So in getting to talk about the men, whoever these men are that are gonna be on Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette,
I briefly mentioned it yesterday, but I wanted to focus on it a little bit more today in regards to, it’s one thing to know you’re signing up to be on Jason Mesnick season, and it’s one thing to know you’re signing up to be on Emily Maynards season. The only two leads we’ve ever had who had children.
But when you were watching those seasons, if you were, I mean, those were a while ago. I get it. A lot of the fans now are newer, but I know I watched those seasons and when I was watching them, at no point did I ever really think any of the women or any of the men were just, well, maybe except for Kaylin.
On Emily’s season, but I didn’t look at overall the cast going, oh my gosh, this is a total joke. Jason and Emily aren’t taking this seriously. The contestants don’t care. They have no interest in this. No, this, you can say, well, they know about her, so if they sign up, they must be serious. No, it, I don’t think it works that way.
Just because they’re signing up, knowing it’s Taylor, Frankie Paul, knowing she has three children, like, I don’t know how many of these men are going to be interested in literally becoming a stepdad to three children. Do you honestly think that’s something that a lot of men are gonna want to do immediately?
I just don’t see it. But again, that’s not to say that Taylor, Frankie Paul. I couldn’t find that without going on the show because she absolutely could. And I think there are men out there who have no problem doing that. I just don’t think they’re gonna be finding them, signing up on the Bachelorette. I think it’s more about they want to go on and use their time.
Hell remember how I said in the season preview, we already know what we’re gonna see. Men crying, Taylor crying, Taylor storming out men arguing. We obviously are also gonna get a man on this season that’s gonna say like, oh, no interest in being a stepdad. You know, it’s coming. We’re gonna get someone on Taylor’s season that is very similar to Calin on Emily’s season.
Of course they’re gonna cast him. It’s exactly why he’s going to get cast, because that’s what they’re gonna want to do. Put somebody on the show that’s not there for any sort of right reasons. What’s funny is, remember when I was talking last week? And I said, I know of three men that are quote unquote finalists for the bachelor gig.
And all of ’em were not big names at all. And all of ’em had less than 1500 followers. I can tell you right now. One of them was a divorce dad of three, and he was being told he was a finalist for the bachelor gig. And I’m like, when I heard that last week, it didn’t make me think. Oh, they must be doing a bachelorette and tricking him and lying to him.
But it did make me think that is awfully weird and it made me think, there’s no way. This guy’s a finalist for The Bachelor Now, now that I know that Taylor, Frankie Paul is the Bachelorette, once we see the Men of Taylor season, whenever that may be, I’ll tell you which guy it is. If he made the final cast list.
Because I’ll know it right away. Divorced dad of three and I was like, wait, a divorced dad of three is being told he’s the next bachelor I go. That is. That is again, seemingly something that, why would the women immediately want to be involved with someone like that who wants to immediately be a stepmom of three?
There’s not put, you can find women out there, I’m sure, but you have to cast 20 to 25 women on this show, and we know that they don’t cast. Perfect fits for the lead. So I thought that was really interesting. He was one of the men, and now it makes sense. The problem is they were lying to his face and they were telling him, we think you’re a good candidate to be our bachelor.
When they were basically pulling the wool out from under him saying, well, we decided to go DI mean, they probably told him when they announced Taylor. Well, we decided to go in a different, different direction. Hey. If you go on Taylor’s season, maybe you could be the back. Like, I guarantee that’s what they told him now and they did the about face.
And the only other thing I wanna say about Taylor is,
again, I don’t hate her. I don’t know her, and I’m, and I’m asking this honestly. I wanna know someone who’s a fan of her, someone who’s a fan of the Mormon Wives Show, and you’ve watched both seasons and plan on watching season three. My question to you is, and this isn’t rhetorical, my question for you is, I, I honestly want to know the answer.
Why do you cheer for her? Like, I’ll give you my guess as to why you cheer for her, because you’ve seen that she’s made mistakes in the past. You’ve seen that she’s been messy in the past and she has improved herself. Right? She, she’s made some strides in being a better mother and not losing her temper as much.
I’m sure that’s your answer. Like you’ve seen her growth. Right. So my question is. Why haven’t that, why hasn’t that been extended to the men of this franchise who have made mistakes and have shown growth? Or at least tried? I guess that’s what I mean. I mean, maybe ’cause you’ve seen hers play out more, but again, I’m not defending Colton, you know how I feel about that guy.
But when he came out on national Televis. I know he hasn’t publicly talked about it. Probably for legal reasons on everything that went down with Cassie, plus they had a settlement. He’s not allowed to go into detail about everything. I’m guessing that’s what the settlement was for. All I’m saying is we extended the grace to Taylor.
Nobody. Who’s from this franchise that is supporting Taylor? Frankie Paul is the next Bachelorette. Has brought up what and not one interview that I’ve seen. Has anybody or one interview, or one Instagram post, has anybody said, yeah, I wouldn’t have done this. Not with her abusive past. So that’s where I’m confused and that’s all.
I’m just confused. On why that’s not being brought up. Her abusive past is basically glossed over into, she’s messy. It’s gonna make a great drama-filled season. But if it were the other way around, you know what the answer would be? Why the hell is this bachelor? Who threw a bar stool at his wife two years ago, two and a half years ago?
Why is this guy getting the bachelor gig? Haven’t these people learned anything? That’s what your response would be. If it was a bachelor that was announced two days ago and he had the same exact charge and the same exact video footage that we had of Taylor we had of a man who was then given the bachelor gig, two and a half who was then given the bachelor gig two and a half years later, that would be your response.
I’d be stunned if it wouldn’t, because we know how people react and I’m just wondering. Why is, why is she given more of a pass than the men? Because DV is more common in men than it is in women, which of course, I mean statistically, of course it is. I don’t even know what the stats are, but I’m guessing of all DV cases that have been reported in this world, it’s way more men that commit DV on women than women committing on men.
Should that be the reason why you support Taylor over anybody else who’s had charges against them? I’m just, I just don’t understand it. I’m just, I’m, I’m just stunned. I’m stunned by the response, especially in Bachelor Nation. Bachelor Nation alums who were so quick to absolutely call out the franchise for the shitty behavior of men that they cast on this show.
When a woman had the shitty behavior and get the bachelorette lead gig and go the influencer route, it’s swept under the rug as, oh, she’s so messy. Oh, she speaks her mind. She’s so authentic. We’re gonna get She does. She has no filter. Again, apply that to a man and you would be screaming from the rooftops while he’s being rewarded with a bachelor gig.
Now I wanna end with this big brother. Last night, will gets evicted by a vote of three to two. Sounded like he knew he was coming and he knew it was coming once he was down on the block against Ashley, because Morgan and Vince apparently went to him beforehand. He said that in his conversation with Julie, that Morgan and Vince went to him and he didn’t say what they said to him, but he said, Morgan and Vince talked to me.
I knew what was up. I don’t, I don’t fault them. They knew if I was sitting there at the end against the two of them, I was taken home. The seven 50, I don’t necessarily know about that. Maybe Will is just a little too overconfident. He’s certainly likable. You saw all the emotion last night on the aviation episode.
Everybody in that house was crying. Ava couldn’t even keep it together like I get it. Good dude, but again, only going back to season 21. Has there ever been somebody who won a season who won absolutely nothing in terms of comps? And not to mention these last two seasons where you have more chances to win comps because there is a BB blockbuster slash BB arena every episode or every eviction night.
You know what if will continued through this game, let’s say Ashley was eliminated last night and Will was the one that continued on. Okay. And Will just kept going and people kept taking him to Final Two or people kept ke keeping him around ’cause they thought they could beat him at Final Two and Will was gonna use that against him in his final argument.
Would he have won if Will was against Keanu in the final two? I think Keanu gets every vote, maybe except Ava’s.
I, I, I, I don’t think will beats anybody. In the final two. Maybe that’s just me misreading him at all. I just don’t see it because he didn’t really do anything strategic during the game. He certainly wasn’t good at any sort of comps. He’s never won HOH. He’s never won power of veto. He’s never won a BB blockbuster.
And I understand this game isn’t all about comps. You had comp beasts that have won the game and comp beasts that have never won the game, but I gotta believe everybody that’s won has won at least one during a season, right? Won at least one HOH or one Power veto during the season has to be. So, I don’t know about Will’s take that.
He would’ve been sitting there. If he was sitting there at final two, he would’ve won. That’s why they got rid of him. Not sure about that. Now with the remaining cast, who do we want to win? Who do we think has a chance to win? Who’s playing the best game? Obviously everyone has their own opinions. Everyone has their favorite.
So if I say, oh, this person has no chance to, I think there are two people that really don’t have a chance to win. In my eyes, I don’t think Kelly does, and I don’t think Ava does. I really don’t. You could make a little bit of a case for Kelly that she did well early in comps, but I don’t see anything that she’s done strategy wise.
Not to mention I don’t think she’s the most liked person in the house. She’s not hated. I just think she’s there. And I know a lot of people think she’s weird. They’ve commented about that. Same with Ava, so that leaves us with Ashley. Morgan, Vince, Keanu, and Lauren. If you were to ask me between those five who I want to win at this point, I’d like to see Keanu win.
I don’t, I know that he has pissed some women off in the house, and I don’t know if he would have the votes. I think though, with Rachel being first in jury and Rachel. While she was frenemies with him, she does say, did say to Julie last night, she respected his game, his game, but not his game play. I don’t know, maybe Keanu, I, I, I, I have a hard time reading these people.
Like if I were to third throw a third person in there to, that I don’t think could win. I’d, I’d maybe say Lauren, just because while she has won. A few comps. She’s got a couple hohs under her belt. She’s just like the most indecisive person in the world. It seems like other people controlled her hohs. I don’t know if people see her at, like seeing her walk out under the confetti and being the $750,000 winner.
It just seems not right. I don’t feel like she’s played a good enough game, you know?
So that leaves Keanu, Vince, Ashley, and Morgan. Hmm. I, I I don’t think Vince is gonna win ’cause I don’t think enough people, you heard what Will said, called him crazy. You know, I, I just, I can’t see Vince winning Morgan. Ashley Kea. If you were to ask me right now, I would say those are the only three that have a chance to win, but maybe I am way off.
I need to think about this more. And I think a lot will also depend on these last whatever how many days they have left. Like I think it ends on the 28th, so we got about two and a half weeks left, so we still got time left. People can still build a case, build a resume, but I feel pretty certain.
Unless Kelly and Ava are sitting next to each other as the final two, neither one of them has a chance to win, and I’d put Lauren a close third just because I don’t think she’s strategic enough, but she’s likable in the house. I know people like her. Her and she has won at least a couple things that she can point to.
I just, I feel people think that they can run over her and convince her of anything, and that’s not something they want in their big brother winner, but we’ll see. Anyway, thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download.
