Just a lot of things television related. Um, what I’m doing this week on a podcast that you can tune into what’s upcoming in television, starting in next week.
I don’t know how I’m going to do this, but I feel like I say this every September. Because that’s when the fall season starts. But there’s some new shows now that I’m gonna watch that haven’t been a part of my schedule watching in the past. Also, gonna talk about the challenge. I’m pretty much caught up on that.
And then two things that came down yesterday that are back to the future related and Taylor Swift related and. We’re gonna talk about all of that today. So let’s get started. So this Thursday I’m going to be on a podcast that I’ve never been on before. Podcast is called Togetherness with Jeff and Jordan from Big Brother.
They go live after every eviction episode, but they are in the mountain time zone. So. I believe I will be going live with them 1115 to 1145 Eastern time on Thursday night. I’ve never been on their pod before, but looking forward to it. And admittedly, I, I know who Jeff and Jordan are just because of their names.
I know they were on. Shoot, maybe I got it wrong with season 11. It’s either, I think it was either Season 11, I think they were on season 11. Then they came back for 13. She won the season. They were on together and then they came back two seasons later. They were also on Amazing Race, and I’m gonna be on their podcast Thursday night to talk about the show and the eviction, which is getting very, very interesting.
Because obviously we’re gonna talk some Big brother right now, but just wanna let you know, I’ll be on the Togetherness podcast live when they go live on Thursday night, which will be 11:15 PM Eastern Time. And so yesterday the big debate was I I, and yes, thank you to everyone who reached out to me. If I don’t have my notes in front of me and I’m doing it off memory, sometimes I get.
All twisted. I kept saying that Morgan was on the block and she was gonna take herself off. No, she wasn’t on the block. She was just power of veto. She won the power of veto, and the question was, is she going to use it? And if she does, is she gonna force Vince’s hand? Well, she did and she took Ava off the block and Vince replaced Ava with Lauren.
However, based on everything I read yesterday, and trust me, things can change before Thursday. Now the plan is. They’re getting Kelly out and Morgan and Ashley have basically told Vince, we won’t go after Lauren. If so, Keanu, Kelly and Lauren are on the block heading into Thursday’s, BB Blockbuster. If Keanu wins and it’s between Lauren and Kelly, as of right now, Kelly’s going home.
If Kelly wins and it’s between Lauren and Keanu, I believe Keanu’s going home. And if. Lo, what did I already say? I already forget. Kelly and Keanu, if Lauren wins Blockbuster and it’s between Kelly and Keanu, pretty sure Kelly’s going home. If Kelly wins Blockbuster and it’s between Lauren and Keanu.
Keanu’s going home. Then if Keanu wins it, it’s between Lauren and Kelly. Kelly’s going home. Basically, if Kelly doesn’t win Blockbuster, as of right now, it looks like she’s going home. But obviously things can change. Hell, just the fact that Vince put Lauren up turned into a well. Now he’s clearly pledged his love and his allegiance to Morgan because that’s exactly what Morgan.
Basically talked to him for hours over the weekend about what he should do, and he kept fighting her on it, saying, no, I’m not gonna do it. You told me why. Why would I put her up? And she’s like, it’s the one person that’s left in this house that is coming after your number one. And she’s saying that as herself.
She’s saying, Vince, I’m your number one. She’s gunning for me. You’re not putting her up, so that means you’re protecting her. You want her protected. And he’s like, no, that’s not it. And she’s not coming after you. So that’s where they kept going around in circles. Basically. Morgan started talking to Lauren a lot more yesterday and she told her, look, if you come off, I don’t know where you’re gonna vote, but no, Kelly has two votes locked and Keanu has one.
Morgan told her, me and Ashley are evicting Kelly. It makes sense for her game. Laurens to evict Keanu. And if Keanu and Kelly end up in a tie, well, Vince’s job is to break the tie and Vince is saying, yeah, I’ll do the tie. I don’t care. I. So obviously things can still happen. Maybe if it is between Kelly and Keanu, he goes after Keanu and blindsides him.
So maybe it isn’t a given that if Kelly stays on the block and doesn’t win Blockbuster, she’s gone. There is a possibility, but I think this is gonna go back and forth all week. And with the Blockbuster, obviously Keanu has been dominant in Blockbusters. If he wins it, Kelly is definitely gone ’cause she’s not staying over.
Lauren. But if Lauren is the one who wins, blockbuster and Kelly and Keanu are up there’s a chance it could be a two two tie and Vince has to break it, and then he might blindside Keanu or people change their votes by then because they’re talked into going a certain way. We’ll see. So I noticed over the weekend when the Golden Bachelor, or when I was watching football, they kept running more commercials.
For the Golden Bachelor, and I told you as of right now, I don’t know anything. I don’t even know where they filmed the Final Rose ceremony. I don’t even know who’s in the final three, so clearly I don’t know who won, but there’s time. It doesn’t start till next Wednesday night, the 24th, and I don’t know how much longer they plan on keeping this Golden franchise going.
I really don’t. I just feel like I understand the initial season of it is gonna get a lot more publicity. I get it. And it’s going to, you know, because it’s the first time they’re doing anything. So yeah, Gary’s season of the Golden Bachelor was a huge deal and it got really good ratings and then they did the Golden Bachelorette with Joan and not nearly as many people cared.
And then they came back and said, we’re gonna have another Golden Bachelor, and here’s our guy. We’re just gonna choose this guy, Mel Owens, former football player. And honestly, I’m not even gonna get into this stuff that he said. ’cause you already know how I feel about that. I don’t believe this guy for a second when he says he’s interested in dating or he’s changed his mind and he’s gonna make an exception now for 60-year-old women and he’s gonna apologize to them on the first night.
And they accepted his apology. Whoever he chose, ’cause he probably clearly chose somebody. I, I just, I don’t buy it. However, I just find it interesting that there isn’t much buzz whatsoever. And maybe it is because of what Mel said. It is possible that people just aren’t talking about this, but I just think there is zero, zero excitement for Mel’s season.
And for me, I don’t even really know if I’m gonna watch it on the night that it airs. It all depends because next week starts a big week of tv, which I’m gonna get to in a second. But I, I just, I think I have other things to watch that I would rather watch first on Wednesday nights. So I, I, I, I have to see how it plays out.
I also gotta see how long it is. If it’s only an hour, I need to look at my, my guide on my DVR. If it’s only an hour, then I probably will watch it first, but I am, or I will watch it Wednesday night. Doesn’t even, I’m gonna watch it live, but I will watch it Wednesday night if it’s only an hour. If it’s 90 minutes, probably not, but I just, have you noticed it?
And again, maybe it is because of what Mel said and people are just turned off by what he said, which they have every right to be. I just feel like there’s barely any excitement, any hype. Most people are just like, meh, about the golden franchise. Who knows? I mean, even if. Every single one of those women outta the limo forgives him in two seconds and they never bring it up all season long and they don’t even joke about it.
I still don’t think this is a very, this is a season that is getting people all fired up for the Golden franchise. Granted, people are gonna wanna see the women. And they’re gonna wanna see their stories. I’m sure there’re gonna be some great stories. I’m sure there’s some widows on this season because that was the compelling part about Gary’s season.
Whether you like Gary or not, it was more about the women and their stories. You had the one woman, I’m already forgetting which one it was, who hadn’t what, been on a date since her husband died and it was, it was tough. Or maybe she hadn’t worn a, a dress since then or something along those lines. And they were just really, really good stories.
They were all likable. These women, I’m sure are all likable other than the fact that they still agreed to go on a show with a bachelor that they knew before they even got there was insulting every single one of ’em for being the over the age of 60. So of course they’re gonna forgive him on the first night.
There’s no way that the show would’ve let any of these women on if they said, I’m gonna give ’em a piece of my mind all season. I don’t like this guy, but I’ll go on it. Like it just didn’t make any sense. Clearly they were gonna tell these women either you need to get over this or don’t bother showing up the first night.
Yeah. I’m sure some people jab at ’em and say a few things like, Hey. I’m 64, should I bring my walker or something like that. Like, I’m sure that happens, but it’s more done in a joking manner because if somebody was really serious about what he said and totally offended, they wouldn’t, they just wouldn’t have gone on the show.
So I, I just, there isn’t much excitement heading in to next week’s premier for Mel’s season of the Golden Bachelor. I don’t see any of it. For me in the mornings, got a lot of work to get to, making sure the podcasts are posted, getting them out on my socials, checking the news, responding to emails. It can get a little hectic sometimes, which in turn makes me forget breakfast on occasion.
