Bachelor in Paradise Finale last night played out exactly how I told you it would in the spoilers. We can sit here and debate semantics of was that really a love or money choice? It really wasn’t because if you’re choosing love over money, that means that you have to choose one or the other. Now, what I said about why it wasn’t a love what I was telling you for months, ever since I gave you the spoilers, was I heard it’s not a love or money choice.
Now, technically the show made it seem like it was, but what was to stop Spencer and Jess, or even Alex and Andrew from going down there and taking the money and then just after the show, the second they got off the show, just like, Hey, Andrew. Don’t worry, this wasn’t anything against you. It was just a way for me to get money and still date you post-show.
Like there’s nothing they could have done to prevent that. So they tried to make it as dramatic as they could, but how dramatic can you actually make that when there’s nothing that’s stopping these people from taking the money and then dating post-show, you can’t. Same thing with Spencer and Jess. Jess could have walked down there and took the money and four seconds after she landed back in the states.
Said Spencer, I just took the money for both of us. I wanna continue to see you. You know? So, no, that to me, that was not a for love or money choice. And it made sense when they chose love to be like, okay, but we’re also going to gift you a chance at more money. Spencer and Jess got 190,000. Andrew and Alex got 125,000.
That is just a weird, weird number to choose three envelopes, I’m assuming. Well, now we know. At least, I think one envelope had 1 25. One envelope had one 90, and one envelope had two 50 for each of them, right? Why one 90? What a random number to choose. Why won’t you just make it two? Why don’t you just go one fifty, two hundred and two fifty?
What was, who decided on? Yeah, let’s do 1 25, 1 90, and I’m assuming the other envelope was two 50. Just a random number. Someone explained that to me because I didn’t understand why they chose those values. Really makes no sense. As for the Sean and Cat stuff, I don’t wanna say it ended up being a giant bust, but honestly I thought it was gonna be worse than that.
Sean clearly came in with an agenda. You know, I don’t know how many days he technically was there having to wait before he came back, but something tells me he was egged on to do that. Still, he could have said no, and that really put Kat in a bad position. And he said, and him, and the thing about it is why he was so smug about it.
That’s what I don’t understand. But again. I’m not gonna sit here and dissect what we saw last night because all that matters is what happens on that reunion show. And Cat and Dale recorded with the vial files yesterday. So we’re gonna hear what they say on that and we’re gonna hear what they say on the reunion show because what was interesting of what said was, and I have the receipts to show it, I why, why weren’t the receipts shown?
This is what I mean. Like as upset as Kat got, which he had every reason to ’cause he embarrassed her in front of everybody and that that’s what wasn’t cool about it. He could have pulled her to the side and said, is this true? He went in saying, I know it’s true. Well, I guarantee you, Kat, on vial files and on the reunion show that’s taping today, I guarantee Kat’s not gonna say Yep.
Was texting him onto my iPad, was telling him I wanted to be with him, was writing messages on my arm. Like, she is going to combat that. There’s no way she’s not going to. And if she doesn’t, then that makes her guilty. Or at least it, it would give people the idea that she is, because wouldn’t you combat exactly what this person accused you of?
And Sean didn’t even get into the stuff that Alicia did on the AL files. So we’ll see what happens. But I didn’t think that was really great of Sean to do it the way he did. And Alicia chiming in, like she knew everything. And she didn’t have to act that way. And I think Sean probably, if he thought this over and thought this through, maybe he shouldn’t have come at her the way that he did because it’s not like everybody there except I think maybe Brian and Is Brian the greatest judge of character?
I think pretty much everybody there wasn’t thrilled that Shawn did this. Did anybody jump to Shawn’s defense? And it’s like, yeah, get her. Everyone seemed to side with Kat in this. It didn’t seem like people were happy with what Sean did and how he did it, but again, we’ll get our answers, I would think on the reunion show that’s filming today.
And when Kat and Dale’s interview with Nick comes out on the vial files, not the vial files, the vial files. As for the reunion tonight. As we know it records today, it’ll release on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in audio only. They’re gonna split it up into two parts. Part One comes out tonight at 11:00 PM Pacific, which is midnight Mountain Time, 1:00 AM Central Time, 2:00 AM Eastern Time.
Now, assuming I record with Deanna today, I’m not gonna get around to talking about these next two parts probably until Monday. Because I have to listen to them. Good. The good thing is the one that comes out at 2:00 AM my flight is at, I think eight o’clock tomorrow morning. So I will knock that thing out on my flight, part one, at least, part two.
I’m gonna have to listen to at some point this weekend or at some point on Thursday morning into Friday morning, whatever the case may be. But I will say this. That won’t be because if I record with Deanna today, you know that she’s going to be episode 4 59. That moves the Rachel Juarez interview to Friday on the da d.
That’ll be the daily roundup. On Friday is my interview with Rachel, so I will get around to covering the Bachelor in Paradise Unplugged reunion on Monday’s podcast, Monday’s daily Roundup, which I’ll record. Sunday night out of town. So I, I just, I really need to hear what these people have to say. It was just Sean had some really heavy accusations there, and it was just word of mouth.
I talked to your boyfriend or the guy that she, he was claiming was her boyfriend, and he told me these things. Okay. Can we get. Some details of that conversation and is there proof? He did say I have receipts, but then we never saw the receipts and he said she had an iPad in her bag and she was texting him love messages at in the hotel room.
Okay, well where are those love messages? What did she send? What did she say? So that that’s all the stuff that needs to get covered, whether it’s on BIP Unplugged or Cat and Dale doing their interview with Nick. One of those places. If not both I would assume is going to have our answers. So we will be listening for those on Wednesday or later on tonight.
And then tomorrow, late night, early morning Friday. One final thing I wanna cover about the Bathroom Paradise finale. Can you still run this back next year? Because now everybody going into the show knows exactly what’s coming at the end of the show, right?
I mean, I guess they did the same thing for Bachelor Pad three years in a row. You get to the final couple and it’s a keep share thing. Nick Peterson was the one that decided to do the Keep while Richard Thart said Share, and Nick got all the money. But now that the contestants know what Bathroom Paradise has become.
It seems like way more of them are gonna team up, team up pre-show and just say, Hey, let’s get to the end and let’s take the money and date afterwards. Like, can you really run Bachelor in Paradise back with the exact same format that you did this year? There’s no surprises. Everybody that gets eliminated with like eight to 10 couples left, knows they’re coming back to vote out couples.
I don’t know, I, I don’t know how you run back this same exact format. You gotta somehow change it up because if you change it up. And you don’t tell anybody what the changeup is, then everybody going into next season will plan for one way and then you surprise them with something different. I think 1000% you gotta change up the end of the show next year in whatever way possible.
I haven’t even thought of any sort of solutions or how they should change it up, but they certainly shouldn’t just run it back and do this exact same format because these people will go in with a plan and try and game the system and we don’t wanna see that. Spencer and Jess, Alex and Andrew, they didn’t try and game the system.
I mean, they didn’t know what was coming until it was told to them. But you cannot do the exact same thing next year, can you? I don’t think you can. And finally, coming tonight, big Brother, big Brother has the power of Vito C Vito C. Why do I always screw this up? For power of Veto the nomination ceremony.
No, when they pick names, what’s that called? The veto ceremony. They pick the names. I already forgot who the other two that are. Then the veto competition and then the power of veto ceremony. We know that Morgan wins tonight, and then Morgan takes herself off the block and Keanu replaces her with Ashley.
Now, I was not on the live feeds and reading the recaps much yesterday, but from everything that I understand. If Vince wins and Ashley and Morgan or Ashley and Mickey are the two on the block on Thursday, seemingly Ashley’s staying, well, as long as the judge’s Alliance stays together, whoever is on the block needs four votes.
Well, if Vince wins BB Blockbuster and it’s Ashley versus Mickey, then you have four people from the Judge’s Alliance that if they stick to that alliance. Ashley stays over Mickey. If Ashley wins BB Blockbuster and it’s Mickey versus Vinny, Vinny should have four votes from the judge’s alliance to stay where the Judge’s alliance will get in trouble.
And this is why Rachel was pitching Keanu to put up Lauren or Ava because she didn’t want Ashley on the block in case. Mickey won BB Blockbuster, then they’re losing one of their judges’ Alliance. Ashley or Vinny is going home, and if that’s the case, I’m pretty sure Ashley is staying and Vinny is going home.
So it’ll be an interesting competition. That’s what we’re all waiting for tomorrow night. Who’s gonna win that BB blockbuster? It looks like the judge’s alliance is safe. Unless something has changed in the last 24 hours or changes in the next 24 hours, unless Mickey wins BB Blockbuster. Which Mickey has just as good a chance because these BB blockbusters really, since they’re done on live tv, they can’t do something that takes a while.
They either literally set a timer for two minutes, like the one that Riley lost on, and they even, they only lasted a minute in that thing. They can’t do some sort of competition where it’s endurance or someone has to outlast somebody ’cause it’s live tv. It has to be a competition where the puzzle. Is fairly easy to where it gets done in no more than two or three minutes, or they set a timer at two minutes and you have to get done in that time, whatever the case may be.
So that’s why BB blockbusters, I don’t know, what do really people think about these? It almost seems like comp beasts are being saved by BB Blockbuster and making it further than they probably should, because if there was no BB blockbuster. I’m pretty sure Keanu would’ve been out a while ago and he wouldn’t have made jury.
But if you are planning out the rest of the season, I’m not talking about eviction by eviction. Storyline wise. Narrative wise, Rachel and Keanu sitting against each other in the final two is probably the ultimate drama. I can’t think of any other final two that would bring the drama of a Rachel Keanu final two, considering how toxic their relationship has been all season long.
Right. It has to be like, that’s the final two that I’m rooting for is Rachel versus Keanu, and we could very well get there. We could very well see it. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
