Daily Roundup 5/21 – The Valley Ep #6, What’s Going on with Michelle & Jesse, “The Fall of Favre” Now on Netflix, Jenn Sterger on the Podcast Tomorrow, & Survivor Finale Tonight

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Wednesday. A good show for you. Today we’re gonna talk about the Valley. Which had episode, I believe, six last night. A lot of things to go over on that. I’m also going to discuss.

The Fall of Fav, which was released yesterday on Netflix. Some of you have messaged me about it. You did take the time to watch it yesterday. If you couldn’t watch it yesterday, I’d watch it today. ’cause I think maybe you’ll get a better understanding for Jen Sturger, our guest on episode number 4 44.

Tomorrow, you’ll at least know her backstory going in because it’s not like when I have Jen on tomorrow, we’re gonna rehash everything. It’s a very sore subject for her and. It’s just something that she has to relive now. I mean, this happened in 2010. I hope your take isn’t, then why is she talking about it?

Because that’s just ignorant to say that. But we are gonna talk about the fall of far. A couple things I wanted to, to add about this survivor finale happening tonight. Plus we get some information regarding season 50. So we’re gonna get to all that momentarily. But let’s first start out with the Valley.

Season, season six, season two, episode six. Basically we got the tail end of how last week’s episode ended, which was Jasmine and Brittany going after Nia for essentially kind of hiding her relationship with Danny. Everyone else puts their lives out there, and Nia and Danny wanna be private. I have the same exact take that I had last week.

That’s their prerogative if they don’t want to. Out the relationship on television. Brittany chooses, no one has put a gun to Brittany Cartwright and Jack’s Taylor’s head and said, you have to be on TV talking about your problems. So it’s just a weird flex for Brittany to throw that at Nia. Why can’t you say your husband’s drunk?

Okay. He was, but then was still upset. Obviously it didn’t last very long. I just thought that argument was not a good look for Britney. And if Nia and Danny don’t want to put their lives out there as publicly as others on the show do, that’s their prerogative. I don’t understand why others get mad, and especially the reasons that they got mad, which was we all share our lives with everyone.

Hey, no one’s forcing you to do anything. You could literally not be a part of this show if you wanted to. So she can miss me with that. Brittany, I, I don’t agree with her on that. I agree with her on pretty much everything. When it comes to her shitty ex-husband, but on this one, she lost me. I don’t get it.

It wasn’t a major fight. And you know, by the end of the episode they had pretty much made up. So it really wasn’t much. But we were out of Santa Barbara in the first 10 minutes of the episode, so they were back in the valley for the rest of the episode and we got to see Sheena. Arrive on the show. I believe this is only the second time we’ve seen her appear this season.

Whatever the case, she met Michelle for a hike. Clearly, it was just done. Well, look, I I, I think you know this by now, but this whole show, and every single real Housewives show, every single scene. There’s nothing organic about any of them. You know, it’s not like Michelle and Sheena called each other and said, Hey, let’s go for a hike.

Everything about this show is storyboarded about. Okay. In this episode, we’re gonna have Michelle and Sheena go on a hike to talk about what happened in Santa Barbara. Jesse planning a Santa Barbara trip that has to be planned way in advance to get everything cleared so they can film up there. So Jesse just saying, I want to take us all to Santa Barbara, like that was cleared months earlier.

So nothing about this show is organic. Every single party that’s attended is it’s planned way in advance. So. I don’t know if that was some sort of workout with Michelle and Sheena, but it was, I guess it was just a way to shoehorn Sheena onto the show because why was it I, I guess I was gonna say, why was it her, but she wasn’t in Santa Barbara and the point of the whole conversation was for Michelle to let Sheena know what went down in Santa Barbara, whatever.

Either way, the main thing to take outta that conversation between Sheena and Michelle is Michelle told Sheena. That Aaron, her boyfriend, her new boyfriend, while he loves her and he sees a future with her and he loves Isabella, he also said, I cannot deal with your ex-husband. And if basically, if things don’t change, maybe we should take a break or maybe we should break up.

Maybe we shouldn’t see each other. He’s having a hard time dealing with Jesse and the way Jesse is and probably the moods that he puts Michelle in. And so that’s what we got outta that. They showed us a conversation of Aaron telling Michelle this. That’s the only time we saw it. As far as I know Michelle and Aaron are still together, but I could be, I could be wrong.

I don’t know. I haven’t really followed their relationship in real time. So after we get that conversation, Jesse has the life coach over the life coach that we saw in season one that was working with Michelle and Jesse and

you know, I don’t know. I’ve never had a life coach. I don’t really don’t know exactly. It’s just someone to give advice. Right. Do you have to be. Go to get some sort of schooling. To be considered a life coach, you have to read a certain amount of things. You have to do a journal. I, I don’t know. I don’t know what it takes to be a life coach, but this guy’s a life coach and basically told Jesse, because Jesse is starting to wonder, or not wonder, but he’s concerned about why Michelle triggers him so much.

I think a lot of us know, I think he’s. Hurt because she rejected him and she left him. And I think that there is a part of him that still wants her and that’s why he gets so triggered by her. And the fact that she’s moved on, I think hurts him as well. That’s just my psycho analyzation from my couch.

But the life coach told him no more acting like a dick dude. And Jesse even threw in there, even if she does this, this, this, and this. He’s like, yes. You can’t react to that. And he is like, you wanna scream into a pillow? And I didn’t know whether even the life coach said, this is either gonna be really funny to you or you’re gonna end up crying.

I don’t think Jesse was crying at the end of it, he just said that felt really good. He screamed into a pillow as lousy code three times and I’m watching and I’m like, I don’t even know if this is serious or this is funny. I didn’t know whether to laugh or feel bad for the guy. Does screaming into a pillow really do anything?

The audience didn’t seem to think so. ’cause that was one of the poll questions on Watch Crack Happen live afterwards, and basically the audience I think was like 85%. No, I don’t think I’ve ever screamed into a pillow to get frustration out. I don’t know. Maybe it works for some people. Hell, if I know then.

The women had to get together because they wanted to talk about what happened in Santa Barbara. And Nia started sharing her past, which is she basically came from very humble beginnings, lived in tents and backyards of people’s houses, lived in, she was homeless for a while, lived in cars. So she’s very appreciative for everything that she has, and I, I find it, Janet then chimed in.

About the whole Danny drinking in the pantry. And that seemed to set Nia off a little bit. And Janet sang, she was with an ab someone who was a drinker before an alcoholic and a drug user. And then Nia iss like, wait a second, now you’re, now you’re comparing Danny to an alcoholic and a drug abuser. I, I think that’s a wrong comparison.

Yeah. Like, no, no, no, no. That’s not what I’m saying. But, and I think that it kind of was what she was saying. But I, I wanna go back to Michelle for a second because this is something that’s really confusing me. If you watched Watch Crack Happen Live last week, Jesse was on it with Danny, and one of the questions from the audience was basically, how are you and Michelle right now?

And he said, I think Michelle and I are in the best place we’ve ever been in. You will see it play out during the season, so we’re gonna see them get to a better place by the end of the season. But that show last week was live, so it was last Tuesday night. Jesse on the show said Michelle and I are in the best place that we could possibly be in, well today on the vial files.

I refuse to call it the vial files when his last name is Vaal. So he is just changing the sound of his name just to. Make a cute title out of his podcast. Anyway, I saw a clip of the Vial Files Instagram account, promoting the fact that Michelle is on the Instagram on his podcast today, and everything in that clip made Michelle basically sound like Jesse’s the worst human being ever.

She even had fucking Natalie crying in the clip. So. I’m guessing nothing happened in the last week. So my guess would be that Jesse’s lying and lied last week when he said, Michelle and I are in the best place we’ve ever been in because I’m assuming Nick taped this interview with Michelle probably within the last, I don’t know, 3, 4, 5 days.

How can it be that bad in the last week? She has nothing good to say about him, at least in the preview. Now I’m not gonna listen to the interview. I’m sure there will be a summary of it somewhere that I’ll read, but I, it’s just, it’s just mind boggling. It makes it think, it makes me think that Jesse’s lying again, and not that I’m team, anybody, like I don’t, don’t.

I don’t, I watched the show, but I don’t care about these people enough to start saying, I’m team this, and I’m team that. You obviously know who I tend to lean towards and like, but it doesn’t mean I’m just like, oh my gosh, they, they can never do anything wrong. Obviously I’m not a fan of Jacks. I don’t like the way he acts.

I think he’s a complete douche bag and he’s a horrible human being who treats his wife like shit and has for years. So, but. This whole Michelle Jesse thing is really interesting. I guess when that interview comes out today, we’ll find out more, but Jesse’s sang on the live show after the Valley last week with Andy Cohen.

Best place we’ve been in. I think we’re in a really good place right now. It seems like that’s not even true, so I, I’m curious to see what happened. And speaking of watch Crack happen live, which is what I call it because that show is on crack. It moves at the speed of light. Andy Cohen asks 5,000 questions in a 30 minute episode, which with commercials is like 22 minutes.

Just so many things happening and so many different named segments work. The polls exorcism of Janet and so, so Janet and Jason were on the show last night. Basically every single poll question they did that revolved around Janet or Jason, or basically Janet. The audience does not like Janet at all.

Every single question they asked about her, the polls were not in her favor. So Jason, supportive husband seems like a good dude. I don’t think Janet is as bad as the audience is making her seem, but I also don’t think she’s squeaky clean. The question there, there was one segment called the truth bomb, where Andy asked her, basically the question that I brought up the last two weeks that I was seeing, did you basically move to LA to try and infiltrate Vanderpump rules to get on the show?

And she, she, her answer was no, essentially. And that said, and said, I know this makes for great tabloid fodder, and it is, but that’s not how it happened. I became really close friends with Sheena, and then Andy asked her, well, did you know she was gonna be at this party? That’s why you showed up. ’cause you wanted to be friend her.

And she said, no, it wasn’t a party that was advertised. So who knows is what it is at this point. She’s on the show, she’s now making a career out of being a, a cast member on the valley, and she seems to be pissing off a lot of the fan base. So she’s gonna have to deal with that. That was mostly episode six.

I do like the fact that when I set to record this show, it automatically records watch Crack happen live afterwards because you almost have to, like, the show is an hour, but you kind of have to watch that after the fact because Andy does as wild ass as that show is and on fire as that show is with just so many things going on.

In so many different segments and sound bites and noises, he does ask the questions that everybody wants to know and he puts a lot of people on the spot. And there are things that are, I mean, Danny said last week, I think he was asked the question, who’s the one woman on the show that you don’t get along with the most whatever?

And he said, and he, he basically called Janet a toxic person. And then this week Andy asked Janet. When Danny said you were a toxic person last week, what do you think about that? And she said, I thought that was a low blow. And you know, so there’s obviously tension between Danny and Nia and Janet probably stemming from last night’s episode.
