I told you. I was getting sick over the weekend. Sore throat always turns into a runny nose for me. I spent yesterday blowing my nose all day long, and you can hear the congestion in my voice, I’m sure.
So what are we gonna talk about? Okay, let’s start with the topics. Are we having a bachelor slash bachelorette announcement on call her daddy this week? I don’t know what’s that? We I’m gonna have a little bit more thoughts on bachelor in Paradise Unplugged. Also I have a I wanna pat myself on the back for being able to keep a secret and then we gotta have a little more Big Brother talk because we’re getting Big Brother three days in a row now Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Sorry. Monday nights are poker nights and I just got eliminated. So I decided to start recording my podcast with the guys, but they were still on the Zoom and I didn’t know how to mute it, so if you heard anything in the background there, that was them on the Zoom so I know how to mute it. Anyway, let’s get started.
So, a lot of you sent this to me last night, and I know you want answers. And the fact of the matter is, I don’t have any answers. Obviously that was new to me. And what it was was Alex Cooper, who is a loyal, dedicated listener to reality, Steve and his spoilers decided to post a video last night where she was cutting a cake and it said 30th season, and the icing on the cake was blue.
But then when she. Cut the cake. The cake inside was pink and the caption said, change of plans. So immediately this got everybody thinking, is this a bachelor announcement? Because the Bachelor is going to be starting season 30, the next season of the Bachelor is season 30. So immediately people thought, wait a second.
It’s a change up 30th season. But it’s the Bachelorette. That’s why she wrote Change of Plans. Look, I don’t know what to tell you, but the answer is I don’t have any answers. I have no idea what this is. It could be bachelor related, like what else is in its 30th season. But the Bachelor franchise did get renewed back in June, couple months ago.
The Bachelor got renewed for 2026, so to all of a sudden, change to Bachelorette seems a little weird. I guess anything is possible, but everything that I have heard recently was men, brand new men were being contacted to be the bachelor lead, and women were being contacted to be on the show. So to all of a sudden do an about face and then say, oh, by the way, we’re just gonna do a bachelorette season when they haven’t really been casting for men.
Again, I don’t know. I don’t know every single detail about their casting department and what they’re going through right now, but it seems to me that. If, and that’s a big if, if this is bachelor related, it would still be about the Bachelor. And maybe because this show is trying new things, maybe they do make the announcement on call her Daddy.
I tell you what, announcing Grant Ellis as your bachelor on Instagram, the Bachelor Nation Instagram account right after the episode that he got eliminated on gen season and never bringing him on GMA. I tell you, announcing your next Bachelor season on, on who Your Bachelor is on call. Her Daddy’s podcast is a hell of a lot more headline worthy than the way they did it with Grant, so I wouldn’t fault them for it.
She has had people on her show that are from Bachelor Nation. She has had Colton on, I believe she had Maria on when Jen was off filming. She had Jen on when Jen got back from filming, so it’s not farfetched to think that somehow Alex Cooper and they call her daddy podcast would be involved in the announcement of the Bachelor.
However, it is kind of weird because Alex Cooper has her own dating show that she is launching that is, I believe, already filmed and it’s gonna air on Hulu. Isn’t it called like Love at sea, where it’s gonna be done on a ship? I believe this thing is already filmed and she is the creator of it. So why would she be going out of her way to promote another dating show?
Granted, it’s all within the A, B, C, Hulu family, so maybe that could be it. There’s just a lot of ifs here and I guess we won’t know until tomorrow’s podcast ’cause I believe call her Daddy comes out on Wednesdays. We’ll know tomorrow. I know everyone wants to have answers two seconds after something breaks, but sometimes you just gotta wait and it’s not like you’re gonna have to wait very long to do this.
You can find out tomorrow. What the hell is Alex Cooper talking about? The cake? Literally said 30th season. Unless you can think of any other show that’s coming in their 30th season it seems like this is bachelor related. But again, I have no idea. This is the first I had heard of it, and the only thing I had heard about the Bachelor is that they were talking and had some quote unquote finalists who were going to be our bachelor to change it up and say, oh yeah, screw that.
We’re going to a bachelorette season in January. The Bachelor is their franchise staple. That is their one that they kick off every January they have for the last 15 years. I don’t know why. You would change that up and make it the bachelorette. I understand some people might say, because there was no bachelorette last season, I guess.
I guess that would be a possibility, but I haven’t heard anything about people being talked to about being the next bachelorette and they have a group of men ready to go as the contestants. Granted, we’re still about three weeks away, four weeks away from filming beginning, but you would think this would’ve all been in the process.
I know they’re always recruiting people and I know they’re always interviewing people 365 days a year. But everything that I had heard recently was they had named a few men as the finalists for the next bachelor gig. And then to just say, oh yeah, we’re gonna wait on this. I don’t know, but your guess is as good as mine.
You just never know. With this franchise, they have done weird things, and I think the reason why we have to keep an open mind to this is because of how the franchise has changed. Completely new leadership. Scott Teddy, who did Bachelor in Paradise, is doing the next season of The Bachelor, and we know it looks like if it is the next bachelor season, more than likely they are going with a brand new person.
They’re not pulling from the past, they’re not going for alumni from everything that I’ve been being told. So I think this is a case of. Everything’s on the table when it comes to the, the way, I mean, I’m wondering if the New Bachelor is gonna be shot in the same camera work that was used on Bachelor in Paradise.
I would think it is. You know, why wouldn’t it be? Why would you shoot Bachelor in Paradise that way, but not The Bachelor? So I’m guessing the Bachelor’s gonna be shot the same way. It is gonna be shot at the Mansion, at least the beginning of the season, just like they usually do three or four episodes in Los Angeles.
Hm, and at the mansion, and then they start travel. But remember I told you whatever seasons is starting to film isn’t gonna film until the first week of October, so that is on the table. Meaning unless they keep them through Thanksgiving, which I highly doubt they will, this is gonna be a much shorter filming schedule, which means I would assume less episodes as well.
Kind of like grant season. ’cause grant only had what, eight episodes? Which is usually three less than a normal season. So everything is on the table when it comes to these people. That’s for sure. For me in the mornings, got a lot of work to get to, making sure the podcasts are posted, getting them out on my socials, checking the news, responding to emails.
