So one other point I wanted to make on the Bachelor in Paradise Unplugged reunion. Like I said, I only listened to the audio. Because I was outta town, I didn’t have time to listen to the video.
I barely got in listening to the audio. The good thing was on the flight there, I was able to listen to part one, and then part two, I just listened to very early in the morning on Friday. But I did not go around to watching the video. But I pretty much. Could, yeah, there were times where I didn’t know who was talking to who, but what was being said was more important than who was saying it because I could pretty much make it out.
And then having followed stuff over the weekend on social media, I was pretty much aware of, okay, I see what’s going on here, and it looks like everyone just wants to bury this season and just move on. And that’s fine. Like I don’t wanna sit here and harp on it. But the one thing I wanted to talk about, and one thing I wanted to say is yes, I understand in a 25 minute podcast for the Daily Roundup, you do get a lot of ads.
I have two breaks in my podcast where there’s usually three ads per break. But man, bachelor in Paradise Unplugged, holy shit. Ads I, I mean, complain all you want about my podcast with the ads. That was the first time I had really listened to a, an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. From beginning to end, I lost track of how many ads they ran.
16, 12, I, it was so many, so now I don’t feel as bad for running only six ads in a 25 minute episode, and some are 30 seconds. Most are 60, but some are 30. And I have no control over which sixties run and which thirties run. So just know that I understand. But you also have to understand time is money, and this is my income.
The only way to make money is to run ads on my podcast. If I did this for free, I wouldn’t have an income because I don’t really make much off of my website anymore because nobody reads. So it’s all done off podcasts and YouTube. So I understand it could be frustrating, but just bear with me. I do, I think, put ads out there that I think people would be interested in.
I don’t just code to anybody who says, Hey, anybody comes to me with like, ah, we wanna advertise on reality, Steven. I’m like, yeah, sign me up. It’s gotta be something that fits my brand, which is basically women 25 to 54. So those are all ads that I’m looking to do, and. I’ve definitely been approached by ads for men products, and I’m like, I just don’t see how I’m gonna deliver for this for you.
You know, my audience is literally 95% women, so you want to tap into the 5% male audience, you’re just not gonna get a return on your dollar, so there’s no point to do it. Now, for you that are listening, that have boyfriends or husbands. Could you get it for them? Yeah. But it’s just a tougher sell to say like, yeah, I’ll reach out to the women audience that I have and tell them to get this for their significant others.
That’s tough. It’s a tough sell to the advertiser who wants a male dominated audience. I’m not one who has to sit here a lot of the time and pat myself on the back. On occasion I will, but I want to. This time, and it has nothing to do with anything bachelor related or spoiler related. Well, kind of spoiler related, but remember when I had poverty on this summer to promote her book and talk about her career in reality television.
She had just, I think the finale for Dealer Node Island had just aired. And we talked that we talked to traitors, we talked Survivor. Well, she had already filmed and we talked a little bit about Survivor Australia, which she was just on, and I just want you to know the whole time I was interviewing her, I knew that she had won Survivor Australia.
I was told that she had won and did not allude to it in the interview. Never talked about it. Since then, I never even watched the season. I don’t even know how in America. You can watch it. I know there are ways to watch it, but I’ve never watched one season of Survivor Australia, so I didn’t this time around.
But yeah, I knew that poverty won and I knew that that was part of her kind of, I don’t wanna say retiring from Survivor, but she probably is. But I think she’s pretty much done with reality tv. Like certainly in the survivor world, there’s nothing left for her to do. She’s won it twice. She’s only one of three people to ever win it twice.
Apparently, from everything that I’ve been reading, she absolutely controlled this season of Survivor Australia and was, if I read correctly, she never had one vote against her. I mean, this is a former winner who’s known in the reality TV world and nobody ever voted against her. That’s some serious, serious dominance.
Kind of like what we’re dealing with Rachel Re, or we’re dealing with Rachel Re on Big Brother, how she never got put up on the block, even though. She was the only returning player on this season’s cast. But yeah, I just felt, I tell you that now that I was told poverty won back in June, July, and obviously I, I couldn’t say anything.
I think I might have said something at the end of the interview. I don’t even think poverty knows that I knew at the time I was talking to her, that I had known she had won. I don’t think she knew. So I said something about, Hey, and everyone else can watch you know, see how you do on survivor Australia this summer.
People can look forward to that. You know, I just, that was about the only thing I said that didn’t obviously give anything away. But see, I can keep a secret. It’s not all about spoiling everything, just for the sake of spoiling everything I’ve told you numerous times. The only things that I care to spoil in my life are the Bachelor franchise.
I don’t read books. I don’t read the end of books first. I don’t want to know the ending of a movie before I go see it. That’s just the way I’ve always been. It’s only the Bachelor franchise. It’s the only thing in my life that I want to have spoiled, and I’ve given you the reason why, because it ultimately is going to lead to a failed engagement for the most part.
So I don’t think it’s a big deal to know the ending of the Bachelor or the Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise or a Golden Bachelor. And speaking of Golden Bater, I don’t have any spoilers for that right now. I’m sure by the end of the season I’ll get it when I have no idea. I could get it this morning.
I could get it in two weeks. For Gary and Theresa, I didn’t get it until about two weeks before the finale, but for Joan’s season, I had it out there before the first episode aired. So stay tuned when I know what happens on Mel’s season of the Golden Bachelor, I will let you know. As for Big Brother, a very big week in the Big Brother House as we have episodes three days in a row.
Now, tonight is a one hour episode. We’re gonna find out everything that happened with Rachel Riley, even though if you follow the live feed. She was eliminated in a competition, which again, nobody has answered my question, so I will ask it again and open it up to anybody who’s a Big brother fan. Has anybody ever in this show’s history been eliminated like Rachel had, where there was no vote and no eviction, she just lost a competition and that made her get eliminated from the show?
I wanna say no, but there’s been 26 previous seasons of the show. Maybe it’s happened. One other time or two other times, but I know that there are people still out there that are thinking Rachel has not been eliminated, and this is just a way to keep her off and then she’s gonna be able to come back and try and win her way back on.
The only reason why I think that might not be the case is because her husband has already done an interview and Sharon Tharp tweeted out yesterday that to send in your questions for Rachel Riley, she’ll be able to interview her tomorrow. So. Unless that’s all a ruse. Which it very well possibly could be.
It could be CBS saying, oh yeah. Get your questions in for Rachel Re, she’ll be taking media questions tomorrow after the episode airs. Okay. We’ll see. We just do not know. It’s leaning more towards, yes. This is a final thing. She is not in, everyone in the house is talking like she is gone for good. But it just seems so bizarre that on one of their most popular seasons to this point, especially on the live feeds, that they would eliminate the most popular contestant, or at least the most polarizing contestant this season, and doing it in a fashion that they’ve normally never done it in, in Big Brother history, which is, oh, she lost a competition.
She’s eliminated what? That doesn’t make any sense to me whatsoever, and I understand why the Big Brother alumni are absolutely livid and pissed off about this. We will know more tonight. We’re gonna find out what the White Locust Hotel was and all that stuff, and we’re gonna find out, we’re gonna see how it played out.
It was some sort of safety thing where you could save people and Rachel didn’t get saved and she was eliminated, but that just seems weird considering pretty much what every other person who’s ever been evicted from the show was voted out. Why would they do this to Rachel Riley when she’s brought them TV gold this season and was heading for a absolutely Buffo finale if she could get to the final two with Keanu considering their up and down relationship all season.
So we’re gonna find that out tomorrow. And then we’re gonna see on Wednesday the power of veto competition. But we haven’t even seen, well, we haven’t even seen head of household. That was Lauren. Lauren won Head of household, in case you don’t know. Sorry, spoiler. Lauren won it and she put up Will Ashley and Morgan.
Right? And then Morgan won Power Veto and Lauren put Keanu up as a renno. And remember few days ago, or when Rachel was there, one of the last things she said to Keanu is, why would you think that Lauren wouldn’t put you up? And Keanu’s like, why would I? Why would I think that for a second? I have a good relationship with Lauren.
And then Keanu was caught on the live feeds yesterday saying, you know what? Rachel was right, because Lauren put Keanu up as a renno. So it’s Will Keanu, and I believe Ashley, right? ’cause it’s not Vince. It’s not Ava. It’s not Rachel, obviously. And it’s not Lauren. So yeah, Ashley Will and Keanu will be battling it out in the BB Blockbuster, but three straight days.
A big brother tonight for an hour. Tomorrow night, your regular Wednesday 90 minute episode, and then Thursday with a live eviction. Should be very, very interesting. I would love to hear what Rachel is going to say in her ex exit interviews. Although those exit interviews with Rachel, considering she’s part of the jury, are not gonna be allowed to talk about any, any questions are gonna be strictly game related.
She’s not allowed to find out any outside information about any of the contestants. They’re all pre-approved by CBS. So Sharon and Mike Bloom. And Rob has a podcast all have to send their questions in, and CBS approves them and Rachel answers them. So it’s not gonna be where she’s gonna be able to give information, be given information about anything about these contestants because, or, you know, what Ava is saying about her in the house, what Laura’s saying about her in the house, what Lauren, what Kelly has been saying about her in the house.
Because that would influence her decision as a juror. It’s just gonna be basic game questions. So unless there’s a ruse happening, and this is the swerve of the century, like Seth Rollins at WrestleMania and Seth Rollins at Summer Slam. It looks like Rachel’s gone. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it.
Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now, so go check that out. Again, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it, and I will talk to you tomorrow. See.
