So a story came out the other day and it was with. Jen Tran’s ex, the guy that showed up in, I can’t remember what location it was on her season. Remember her, her ex showed up and he said he booked a flight to go meet up with her because he wanted to see if he could get another chance with her.
Well, his name is Maddie Rossi and he came out the other day on a podcast. I dunno if it was his own or somebody else’s podcast, but he came out as bisexual and. What’s interesting is we know that there’s a lot of clickbait stories out there, and we know that there are a lot of, especially when it comes to Facebook.
I, I just, I would just tell anybody who gets any of their news from Facebook, well don’t, because there are so many clickbait stories on Facebook, and even if you see a headline, usually you have to go into the comment section to click on the story. And usually the story doesn’t even match up with the headline.
Well, and there’s also a lot of bogus websites out there. There is a bachelor Facebook page called The Bachelor Show Us Fan. So what did they do about this story? Here’s what it says. Gen Trans X demonstrator has publicly come out as bisexual. Moving on from their whirlwind engagement and split weeks after filming ended.
And there’s a picture of Jen and a picture of Maddie Rossi. So number one, I. This is a bogus website that just takes stories that other people post and tries to aggregate them. But this one obviously screwed it up by saying that Devon Strader, her ex, was the one that came out as bisexual, which has not happened as far as I know.
And they didn’t even put Devon’s picture. They used Maddie’s picture, so they had the right picture and the wrong name, and then they wanted you to click on it. And it’s just, it’s that one. It’s that one site that I’ve talked about in the past. Cafe Biz. I’m telling you right now, if you get your information from a website named Cafe Biz and you believe it, I almost feel sorry for you that you don’t know by now.
Cafe Biz is not a website. I mean, it’s a website, but it’s not a website. You should be reading for any sort of news whatsoever. And you know, I’m not a huge fan of demonstrator. You know that, but that was wrong. Of them to post that. Like if you wanna relay the Jen Tran and her ex came out as bisexual story, fine, but maybe get your information right and not say her ex demonstrator, but then use a picture of Maddie.
Just so irresponsible and so ridiculous that it, it drives me nuts. I’ve told you this numerous times. It’s what drives me nuts. About social media nowadays, there’s just zero repercussions, uh, for that. That site will continue to go on. There’ll still be a Facebook page for it, and nothing will happen to them because they don’t care.
So a trader’s season forecast was leaked yesterday online, and it came up with 16 names. And I, you know, I, I believe you know, this didn’t come from peacock itself. There isn’t official announcement gone to the entertainment sites, but when you see something like this, just pretty much be assured that I think this is probably the cast.
If anything, maybe there’s 18 or 20 people in the cast and they just don’t have. Two to four of them, but the 16 names that are out there, Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives. Rob Storino from Survivor and Rob has a podcast. Ian Terry from Big Brother Tiffany Mitchell from Big Brother Natalie Anderson from the Amazing Race and Survivor Jam.
Jam from Survivor, Donna Kelsey, Travis’s mother, and Travis and Jason’s mother. Uh, Monet Xchange from Drag Race. Colton from the Bachelor, mark Ballast from Dancing With the Stars, Lisa Rena from me Housewives, Portia Williams from Real Housewives, Candace Bassett from Real Housewives, Maura Higgins from Love Island, Johnny Weir, the Figure Skater, and Eric Nam, the singer.
Just a quick glance at that cast, kind of underwhelming, at least to me it is. I just. I, you know, I know I don’t watch The Housewives show, but I know Lisa Rena and I know Porsche Williams. I know the names, I know how they are names in that franchise, but
Rob ces, Nino is a good get, but. You know, Ian, Terry, Tiffany from Big Brother who has been on the Challenge, Natalie, who’s been on multiple shows. Jam Jam is the first time we’ve seen him since he won Survivor. You know, Donna Kelsey, I, I just, these are just reality show names. There’s just nothing here that I think, I think Last Season’s cast blows this one out of the water, and I’m sure this is most of the cast, if not all of them.
I just don’t think that there’s a lot of star quality here in this cast. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m underestimating those real wives, real housewives, women, and you know, mark Ballas. Okay. You know, they ca they cast someone from Dancing with the Stars every season. Like they’ve kept with their mold of, we’re gonna get some survivor contestants on, we’re gonna get some big brother people on.
We’re gonna get some housewives on. So it’s like, okay, we all, those people have been on multiple shows, so those aren’t really just unbelievable. Gets like, oh my gosh. So then it comes down to the non-reality show people that they get, I mean, I guess Donna Kelsey’s a, a big name, but we have no idea really about her personality.
Eric Nam, the singer. I, I have no idea who that is. Johnny Weir’s been on multiple reality shows as well. Like, I don’t know, maybe, maybe I’m in the minority here, but, uh, this cast does really nothing for me. I’m gonna watch the show, but I, I don’t see a lot of star quality in that cast. And when I remember Season Three’s cast coming out, I was like, whoa, they got some heavy hitters on this one and this cast, I don’t know, I just don’t see it.
One of the more viral songs in the last, I don’t know, five, six years was The Whip and the Ne Nay. Now watch me. Oh geez. I said the last five or six years, this song came out in 2015. Oh my gosh. I feel old. Anyway, watch me Whip then watch me. Nay. Nay. Well that guy Silent to, he’s going to the pokey for 30 years ’cause he killed his cousin.
Maybe you shouldn’t kill family members. Hell, let me rephrase that. Maybe you shouldn’t kill anybody silent to,
so he’s, he’s entering a plea of guilty but mentally ill that he killed his cousin in 2021, sentenced to 30 years in prison for his crime whip. Nene was a very popular song. I remember during C when TikTok kind of took off and everybody was doing dances, there were a lot of TikTok dances to that song and Silent To Will now be going away for a very, very long time, unfortunately.
And finally. Very rarely does a movie get a a, a sequel 40 years after the fact, and that sequel is bringing back the main characters because if it’s getting a sequel, usually either a lot of the people from the original aren’t alive anymore, or they’re just gonna go with different people. Well, one of the.
Best comedies from the late eighties was Spaceballs, which was a spoof on Star Wars and a lot of other space movies. It was done by Mel Brooks, who was a, who was known for doing parody movies. And it was on, I mean, I, I’m telling you right now, I saw Space Balls in the movie theater like five times during the summer when it came out.
I just thought it was so funny. I was 12 years old at the time. Some of the humor probably went over my head. It was definitely a little, some lines were a little sexual, but to me, having grown up watching Star Wars movies, I, I just thought it was hilarious. And I don’t dunno if you remember this, during COV when everything was being done online, Josh Gad actor.
Voice actor started doing things on YouTube where he would gather the casts of some of his favorite movies from the eighties. He did. Back To the Future, he did Karate Kid, he did a lot. And there were others, but those are the first two that come to mind. ’cause I watched them and I was like, this is so cool that this guy’s doing this.
’cause he was just a fan and he wanted to, you know, keep people entertained during COVID where we were all bored out of our mind. And Josh Gad is actually helping write the movie with Mel Brooks. Mel Brooks is 98 years old, still alive. He’s coming back. Rick Moranis, who literally has quit Hollywood and hasn’t been in a movie I think in 30 years, is coming back to reprise his role as dark helmet.
Bill Pullman is coming back to reprise his role as Lone Star. Now. If you saw the movie, lone Star had a sidekick named Barf. Who was John Candy? Obviously John Candy is dead now and you know, those were the three that were announced that are coming back. Daphne Zuniga played Princess Vespa. She’s got a podcast now with her Melrose Place Girls, Courtney Thorn Smith and Laura Leighton, I would think if they call her, she’s in.
Why wouldn’t she want to go back and be Princess Vespa 40 years later? So I would think that she’s in, but the only three they officially announced were Bill Pullman, Mel Brooks and Rick Moranis coming out of retirement. And they said the movie’s coming out in May of 2027. So two years from now, we’re getting 40 years to the day Space Balls.
The sequel is coming out and. And it still holds up today. There are so many good lines in that movie, and if you listen to my podcast last Thursday where I talked about Monday Night Poker with the boys that I play, that we started during COVID, we’ve been doing for five years. Every Monday night we play for fun, we play on poker stars, and then we all get on a Zoom together so we can just shoot the shit.
One of the things that we do on Monday nights is literally just quote movies from the eighties. I mean, it’s just, it’s, it’s nonstop for five years. The amount of movie quotes that we do over and over and over again, space Balls is definitely one of the top five movies that we quote on Monday nights. So I, I, I, I had heard rumors, Josh Gadd had talked about this during COVID when he was doing those reunions of casts from movies in the eighties and.
I just didn’t think it was ever gonna happen, and now they made it official yesterday and I can’t tell you how excited I am. So Space Ball’s, the sequel. Coming in May of 2027. Can’t be more excited.
