.
