Topics on the show today, we’re gonna go over. Love is Blind a little bit. Why did Anna and Blake leave the show? They’ve done post show interviews now and we are going to go over their answers, what they said because they left rather abruptly and both of them, neither of them left and told the people they were talking to.
Hey, I’m gonna bow out. I’ve got a very funny. TV ratings story for you. This showed up on my Facebook page yesterday and I had to take a screenshot of it so I could compare it to nowadays. It is pretty hilarious. And also I’m gonna go over a reader email from last week that I didn’t get to that has a, a lot of big brother stuff in it, as well as some golden Bachelor stuff.
So let’s get started. All right, if you have not watched Love Is Blind. The first six episodes, the next three drop tomorrow, or I guess technically three in the morning this morning, and I mean three in the morning. Tomorrow morning, sorry, 3:00 AM Eastern Time on a Wednesday the eighth, two o’clock Central, one o’clock, mountain Midnight Pacific.
So. If you haven’t watched the first six episodes, then I would just suggest fast forwarding through this, if you have watched, we’re gonna discuss. And what it was, there were two contestants that were in the pods that clearly had connections with other people and they just ended up leaving the pod system.
And essentially all we got on screen was words that said. They’ve chosen to leave this experiment, and neither of them informed the people that they were getting close to why they did it. Anna was one of them. She was a hairstylist Asian woman. She had a connection clearly with Patrick, but she left. Then Patrick focused all attention, all his attention on Casey, and we know how that ended up for him.
Now, if you did watch the trailer for the rest of the season, at the end of episode six, we do see that Patrick does speak to Anna. They bring Anna back and Patrick back for that mixer where they have the singles show up. We do see them talking. Now, clearly in the interviews that Patrick has done and the interviews that Anna has done, they’re not gonna be able to give away if they reconnected after the show or if they’re dating right now.
I’m sure that will happen and they’ll be asked about it at the reunion. That tape’s pretty soon. But there’s no way they were able gonna address that in the interviews they gave at the end of last week, because that would give away plot points and they’re not gonna do that. It is possible that. They’re dating.
It is possible that they’re not dating. I gotta believe that they at least got in touch with each other once everything was said and done. And then we’ll probably find out exactly what those conversations consisted of. But basically, for Anna, it boiled down to the main thing seemed to be, she said her parents being immigrants, they have a language barrier, and she has always been their helper.
She said quote, when I told them, Hey, mom and dad, I’m going on the show. They’re gonna take my phone. They were like, are you being kidnapped? And so she felt guilty that she would literally be without her phone for 10 days. And her parents weren’t comprehending exactly what that meant, and it started weighing on her.
So she just said, I gotta get outta here. But then on the flip side, she also did say quote. I don’t think I regret it because I don’t think the connections were strong enough to have a successful marriage from there. So maybe that gives a little hint as to if there’s anything that happened to posts show between her and Patrick.
She did Patrick did say in his interview, he believes an engagement would’ve happened with Anna. Had she stayed on the show. He said thousand percent for sure. It sucks. She left and a part of it is because the last thing her and I talked about, she told me, don’t break my heart. And I told her I wasn’t going to.
So it definitely, definitely stung pretty hard not to see her The next day. Blake was the one that was vibing with a couple women, but one of them being Meghan, and he basically said. I was almost exclusively concerned with where my head was at my emotional state, and I really thought I was doing the right thing, so I didn’t play that out.
Meaning telling Megan, which feels clumsy and foolish, if I could go back, I definitely would change that. And he essentially said he didn’t feel a strong enough connection with anybody and he didn’t see himself proposing to anybody, so he just bounced. Which makes sense because you can tell. I mean, I, I, I can’t go through every single season, but it’s quite obvious there are certainly people that go on this show that are just looking to get engaged so they can be quote unquote.
A character from a season of love is blind that could possibly get them onto other shows. There’s no way that every single person that has gotten engaged on this show is 100% all in. You know? I think a lot of them want to be engaged and want to just be someone that people talk about, and then that means they could possibly recruited for other shows.
I don’t think it’s farfetched to say that whatsoever. I think if you’re taking this season’s Denver cast, I’d say Casey is probably one of those people. And I, you know, going over past cast, I, I, I, I couldn’t tell you who exactly off the top of my head because I pretty much forget all their names. Once the season ends, hell, sometimes I’m having trouble remembering the people that I saw on the six episodes that aired last Wednesday.
It’s just, you see so many names and so many faces. You’re like, wait, who’s who? It like takes me a second for it to settle in, and sometimes I just have to think, oh wait, who is that person again? Oh, yeah. Got it. But that’s why Anna and Blake are no longer on the show and why they left the show. Like I said, in the trailer, I believe we see Anna at the mixer.
I don’t think we ever see Blake again, and I’m pretty sure we never see Casey again. Like they don’t even bring Casey to talk to Patrick. And Patrick said it in his interview, the fact that Patrick said it in his interview. I have not seen her since that day or spoken to her since that day. Yeah, she’s not coming back on this show now.
