Daily Roundup 9/29 – Big Brother’s Finale, Ashley’s Answers & Final Speech, the Format Change That NEEDS to Happen, & My Issue with the Special Forces Premiere, & Love is Blind on Wednesday

Anyway, getting back to the questioning, I, I think they just really missed the boat by not doing it.

Survivor like style on Final Tribal, these questions are so generic and so dumb and I, not that the questions mattered, I don’t think it really mattered because it was pretty set in stone with an Ashley Vince final two. Ashley was going to win and she did rather easily. Now, I will say this for Ashley, she absolutely blew Vince away in terms of the questions that she answered, right?

She was so detailed and so meticulous in all her answers and if you watch the live feeds over the last two days, I didn’t watch the live feeds, but I saw plenty of clips. Ashley has been rehearsing for two days of what she was gonna say to the jury in her final speech and answers to any questions she thought the jury would have, and her answers were 1000 times better than anything.

Vince said she deserved to win. Sitting next to Vince, what will be interesting that I’m gonna look for in the post exit interviews with, I guess some of the jury, or maybe they will when they go on podcasts or whatever, if it would’ve been an Ashley Morgan final, who would they have voted for? ’cause I think that would’ve been way more interesting.

Ashley made the right decision by cutting Morgan. I don’t think she beats Morgan, but again, Ashley’s answers were so good. During the jury questioning, what if Morgan stumbled a lot? I don’t think she would’ve, ’cause she was practicing as well the last two days. But we’re not gonna know the answer to that until we start hearing people on podcasts.

And hopefully I can get Rachel Reilly on within the next couple weeks. I know Jeff and Jordan are coming on this week on the Thursday podcast, but. Hopefully I’ll, I, you know, Rachel, I’m gonna give her time. I don’t need to hit her up tomorrow and be like, Hey, you got your phone back? Can I have you on the podcast?

Like, no. I’ll give Rachel a week or two to settle in and she’ll probably do other podcasts, I’m sure, but I’ll, I’ll let her settle in before I bring her on. But here’s what I wanna say about Ashley. While she did rehearse and memorize a lot of stuff that she wanted to say, and she got it all out clearly, ’cause Julie had to stop her from talking basically on every answer.

It was so weird listening to her because she sounded like she was reading cue cards. Like all season, Ashleigh has talked in a very normal way. You can’t tell me that last night sitting there. You thought that was. Like I loved what she said, but it sounded so robotic and it sounded like all I’ve gotta do, no matter what question I get, I wanna make sure I get this point out, this point out this point out this point out.

This is what I did. HOH, this is what I did. Power veto. This is how I formed alliances. This is how I made friends all this stuff. I don’t even think if you go back and listen to the questions, she might have started off her answer by answering the question. But then it would transition into everything she had memorized in her head, which look, it sounded better than anything Vince did.

It just sounded really weird. It was almost like somebody turned on a switch in her head, and it was just like, all right, spit out all this info, because it didn’t flow very naturally. It sounded so robotic. I don’t know. It was just weird. But while she’s giving those answers, while it did sound weird, it was all accurate, and everything she said made a ton of sense.

And I don’t know if it swayed the jury at all. I don’t know if any of the jury really went in when they saw that Vince and Ashley were the final two and were leaning on, you know what, I’m going to, I’m gonna go with Vince here. Unless Ashley really beats him with these jury, with her answers on the jury.

I, I really thought, okay, wait a second. I, I, I don’t, I don’t know. I don’t think it mattered. I think she was gonna win regardless when she was sitting next to Vince. The key thing now will be to hear what everybody says on podcasts and when they go on Instagram live, which they most certainly will. And if it was a Morgan Ashley final, what would they have?

What would they have done? Because Morgan did say if you’ve been watching on the live feed, she said it to Julie when she got eliminated, but she said it on the live feeds and it looks like she was being serious. If I would’ve won that final HOH, I would’ve eliminated Vince, which now when you look at it, is, I don’t say, wanna say it was a 750 th thousand dollars mistake, but Morgan has Vince’s game clocked all wrong.

Morgan thinking that Vince had a chance against her was just, I don’t know if that was her just trying to be humble or what, but she really didn’t want to take Vince. To the final two. She said it on the live feed. She told Ashley she wasn’t gonna do it. When she got out there after she was evicted, she told Julie, I would’ve eliminated Vince.

I would’ve taken Ashley with me. Vince wasn’t gonna beat her. She would’ve beaten Vince seven. Nothing. You know, because Vince would’ve given, well. I, I, I just don’t see anybody who would’ve voted for Vince. The only person that voted for Vince when he sat next to Ashley was Morgan. Well, Morgan wouldn’t have been there.

Ashley would’ve been there, and I guarantee Ashley would’ve voted for her. So yeah, she would’ve won seven. Nothing over Vince if Ashley wins six one and the only vote that Vince got was for Morgan and Morgan sitting next to Ashley. Yeah. Morgan would’ve won seven Zero. Now maybe she sees that now and realizes, oh, wow.

I did not realize all these people didn’t like Vince and weren’t gonna vote for him. So if it was Morgan versus Ashley, I do think Morgan still would’ve won. But depending on her answers, and if Ashley still did what she did last night as robotic as it sounded, she made a bunch of great points. So I can’t wait to hear.

What people would’ve done. I think Morgan still would’ve won over Ashley, but they both beat Vince. Remember when I, when it was down to final six, I said, Vince right now is fifth place. The only person he can beat is Ava. And I think that proved to be true. Guy got one vote and if he was sitting next to Morgan, he would’ve gotten zero votes.

But man, what a crash out that was by Vince. And now we find out about Kelsey. And what happens with their relationship and I mean, she wasn’t at the finale last night. If you looked on Twitter and you saw people taking pictures of the audience, only his parents were there. So she didn’t leave him. A video wasn’t part of his hometown video, and she didn’t show up to the finale.

I think she’s made her decision. Now doesn’t mean she can’t be talked back into it, but here’s the thing. If I’m Vince and I want to be with Kelsey, which is a big if in my mind, in Vince’s mind, like I don’t think he wants to be with her. I think over these 85 days he has convinced himself he wants to be with Morgan, so he can say what he wants, but if he wanted to be with Kelsey.

He would have to use a lot of his convincing skills and I almost think you have to get Morgan involved. You have to get Morgan on a call or the three of you go and hang out and, but Kelsey might just be over it. Kelsey might just be like, look, Vince, I saw what I needed to see. I heard what I needed to hear.

I don’t wanna hang out with you. I’m done with you. Seven years and you can say that, oh, you were in a bubble. You were just doing it for gameplay. First off, I don’t think it was for gameplay at all. We saw the conversations that they were having. I think Vince absolutely would like to be with Morgan, and the only way he can be with Morgan if he’s not with Kelsey.

Now, does Morgan wanna be with Vince again? Once you’re out of the house and you can sit back and assess everything. I’d be surprised if Morgan wants to be with Vince. I never got the impression she did. Vince was the instigator of all of it, but who knows? Katherine and Riley found each other outside the house they’re now dating.

Good luck to her. He’s your problem now Catherine, and this doesn’t even have anything to do with the kid stuff ’cause he might not have one. He says he is gonna take. A paternity test, but unfortunately, Catherine, I mean, the best way to describe it, she’s young and dumb. Fortunately, she will learn the hard way.

She will learn the hard way, and once she starts to respect herself a little bit more, then I think she’ll realize, oh crap, not the guy for me, and he’s just not. We all saw, well, I don’t wanna say we all saw because if you didn’t watch the live feeds or you didn’t watch the clips from the live feeds about how he spoke to her and how he treated her.

Not to mention this is literally the label he was given before he even showed up in the house. Yeah, he did nothing to dispel it. Congratulations to, as Ashley, our BB 27 winner. I thought it was a real I I enjoyed this season. I really did. Now, let’s see all of them start Hawking Teeth whitening on Instagram and doing cameos.

Oh, one final thing about Big Brother, the whole mastermind thing, and they showed the three men I know who Frankie Grande is. The other two guys, I had no idea who those guys were. ’cause obviously I haven’t watched any season before. Season 21. I knew. I know who Frankie is. I don’t know what season he was on, but it was before 21.

I know that. But the other two guys, again, it just seemed like, oh, we’re the Masterminds. We did this. No production, just put you in a costume and said. Okay, here’s because nothing about what they did, all that hidden stuff. They’re like, oh, this was my season, so I was the hidden one of this and I had this thing attached to my hip.

It’s like, okay, great. But in the end, did it have anything to do with anything in terms of the outcome of the game? Like it would’ve made more sense for this show if any of that stuff played a role in the game. And it didn’t. It was just, Hey, production, I’m gonna reach out to somebody who was on season 11 and we’re gonna bring you back and put you in a costume and okay.

But if like a contestant would’ve been able to guess or noticed it and said, oh, what about, did you see what was on his hip? I bet you that was so and so from season 11. And then they get something from it. Like it, I’m sorry, mastermind completely fell flat to me and it had nothing to do with me not knowing who any of ’em were.

It just falls flat because they didn’t do anything, production didn’t tell them to do. And if nobody on the show can see it, and would’ve no, like if, if Rachel would’ve noticed it or Morgan would’ve noticed something and said, I bet you the Mastermind is this person because of this clue, that would make it way more interesting.

But it was just, oh, okay, now they’re telling us after the season about all this hidden stuff. My biggest response to that is And your point just Okay, great. Thanks. Couple things I wanna wrap up with here. I finally got around to watching special forces from Thursday, and I’m really bothered by what I saw.

I understand that there’s zero chance in hell, like I would obvious, I’m not asking to be on Special Forces. I would never even be looked at to be a contestant on Special Forces. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m also not saying if I did go on Special Forces, not even the show, if I just went on a 10 day bootcamp like they are doing, I would never make it through 10 days.

I’m not about to sit here and say that I would. Not a chance in hell, not in good enough shape to do that, but Brittany Cartwright going on that show and quitting halfway through day one, I honestly think she shouldn’t get paid because it seems like that’s what she did it for. And I understand people do a lot of stuff for Paychex in reality tv.

I understand, but she wasn’t at her breaking point. She wasn’t like, oh my God, I’ve been here three or four days. That’s so much longer than I’ve lasted. I have used all my wits, all my strength, everything I have inside of me, and I’ve used it and I am just depleted. Now I’m done. Then I can understand quitting the girl quit halfway through day one because she had to do one run up a hill because to me.

Someone like Brittany Cartwright. I don’t think I’m breaking any news here. She’s not in shape. She knew she wasn’t in shape. Hell, the only thing Jax has probably ever said, right in the last 10 years, he told her before she left, you’re not gonna do well. And she didn’t. But this is what I had an issue with.

She quit halfway through day one. Not because, oh my gosh, I broke my ankle. Oh my gosh. I sprained my wrist. Oh my gosh. I fell down. Oh my gosh. I had to be taken off in an ambulance. No, she was just breathing heavy because she had to do a run that any run that they would’ve done this season, she would’ve probably had that same reaction to it.

Just, I don’t know why it bothered me so much of how bad she did, and she’s gonna get paid for it, you know. I can’t do anything about. It doesn’t affect my life, but that’s my opinion. She shouldn’t have gotten paid after she quit halfway through day one. There are people that haven’t made it through day one, but it was because there was a major medical emergency or they were medically released from the show because they couldn’t continue due to something that happened to them.

She just quit because it was too tough for her. Halfway through day one. So, so embarrassing. Like we know, we knew what this show is. This is the fourth season of it, right? This is number four. We know exactly what they put these people through. You don’t have to be the strongest Hannah Brown. Look at Hannah Brown.

She is not, you know, when you look at her body frame. You probably thought she wouldn’t make it through a lot of the training in that show, and she made it to the end and ended up quote unquote winning.

Britney Cartwright was in no shape to do that show. There’s running all the time on that show, running uphills, carrying bags, carrying just your backpack, which is 40 or 50 pounds. Like did anybody on that show think for a second that she was going to last? That she would even try to push herself. ’cause that’s the issue I have.

She didn’t even try and push herself.

I hope she didn’t get her money. I’m sure she did, but that’s embarrassing. I think it’s embarrassing for the show to be honest with you. And finally, big day this week, Wednesday. Love is Blind Season nine. I’m assuming the first six episodes are getting released on Netflix on Wednesday. So I will spend all day Wednesday watching that and then I will get back to you and we’re gonna spend Thursday talking about that show.

Like I said, Jeff and Jordan are gonna be this week’s podcast guest. We’re gonna talk about everything we saw on the finale last night, and I really. But when Love is Blind comes out on Wednesday,

six episodes, Mo, I would assume four and a half to five of them are gonna be pods and then we’re gonna get one episode of them wherever they go for their, their honeymoon. And I haven’t read any spoilers. I’m sure they are out there. Hell, that show gives away a lot. In the season preview, all you gotta do is pause it to know who makes it to wedding day.

So, and it’s just a matter of, am I gonna do that? Maybe, but it’s just, it’s so they don’t even try and hide it like anything. That’s not, the thing is anything that’s not in a pod, any clip in the trailer that’s not in the pods is clearly people that are together outside of the show. So, and then they do show stuff from the engagement day.

You can see who’s in a wedding dress. Like they don’t hide anything, so they give away a lot. It’s just a matter of if I want to sit there and pause it and write down, okay. She was in a wedding dress. He was in a suit on wedding day, on engagement day. She was in her wedding dress. She was in her wedding dress.

He was with his buddies on bachelor party. Like it’s not hard, probably. Pinpoint who was with who. I know the trailer’s already out there. So they’ll show it again on Wednesday in the beginning of the first episode, or maybe at the end of the the pod episodes, at the end of episode six, you know, coming up this season.

But at that point, you’ll know who the couples are. So it’s more or less do you wanna know who the couples are before the end of episode six. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me in Apple Podcast. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download.

Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now if you wanna check that out. Again, thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it, and I will talk to you tomorrow.
