The other thing I wanna bring up is in regards to what I said yesterday about Katie Thurston, who went on her Instagram stories two nights ago to call out Cody Mank, who was on her season, I think I said yesterday. He lasted three episodes, apparently he only lasted two.
And remember he came outta limo with a blow up doll, and he talked about how the blowup doll was his closest friend during COVID. And then I. Had the whole beef with Aaron Clancy. ’cause they knew each other pre-show and I just wanted to bring up and Yes. There were quite a few of you yesterday that emailed me and said, Steve, you said that Jeff Arry was Katie’s boyfriend, that’s her husband.
And I said, well, I think you, I think you emailed me right after you heard me say it the first time when I called Jeff her boyfriend. But like two minutes later. I even said like, oh wait, did I just call Katie? Did I just call Jeff Katie’s boyfriend? No, it’s her husband. So yes, I did correct myself within the same podcast, but I, I must have gotten seven or eight emails on that of people saying, Steve, you called Jeff Katie’s boyfriend, they got married.
So keep listening. I corrected myself, but the other thing I wanted to bring up, like I brought up yesterday, was the whole. Taisha thing that I found interesting, like this has nothing to do with Oh, Taisha interfered or anything like that? No, it wasn’t anything like that. Taisha was just a host on the season, and Taisha was not part of any dates in terms of she, she wasn’t being courted by any of the men.
But it’s funny because I’ve known about this for five years and I, unless one time I said it in passing. Four years, ’cause KDC aired in 2021. I, unless I said it in passing, I’ve just never talked about it and I just found it. It’s an interesting note that the hosts of that season, one of the hosts of that season, knew one of the guys.
And at no point did us at viewers know that Taisha. Knew Cody mek. Now it’s also not like, oh, she knew him in passing or they ran in the same circles or, you know, they were once part of the same softball team back in whatever in Orange County or Southern California. No, like Cody me was close enough friends with Taisha to where if you scroll down, way down and Tisha’s Instagram page, you can still see it.
Unless she deleted it yesterday, I don’t think she would’ve. December 30th, 2012. There’s a picture of Tisha and Cody, just the two of them. Tisha was married at this time, just the two of them in a car, seemingly driving to Mammoth because the caption read New Year’s Eve in Mammoth. Can’t wait. And then she tagged her husband at the time, Josh Burrell, and tagged Cody, whose Instagram handle at the time is different than what it is now.
The picture is just Taisha and Cody basically saying, headed to Mammoth for New Year’s Eve, and it was December 30th, 2012. I have it screenshot on my phone in case she deletes it. But again, this isn’t some sort of outing of anybody other than she knew one of the guys and it and us as viewers had no idea that Tisha knew Cody and Cody was involved in some drama.
So I guess they could have. It would’ve maybe been interesting if Tatia pulled Katie aside at some point and says, I used to know Cody used to hang out with him back in the day. I mean, granted, it was what Katie season filmed in 2021, that picture, and when Tatia and her husband at the time spent Mammoth, spent New Year’s in Mammoth was December of 2012, so it was eight years later.
I have no idea. How much longer after 2013 New Years? Isha and her husband, or Isha and Cody remained friends? I have no idea. It might have been another six months. It could have been another couple years. Either way. It was so long before it, but like I said, it wasn’t like he was just some guy in passing or she a guy she casually knew.
She spent a New Year’s Eve with the guy with her husband. You know, partying it up. So they clearly had a, a friend group together. And I just thought it would’ve been interesting to throw it into the show because Cody was involved in some drama on that season, so why not throw it in there? I don’t know.
It was just weird to me. And I just wanted to, to, to point it out. When I saw Katie comment about Cody on her Instagram story the other day, and I messaged Katie on Instagram, she didn’t know. ’cause remember yesterday I said maybe Taisha said something to her off air. And it just wasn’t brought up to our viewers.
Based on what Katie told me. That was the first she had heard of it. And so yeah, I mean, what he said to her was ridiculous. He got called out yesterday and Cody claimed, well, I didn’t know she had cancer. Well, that’s not the point. The point is why even say that? He basically said, oh, I was just joking around.
This guy’s going through a sobriety journey. All of his recent videos on his Instagram page are talking about what a deep, dark place he was in when he was constantly using drugs and now he’s on a sober journey, but then he takes time out of his day to call Katie and her husband a five. Like, what was the point of that?
That just has bully energy? And someone corrected him on it yesterday. Kind of gave a half-ass apology. Oh, I didn’t even know she had cancer. It shouldn’t matter that she has cancer. That has nothing to your comment, had nothing to do with her having cancer. It was basically just, I don’t know, shaming them for the way they look.
Just, just a bad look all around. And he couldn’t even, couldn’t even take accountability when he was called out for it. And finally. Let’s discuss what happened on Big Brother last night, the eviction episode. We saw the big, the BB Blockbuster, big Brother Blockbuster between Riley and Kelly and Jimmy. I don’t know what Kelly’s deal was because the two times that she has won BB Blockbuster, she has worn that kind of lightish brown cardigan.
She had it on during the first 20 minutes of the show when she was sitting on the nominees couch. But when she went in to participate, she took it off. I’m like, Kelly, that’s like your good luck sweater. You’ve won two BB blockbusters in those thing. In that thing. Why would you possibly take it off? And we saw RI ended up winning.
There was just no way that Jimmy was gonna beat Kelly based on the stuff that was going down all week. We did get a moment that I don’t think, based on what I’m seeing online and what people are saying, I don’t think it’s ever happened before, where somebody places their vote to evict, walks out of the room and then runs back in 30 seconds later and says, whoa, whoa.
Wait a second. I meant I meant to say I vote to evict Jimmy. And Julie’s like, no, no, no. I, I don’t know what Ashley was thinking. Maybe just Ashley didn’t want to be on, didn’t wanna be part, not being a part of the house vote. Now this is gonna drive Mickey nuts because Ashley’s gonna think unless someone told her the rules.
Ashley’s gonna think that her changing of her vote from voting Kelly to voting. Jimmy, she probably thinks it got changed, so she knows Rachel voted. They’re probably all gonna wonder, well, who’s the second vote? And Ashley probably thinks in her head, well, it wasn’t me. I changed my vote. Who knows what’s gonna happen as I’m recording this.
We do not know who won. Had a household last night, or I don’t know who won. Had a household last night, hasn’t come to fruition yet, but. We can pretty much see the divide in the house. And what Jimmy said in his talk with Julie after the fact is he said, Vince, Zach and Morgan are running this game. And based on the things that I see, they certainly look to be running this game.
Now, if Keanu won HOH last night, or Rachel won HOH last night, there’s a good chance those three exactly are the ones going up. But if someone like Ava wins it or will, I don’t know, because then will voted with the house last night. But I thought Will was in good with Rachel. So I, I, I really don’t know where the next vote is going.
Clearly, I don’t know because we don’t know who won HOH, but
it’s almost like. People are gonna want to get Keanu and Kelly out ’cause Kelly still is good at competitions and Keanu has won three straight power of Vetos. That’s who people are targeting. So it’s gotta be Rachel, Keanu, or Kelly. If any of those three win, we’re gonna get a major shakeup in the house in terms of who’s going up.
And remember when this season started and it was Hotel Myster and they had all these twists and turns and mystery this and mystery that, and who’s this weirdo in the Darth Mall mask? Where did any of that go? It’s completely disappeared. Like there’s no mystery to this season. I almost feel like producers having seen the same fucking people go up in the first four ceremonies.
I think that they’re gonna have to throw something into this that maybe they didn’t have planned at the beginning of the season. I think they’re just gonna be like, look, we gotta shake things up. This is getting way too boring. These people are all going after the same people every single week. Let’s throw a wrench into this game.
Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. But I’m just saying, I think they should at this point. They’ve gotta bring something back with the creepy dude with the mask. And give another power advantage out. I don’t know, but my gosh, I don’t think producers can be happy with this season. And the sentiment online by a lot of the big brother recaps is this is the worst group of strategic players this game has ever had.
They said, these players are absolutely clueless when it comes to strategy outside of Rachel. There’s not a single person that I’ve seen online saying. Wow, this cast really knows what they’re doing. Ri didn’t even know, based on something that he said, he technically didn’t even know that the Thursday night when they compete.
First off, I don’t believe he knew that was on Thursdays. And number two, I’m not convinced he knew. He understands that that’s live and America’s watching them live at that point. I really don’t think he gets that based on something that I read. From a report from the live feeds. I can’t, I should have taken a screenshot of it, but, sorry, I forgot.
But just know that Riley is very confused about how this game works, which I’m just gonna say I’m not surprised in the least bit. And I think one of the biggest things that, the complaints that people are having about, my gosh, this edit isn’t showing. What’s really going on? I think one of the biggest things people have an issue with is the Riley Catherine relationship because everybody that’s watching the live feeds thinks he’s crossing boundaries and thinks it’s absolutely creepy.
Yet you watch CBS and they’re making you think it’s a love story. Not only that, they’re playing all this soft, you know, birds chirping music behind them every time they show them on screen, and nobody in the world thinks that it’s going down the way CBS is presenting it. I don’t get these people it’s, it’s their show.
They can do what they want, but a lot of people are upset at the CBS version versus what’s really happening on the live feeds. Anyway, thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it.
