Now, I told you in the open I was gonna talk about Taylor Swift, and yes, the fact that the month of September ends today kind of snuck up on me.
’cause I was like, wait a second. I was talking about this with some people yesterday. I was like, holy shit. The life of a showgirl comes out on Friday. Aren’t I excited? I mean, I’ve already got it set to download in my Apple music, but I will be listening to all 12 songs, like I said, but it, it did sneak up on me for sure.
But here’s something I want to talk about, because I noticed this when I was watching football this weekend, and I saw a story from US Weekly that came out yesterday where they said. Their sources can confirm to them that Taylor Swift was at the Chief’s Ravens game this past Sunday in Kansas City. And I was like, oh, that’s interesting.
’cause I watched that whole game and I never saw her, I also never saw her in the other chief’s home game that they played this year. And when we did the, the only evidence we saw of her arriving at the game in Brazil when they played the Chargers was she was being escorted in behind a moving table. She didn’t wanna be seen at all.
And this has and Swifty fans before you go crazy. I’m saying this right now, this has nothing to do with, Ooh. Trouble in Paradise, Travis and Taylor. Is she even, is she even going to the games anymore? No. It’s nothing like that. My question is, and I was openly asking this to people, was why isn’t she being shown?
Like, is Taylor Swift if she’s at the game like US Weekly reported? And look, all we have to do is go by what they said. Maybe the reporting is wrong, but we have no photographic or video evidence. She was at the chief’s game unless I miss something online because I watched that whole game and I never saw cameras cut away to her once and every time Taylor Swift has attended a Kansas City Chiefs game the last two years, we know the camera pans away to her four to five times a game when Travis does something, when she’s cheering, when the chiefs get a touchdown, whatever it may be.
So I was just thinking out loud, why aren’t they showing her what’s going on? Is she not at the game? If she’s not at the game, why isn’t she at the game? Is it because her album release is coming on Friday and she just doesn’t want to get bogged down with going to a football game? Hell, I don’t know. She went to Selena Gomez’s wedding on Saturday and then apparently got to Kansas City on Sunday to go to the game.
So that made me think. The other thing that I didn’t see was like, okay, maybe Taylor is at the game, but she has informed through Travis, through PR teams. Please don’t cut away and show me at the at the game anymore. I don’t want it. Thought maybe that was possible because she knows that so many people are freaking out and so many, so many of the alpha males get so upset that they show her during a football game.
I have no idea why it bothers so many people. It’s not a big deal to show somebody for two or three seconds on a screen. You could say like, well, they don’t show the. The field goal, kicker’s wife, the field goal kicker’s wife is not the most popular woman in the world. Network TV is doing it because she is a draw.
People are tuning in, literally just to see two or three second clips of her. So your argument goes out the window when it comes to that. It’s a TV decision. But the other thing that made me think, well, why isn’t she at the game if she’s standing there? And she’s sitting where she normally does that. We literally have seen her for every chief’s home game, most of them for the last two years when she wasn’t touring in the suite, first row, cheering, clapping, hugging other people when someone scores a touchdown, whatever.
We haven’t seen that at all this year on any chief’s game. And then I was thinking, well, even if she told that to the networks, right? If she tells the networks, don’t show me. There’s some sort of agreement going on behind the scenes, that’s fine. But the other thing that I haven’t seen is anybody sitting one or two rows in front of that suite with their cell phones just turning around and filming her like they have every time she’s been at a game the last two years, you see that on social media during the game on Mondays, there’s always clips floating around of, oh, there’s Taylor in the suite, and we haven’t seen any of those.
So now I’m wondering, is she just watching the games? The suite, but further back. So nobody sees her. The answer must be yes. ’cause if she was at the game yesterday, she certainly wasn’t sitting in her normal seat. And I’m just curious and I’m not curious to say like, guys, there could be trouble in Paradise.
No, not at all. They, they just got engaged a month ago. They’re not in trouble. They’re not thinking of calling off the wedding, they’re not going through a, a hard time in their relationship. Even though I, you know, I’m not sitting here saying I’m some sort of insider, but I’m not alluding to that at all.
As a television viewer and who have seen the way that networks have treated her for the last two years and trying to get as many shots as they can of her during chiefs games. I’m just wondering why we haven’t gotten any this year. Is it because she’s not at the games? Is it because she’s at the games and she’s told the networks not to do it, or is it because she’s at the games and she’s sitting farther back and she doesn’t want to be seen anymore?
It’s one of those three things I’m leaning towards number three. I think she’s at the games and doesn’t wanna be seen for whatever reason. Everyone’s got their reasons. Maybe she’ll address it. Maybe Travis will address it on the New Heights podcast. It’s very possible, but I don’t know. I have no idea.
But if she’s going to, the Chiefs have had two games at GEHA stadium, and they’ve had one game in Brazil. You’ve seen the clip floating around of her arriving at that stadium in Brazil. You never even saw her. You saw a bunch of security people. Rolling a giant folding table, and she was right behind it and we couldn’t even see her.
And they rolled it to where anybody filming could not see who was behind the table. It was obviously her. And then the Chiefs have played two home games, one against the Eagles and one against the Ravens. And I don’t remember them ever cutting away once to Taylor Swift. So either she’s, like I said, three options.
She’s not at the game, she’s at the game sitting in her normal seat, cheering like she normally does. And the networks have just agreed not to show her. Or she’s going to the games and watching it from a completely different location where she can’t be seen. And that’s my guess. And look, I’m not a Taylor Swift message board person.
I haven’t tried to find an answer to this. Maybe there already is an answer out there. And everybody’s already been talking about this. This is just something that popped into my head on Sunday when I was watching the game that I forgot to bring up in yesterday’s podcast. I’d be curious to know if, if there are people, if there is Swifty Nation talking about this, what are they saying it is?
I’m curious because. There definitely needs, there definitely seems to be something that’s up with why she isn’t being shown at the games anymore and I can’t imagine it’s because she’s not attending them. And like I said, US Weekly posted a story yesterday saying, our sources tell us she was at the Chief’s game yesterday after being on Sunday, after being at Selena Gomez’s wedding on Saturday.
Got it. Makes sense. And in fact, I think I saw a picture of her from paparazzi. Selena Gomez’s wedding, didn’t I? Or is that from, am I mixing that up with some other picture? Whatever the case may be. I just find it kind of all fascinating as a football viewer and as a Taylor Swift fan. With that all said, yeah, like I said, I wasn’t going to bring up a Taylor Swift topic and be like, guys, what is Ophelia gonna be about?
No, no. We’ll be excited to listen to the album, but that wasn’t what this was about. This was, Hey. Let me find, I, I’m curious, and if there are huge swifties out there that have been discussing this in message boards and Discord and Twitch and whatever, and is this a thing, are people talking about this?
They have to be because it is, it is weird every game that she was able to attend in Kansas City over the last two years since she’s been dating Travis, which is every game that she wasn’t on tour during, when they had a home game, they showed her. She had no problem being shown. They’ve had two games in Kansas City this year, both very high profile games.
One a rematch of the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, and then this past Sunday against the Ravens. And she was not to be shown anywhere, never saw her. And then US Weekly report she was there. So I’m like, okay, well then why didn’t they? So seems to me she’s not watching the game from the same seat anymore, and she’s just watching it from further back, so nobody sees her.
And I’m just curious, what is the reason behind that? What is the speculation? What’s the scuttlebutt? Gimme the T. Gimme the scoop. Any swifties out there? Lemme know. According to reports, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have split up after almost 20 years of marriage. Apparently it was his decision. We don’t know any details behind this.
I can’t say I’ve thought about the Nicole Kidman, Keith urban marriage probably ever in my life, but I have given you my feelings on Keith Urban when he was host when he was a judge on American Idol. Like I had heard the name Keith Urban. Just because I knew he was a popular name in country music. I knew what he looked like, but if you tell me to sing one line of any of his songs or give you a title of any of his songs, I couldn’t do it yet.
When I saw him on Idol and I watched all the seasons, he was a judge on Idol. I absolutely loved him. It didn’t make me listen to his music, but I absolutely loved him, loved his accent. I’ve always been a fan of Australian accents and I always said. I got a man crush on that guy. I have no idea why they got divorced, but I’m sorry Keith.
I hope you’re doing well today and this separation slash divorce goes smoothly for you. Right under that story that I saw yesterday was this one, Michelle Pfeiffer becomes a first time grandmother at 67 years old. And you’re like, Steve, why is that relevant? I’ll tell you why it’s relevant, because Grease Two is one of my favorite movies of all time.
And now you know how I conflate and live my life Vicari vicariously through these people’s characters that they played in a movie or on a TV show. Like when I talk about Tori Spelling and Jenny Garth’s podcast, I talk about it as Kelly and Donna. When I talk about Tiffany Amber Thon, I talk about her as Val Marone.
There’s no way I am talking about a story of Michelle Pfeiffer becoming a grandmother for the first time at 67 years old, and not asking, wait, did Stephanie Zoni marry Michael Carrington? Is this their child’s child? I need answers to this. When they threw her a grandmother shower, was Dolores Repchuk there?
Was Lorna Loft there? Paulette, these are the kind of thing there was Sharon there. These are the things I need to know. Some very important stuff. I want an update on what’s happening in the Grease two cannon with all these characters, even though I’m guessing most of ’em don’t even talk to each other anymore and don’t ever, ever come at me and tell me that Grease two is not better than is is worse than Grease one.
It’s not. Be like Steve Grease. The original Grease is an all time classic. Yeah, it’s Steve Grease too came out and it bombed at the theaters because it was a bunch of actors that nobody had ever heard of. Yeah, it was. But ever since then, grease two has developed such a cult following online and people understand, hey, this movie is actually better.
And if you really want to do a deep dive. Of Grease versus Grease two. Let me tell you, if you’re any sort of pro-woman supporter or feminist, you absolutely cannot say Grease is better than Grease Two, because you’re going against your morals and your beliefs if you do that. Because if you look at both movies, do you notice how the first movie was about as misogynistic as you can get?
It was all about these women catering to the men, whatever the men want. They were talking about women. In suggestive ways. You realize in Greece too, they completely flipped the script and all these men were chasing after the women. So if you’re a feminist and you’re pro-women, you better love Grease Two better than Greece because Grease was, I mean, shit, you watch Grease now, there’s so many things in that movie that could never be done in a movie today or any sort of TV show today.
It was very sexist and very misogynistic. Just remember that there’s your grease Grease two breakdown for today, and congratulations to Stephanie Zoni for coming, becoming a grandmother at the age of 67. I just need to know, is this your child with Michael Carrington’s child? Did you go off? Did you marry Nagar?
Did you end up breaking up with Michael and go back to Nagar Alley, Johnny? You like the way he bold, like, I need to know the answers to these things, damnit. And finally, I mentioned in the open that jelly roll is back in my life. You’re like, what do you mean, Steve? Because I got this email. And then Chris Stapleton is going to be in Vegas, February 4th and fifth. That was all part of this email. But they led with, Hey, maybe we can get reality Steve to come by putting Jelly Roll in the title. Yeah, no, ain’t gonna happen. Like I said, I’m sure he’s a great guy. I know his story, but this guy is fucking everywhere and he sings the same liar song.
