Moving on as of this recording, big Brother is in limbo. I went on the Twitter accounts of the Big Brother pages and not one of them had any sort of update at the time of this recording of what the hell is going on.
Even former podcast guest who was on a couple weeks ago, Sharon Tharp, she tweeted this out yesterday after Sunday night. So let me, let me go back to Sunday and let me read you what Sharon Tharp tweeted out. On Sunday, she says, source tells me there will in fact be an eviction today. I expect feeds to turn back on afterward, though I’m hesitant to say that I know, you know, since that’s always subject to change.
Well, no eviction had happened Sunday. When she said that tweet, so yesterday she tweeted out. I woke up this morning and sent a strongly worded text to my production source who has never given me bad info. In all the years I’ve been doing this, I’m beyond annoyed and very confused. It’s early on the west coast, but what the actual fuck?
Then a couple hours later she tweeted, okay. I’ve had some coffee and calm down. My source stands by. That’s what they were told. I assume the schedule changed again for whatever reason. I know that’s always a possibility, but still very frustrating as a journalist who is trying to report in real time on this silly parking lot show.
That’s a great description of of Big Brother the parking lot show because yeah, the studio’s in a parking lot on the CBS lot, so. Right now we’re, I guess again, it’s very possible we do have an update, but by the time you listen to this or at the time of this recording, like I said, I haven’t seen anything.
So by the time you listen to this, there could be a completely different answer. But when they said, when the Mastermind said on Sunday night that. Julie is going to be the doing the live eviction at the next live eviction. But why can’t I have a little fun? I’m telling you right now, I’m gonna get in on it.
There will be an HOH, there will be a nomination ceremony. There will be a power of veto, and there will be a power of veto ceremony. But I’m going to basically have a unique eviction to me, in my mind and in my eyes. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be something straightforward. Now, Keanu. Who is up for eviction with Ava?
They were put on the block by Vince Morgan has said all over the weekend. She has no plans on using the veto, but we have no idea how this eviction is going to play out. Keanu could still end up going home. I just don’t think it’s gonna be all right. Ashley and Morgan go into the voting booth and tell us who you choose to evict because the Mastermind wouldn’t have said, I’m doing a unique eviction if that’s what they were going to do.
So it will be interesting to find out what exactly happened and who exactly went home. But you know where I stand with everything. I think this is Morgan’s season to lose. I think Ashley is the only person that has the balls to go after her. I don’t know if she will, but she’s talking like Ashley is the only one saying in Confessionals, essentially Morgan is the biggest target and maybe it’s time to go after her.
Vince certainly doesn’t seem like he’s going after Morgan. I don’t think it matters what Ava does, and I don’t think Keanu is going after Morgan. I mean, Keanu was basically telling Vince how to win the game when he basically thought before. I guess the Mastermind said anything Keanu was telling Vince, Vince, the only way you can win this game is if you get rid of Morgan on your HOH, because that’ll be the biggest game move of the season and people will respect it.
But Vince’s head is so far up Morgan’s ass right now and has been for the last, I don’t know, month. He’s not gonna do it. So Keanu’s literally sitting there telling him, essentially, you’ll get my vote if you do it. And Vince doesn’t wanna listen. Maybe Vince is just happy with second place. What does second place get a hundred thousand dollars?
Or is that Survivor? I know the survivor winner gets a million and second place gets a hundred. What is it for second place for Big Brother? Is it a hundred? Is it one 50? Because I know a FP don’t they get 75, so I can’t imagine a FP gets more than second place. I don’t know, but. Keanu’s. Basically telling Vince, this is what you need to do to win.
And Vince isn’t listening. It’s really funny. Now Keanu was saying that out of desperation because he was trying to also convince Vince that to not put him up. ’cause I think, actually, I think now that conversation happened before Vince nominated Keanu and Ava, and he was basically telling him. Putting me up isn’t gonna do anything for your game.
What? Honestly, he’s right. Keanu’s, right? When he says that to Vince, he’s absolutely right. Everybody on that jury thinks Morgan has run every single HOH that Vince has had. Period. End of story. Nobody’s given Vince any credit. Even last week, Vince was in his HOH room basically saying, yeah, I’m not gonna win this thing.
I’m basically playing for second place because my game has been terrible. Now, he might just be saying that as a pity and he might just be saying that, trying to fish for compliments, but I think there’s a part of him deep down that probably believes it. ’cause he hasn’t played a good game. He has been controlled by Morgan and.
This stuff that we talked about yesterday in regards to option one, I’m watching more and more clips of them in bed, and it’s clear as day that Vince has either made up his mind when I get out of here. I don’t wanna be with Kelsey anymore, and I want to try it with Morgan. Morgan doesn’t seem to be against it, but she’s not going to entertain the thought until Vince is a single man, but I don’t think that’ll look good at all.
Even if Kelsey dumps Vince and or Vince dumps Kelsey, whatever the case may be. I think once they get outta there, if Vince and Morgan start dating publicly, I don’t think a lot of people are gonna support it. And I think that will ultimately lead to their downfall because I say this all the time, whether it’s bachelor couples or any couples from any reality dating show, you wanna be liked by a lot of the public.
These people can say all they want as they don’t care about what the outside noise says about them. Trust me, they absolutely care and they want to be liked. And when enough people are basically going to shit on them, because whether you wanna believe it or not, unfortunately, women hate women. And a lot of people will blame Morgan, even though I think this is a majority.
In fact, almost all of this is Vince’s fault. Vince is the one that’s had a girlfriend for seven years in the house. Morgan’s been single. She’s very well aware and she has been respectful in the thing that she has said. I’m sure if you’re Vince’s girlfriend, you kind of look at her like, well, then why did you hug him for 45 seconds to a minute every time you guys hugged, and I’m sure Kelsey isn’t thrilled.
But I’m sure Kelsey is way more upset at Vince and his behavior than anything that Morgan did. But with that said, I still think if these two, Vince and Morgan become a couple post show, they’re gonna get a lot of hate. And that’ll eventually, I just don’t think they’re gonna have a strong enough foundation to where they’re going to ride it out.
And I think Morgan will just absolutely kick him to the curb or just say, I, this isn’t working. I don’t wanna do this. She seems to have way more of a head on her shoulders. Than Vince does. Vince’s head is in his dick right now. Morgan’s isn’t. And finally I wanna talk about this. If you never watched Dawson’s Creek, you probably don’t care whatsoever and that’s fine.
But this was a show, I’ve told the story about this show. I don’t wanna repeat it, but it was a major show in, at the time in my life, I was fresh out of college and six months later this show started. I was living. In a studio apartment off Santa Monica Boulevard in 1997, and this show started in January of 1998.
I saw the billboards every time I was driving home from work Dawson’s Creek, starting January, 1998. I’m like, okay, I’ll check it out. And then it just became a comfort show for me, and I’ve said it numerous times and I’ll say it again. I would put their series finale up against any series finale ever. I think it’s top three of all time.
Now, granted, I haven’t seen every series finale of every show, but if you followed Dawson’s Creek from the very first episode until the end, I just don’t think you can complain about that series finale. It was literally perfect, and a lot of people who are Dawson’s Creek fans agree. Well, at the time of this recording last night.
At the Richard Rogers Theater in New York, they were having a Dawson’s Creek class reunion where everybody from the cast was gonna come back for a night and read the pilot episode in support of James VanDerBeek having colon cancer stage three correct cancer last year. And this has been a huge thing among Dawson’s Creek fans.
Because I believe this is the first time in a, in a, a long time where every single one of them came back for an event. Some, we’ve had some, some reunions, but I don’t think we’ve ever had a reunion with every single one of them there. Unfortunately, late Sunday night, James Vander Beek tweeted out that he put it on his Instagram that he is recovering from an illness.
I don’t think it’s related to the. Colorectal cancer. But he did say he basically got beat down with two viruses and he wasn’t gonna be able to attend this. And man, that sucks because everybody was looking forward to this. And honestly, the first thing that crossed my mind was, why don’t they wait? Why don’t they just postpone this?
I understand everybody that’s going was already set to go, and who knows if you can get everybody’s schedules lined up? Totally understand that. But there was a part of me that immediately said, man, I think they should reschedule this until he can go. This is all about him. Michelle Williams is the one that decided to put this on in support of him, and he’s not even gonna be there.
His wife responded to a message who said to somebody who wrote. I’m a single mom driving up for this event. I wanna see you guys. And James Vanderbeek’s wife said, Hey, come. We’re all still going. All of us kids are going. I’m going. And Lynn Manuel Miranda read for the part of Dawson and he thanked him tremendously on his Instagram account.
James VanDerBeek did of Lin Manuel Miranda. So probably be talking about this on tomorrow’s podcast ’cause I hope some clips got out just to see. But yeah, I almost had the same thought process as this woman who was like, can, can we postpone this? But yet, it probably had to do with getting everybody’s schedules to line up again.
I mean, that’s a lot of people. That’s Joshua Jackson and that’s Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips and Meredith, Monroe and Smith. Everybody coming back for this, even though Meredith Monroe and Kurt Smith didn’t appear until I believe season two, I think they’re part of it. Either way, there is, this was such a big deal in the Dawson’s Creek community and just, I mean, it sucks.
Obviously it has to be really bad for James Vander. Bet not to attend this like this has been in the works for a few months now. And for him to say he just got absolutely destroyed by a couple viruses that have him down and down and out is what he said. He developed two stomach viruses and he said.
You can imagine how gutted I was when two stomach viruses conspired to knock me outta commission and keep me grounded at the worst possible moment. But all of his kids went, oh, he is got six kids. What am I talking about? I thought he had five. He’s got six kids and they’re all, they all went last night.
And we’ll talk about this on tomorrow’s podcast ’cause hopefully I’ll, I’ll see some stuff and I, I’m sure. And look, it doesn’t take away from the event, it’s still gonna be a very, very special event and it’s gonna be really cool. I just think, man, I would’ve been fine if they could somehow some way postpone it and say, we’ll give you a date in the future where we can all.
Do this and get together, but I also do understand it was probably tough to get everybody back. Anyway, thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts also. Rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as Download Sports Daily’s coming up an hour from now.
