Speaking of Mel’s season, we talked about what Nicole with two Ls. That’s why I call her because I’ve never really seen Nicole spell the two Ls just. Very foreign to me. Anyway, we heard what she said last episode. She said that the season one women, when she was being filmed at the dining room table, said the season one women weren’t so good looking, so she took to Instagram.
I don’t know why it took her five days to go to Instagram and say this. She took the Instagram yesterday and wrote, so something about, I said recently it didn’t exactly sparkle with the kindness and grace. I usually aim for in a moment of thoughtfulness, thoughtlessness, I. And let’s be real life Inside the Bachelor Mansion is like Summer Camp meets emotional bootcamp.
I made a comment comparing season two cast to season one. It was flippant and not my proudest moment. I didn’t mean any harm, but I totally get that it came off as callous and dismissive toward the incredible women who started it all. And for that, I’m truly sorry. As someone who strongly believes in women lifting each other up, I wanna own my, my that.
My words didn’t reflect that mission growth isn’t always glamorous or linear, but it’s real. And this is one of those learning moments for me. To the Radiant Women of season one. You were trailblazers, you walked so we could trip in our heels on national tv. Thank you for your grace and for setting such a beautiful example and high standard to everyone who felt disappointed.
I hear you. I’m learning and I’m committed to showing up with more heart humor and humility, moving forward with love and maybe a little humble pie or maybe humble lemon bars. So she addressed it. Dunno why it took her five days, but she addressed it. I think we’d basically just put it to rest. It’s like, there’s no need to talk about this anymore.
You wanna sit there and dissect just like any other apology from anybody, whether it’s a reality show, contestant, or an actor, or an actress, or celebrity, or a singer, whoever. It’s the actions after the apology that matter the most. If after this apology NAU is out there saying things on social media or she, I guarantee this is gonna come up at the women tell all taping if that hasn’t happened already.
I don’t even know when they taped. The women tell all, I thought it was this week, but I could be wrong. But this will definitely come up and if she gets defensive and starts attacking the women on, the women tell all. Then your apology goes for Naugh. Unless this apology, unless they’ve already taped, the women tell all, then the apology comes after the fact.
But again, it shouldn’t have taken her five days to say this. People were talking about this last Thursday, the very next day after the episode aired. Why wouldn’t she just come out and address it? And you could say, well, she’s looking for all the right words. I mean, that was a pretty standard apology. It was pretty simple.
She didn’t go into too much detail. She didn’t get defensive. She admitted her wrongdoing. She said, that’s not what I’m going for. I’m a pro women lifting up women. Okay? But again, it’s just words. Let’s see how she acts from here on out. Now, whether or not is going to be a major influencer, if she’s gonna be someone that people have to follow after this, probably not.
So I’m not really sure how much her words are going to serve and. People are really going to care after this, but again, there’s no need to call her names. There’s no need to send her death threats. There’s no need to hit her up in her dms and just be rude and nasty to her for what she said. Just leave it alone.
I had constructive criticism when I heard it after Wednesday’s episode. I talked about it on Friday. I was like, that was uncalled for. That was completely unnecessary. I dunno why she did it. And let’s see what she does from here. So she apologized, and I guess we just move on. It’s up to other people and the women of season one, whether or not they believe her, they want to hang out with her, they want to talk to her.
Who knows? I guess we’ll see once this season is over, but I’m not sure if it even matters to her. Does she wanna be friends with women from season one? Do the women from season one even care what Cauley said, or they’re just like, bye woman, don’t need to deal with you. Time is gonna tell more. Taylor Swift news yesterday we had talked about in the podcast, Hey, by the time you listen to the podcast yesterday morning, she will have already been on GMA and the announcement was to be made.
Well, the announcement is what everybody kind of suspected that there was going to be a documentary about the ERAS tour and in addition, we are getting a release of her last. Performance on the ERAS tour, which was in Vancouver, British Columbia. So that’s gonna be part of it. It’s a six part six episode series.
It’s gonna be on Disney Plus, comes out December 12th, and we’re gonna get a lot of behind the scenes of her tour, rehearsing with Travis, taking off her makeup at night, hanging out in bed. Like this is the stuff that she never did for years. So obviously the Taylor Swift fans are gonna eat this up and I think this is a, a huge deal for her.
To be able to share this six episode series. It’s gonna be on Disney Plus. I dunno if I said Disney Plus or not, but it’s gonna be on Disney Plus. They said it’s six episodes, but I don’t know if that means that one or two of the episodes is that final performance in Vancouver or what. All we know is it’s six episodes.
The first two episodes are coming out on December 12th, and then every week we’re getting two episodes. So that’s gonna be exciting, at least for me. Other, other Taylor Swift fans. I, I would think because we never got this, we’ve gotten her concerts before that were released, 1989 reputation. You were able to download those and watch the concerts, but that’s just the concert.
This is literally the making of the eras, tour rehearsals, her dancers hanging out backstage, not even just the night of like back at the hotel. Like this is the stuff we’ve always wanted to see with Taylor. So this is huge. Anyway, I wanted to pass along some numbers as well. These are just facts coming from the life of a Showgirl album release.
The, I thought this was interesting and this is a hell of a statistic for you. The 12 songs on Taylor Swift’s, life of a Showgirl earned More US on Demand streams. Then all other 88 songs in the billboard, hot 100 this last week. So her 12 tracks. Her 12 songs got 680 million downloads in the last week.
The other 88 songs on the top 100 from Billboard got 635 million. Like that is just some pure domination of the market, I would say. Right. How could it not be. And then I also read seven of the top 10 singles in America right now are from her album. She owns seven of the top 10 spots and it’s fate of Ophelia Wood, Alite, I can’t remember the other four.
It was funny ’cause I looked at the other three songs in the top 10 right now. The name of the song and the artist. I’m like, who are these people? I have no idea. I guess I’m just not in tune with today’s tunes. Do they even call them tunes anymore? I mean, iTunes isn’t even really a thing, right? It’s Apple Music Tunes.
It’s so Gen X of me. Actually it’s kind of boomer of me, even though I’m not from the boomer generation. It’s very boomer of to say, check out Taylor’s tunes. And finally Katy Perry, remember the story a couple months ago how just randomly all of a sudden we got a picture of Ka Perry having lunch with former Prime Minister of.
Canada, Justin Trudeau, he’s the former Prime Minister. Right. Sorry, I don’t follow Canadian politics, but I believe that is right. Regardless, it was just kinda random. Now, she was up there doing shows, but you were just like, why is she hanging out with Justin Trudeau? Well, that’s because they’re hitting it, because there she was in a bikini on a yacht caught by paparazzi kissing Justin Trudeau.
I think Katy Perry even addressed this on social media. She reposted the picture that the paparazzi took and, you know, put the eye, the eyeball emojis above it, like didn’t address it, but, and say like exactly what their relationship is. But when, when we first saw that, we were like, well, clearly they’re interested in each other and or this is a date because why else would she be hanging out with him?
And there you go. Now they’re making out on a yacht. I’m sure they maybe went past first base on the yacht. Call me crazy. Call me. Jumping to conclusion, Steve. But my guess is they went past first base is first base even making out what are the bases nowadays. Do I even want to, I don’t want to know because back when I was in school.
I think first base was making out. There’s no way in 2025 we’re saying first base is making out. Right? Like in, in my eyes, first base in 2025 would be the OnDeck circle. Like you’re not even up to bat with making out. Making out would be the OnDeck circle, just being at bat. And then first base, second base, third base.
Don’t even know what they, I don’t even know what the bases are anymore. I just know they’re not what they were when I was growing up. That’s for sure. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
