Daily Roundup 10/29 – Bachelorette Announces Their Premiere Date, All of Taylor’s Men Now Out There, DWTS Halloween Night, Love is Blind Reunion Tonight, & Your Back to the Future Fact of the Day

One thing I did wanna point out, and one of the three men that I posted yesterday, Doug Mason, he’s got an IMDB page, but literally there’s one credit on there, but he is a male model and his Instagram handle is underscore toned bone.

Ah. Probably gonna wanna change that. If this guy wants to do any sort of Instagram growth, you kind of have to have your name as part of it. Doug Mason is not a, you know, I don’t know how many people in this world have the name Doug Mason, but that’s not a unique name by any means. So he, that’s probably why he went with something like Toned Bone, but sounds like something my friends called me back in middle school, but.

I just think, Doug, if you want to, Doug’s probably not listening to this, but Doug, if you want to increase your brand, you’re gonna have to change your Instagram name ’cause that’s not gonna fly. Mike Torito, one of the other guys that I posted yesterday, he was the one that I told you about the other day, that there is a couple tiktoks about him by people who have gotten information in regards to.

The, are we dating the same guy Paige out of New Jersey, which is where he is from? And apparently a bunch of women went on there and said, this guy is a player. He’s dating numerous women. I have found out that I thought he was dating only me, and then these other women reached out to me and so. Again nothing that we haven’t heard before in this franchise, but let’s just see how long Mike Torito lasts.

If he becomes a major player on the season, not player as in how I just described him, but a major player in that he gets pretty far or he gets a hometown or something like that, then I think it becomes more relevant. But right now, again, if he’s off. Rose ceremony, number one or number two, or even number three, eliminate.

It’s like, who cares what he did and dated a bunch of women in New Jersey. Like, okay. I’m guessing a lot of guys on this show, and a lot of women on this show who go on the Bachelor are either seeing somebody, hooking up with somebody, have a few guys on their roster, and then just decide to go on the show to increase their brand.

And the last thing I wanna say, when I did retweet what the Bachelor a b, C page posted yesterday, which was Taylor, Frankie Paul doing the TikTok trend, that’s a little bit old now, but basically, and answer the question of when does your season start? And they put on there March 22nd. You know, there were a lot of responses to me saying.

Not watching. Ugh, don’t care. Again, I say it every season, but you don’t need to tell me you’re not watching the show. I don’t care that you’re not watching the show, because frankly, I don’t even know who you are. Most of the time, the people that message me and say not watching, it’s like, okay, I, I, it’s not like you were set to come over and watch it with me, and all of a sudden.

You found out it was Taylor, Frankie Paul, and you decided not to watch. Like I don’t care that you’re not watching because I guarantee you, ’cause like I say, every season, just because you’re not watching doesn’t mean plenty of other people aren’t either. Because plenty of other people will, and this season, even though it’s airing at a different time from March to May, is going to draw more people.

She’s got way too many followers that care about her life and everything that she does for this not to draw really. Good ratings, at least for this franchise. It’s not like it’s gonna blow doors and get 10 million viewers a week. I mean, the most watched show on television right now is Tracker, and that gets 10 or 11 mil million views a week.

But when you compare it to someone like Jen season or charity season that was drawing two, two and a half million viewers I think this gets at least a 50% bump and they’re drawing three and a half to four. An episode would be my guess. Dancing With the Stars. Last night was Halloween night, and there are two things that I wanted to point out about last night’s episode.

Number one, they didn’t really address the Jan Raznick Maxim Makovsky feud outside of one thing that happened, which was after Jen and Jan danced when the judges gave their. Scores or gave their critique of it. Derek started out his critique by saying, Jan Ma made it a point to say, I just wanna say something right off the bat.

Jan, you are doing an excellent job in your first season. That was clearly a not a shot, but that was clearly in reference to what Max said when he basically said on his podcast on Friday that Jan has no business being a pro on this season. And then Jen cheered for him and said, yes he is, and all this stuff.

So. That was really the only thing that I saw that addressed what Max said. But again, I fast forward through a lot of the fluff. I watch the dances, I watch the critiques. I don’t necessarily watch a lot of what Julianne says up before they give the scores, but I did watch when. Jen and Jan were up there to see if Julianne addressed it or said anything, and I, I didn’t pick up on anything that she said.

So there could have been other points during the show where a judge may have said something or maybe Alfonso or Julianne did say something, but nothing that I caught. The other thing that I want to address when it comes to Dance with the Stars and last night’s show, and it’s, I don’t know if it’s the Halloween show every year, I feel like in the past, Halloween shows have always been a group dance, right?

Two group dances and one team does better than the other, and that team all gets 10 points and the other team gets nine or something. Yeah, last night it was a, a, a dance off. We’ve seen dance offs on this show numerous times before. I think this is just a giant waste of time. Um, we all know like the first, they, they’re all dancing at the same time.

They have to have obviously some sort of stamina. You have to have some sort of routines. But the judges, we all know, the judges are probably told beforehand. Look, you know who the poor couples are. You know who the middle ranking couples are, and you know who the best couples are, and that’s always the way they usually score this thing.

Oh, what a shocker. Andy was out first in the danceathon. Wow. Color me. Shocked. Oh look, Mark Whitney won. They were on top of the leaderboard. What a shocker. Everything else pretty much just fell into place of who got eliminated when. I think Jan and Jen were the second team eliminated, right? And they end up going home.

Look, it’s, this isn’t, this isn’t rocket science. You gotta remember. Well, it is a competition show. I’m not gonna say it’s fixed, but there’s no transparency when it comes to the scoring. We see the judges’ scoring. We are only told how many people voted. We don’t get to see the breakdown of the votes. I understand there’s standards and practices and you’re not supposed to rig any sort of show that has a money prize.

I get that, but it’s very easy on this show to get away with stuff, and production is in constant contact with the judges about scoring and things to say, how to critique, stuff like that. I’m just saying that it’s no surprise that Andy was the first one eliminated, and Whitney and Mark were the team that won.

And everything else, like was there anything shocking to you of when somebody got eliminated in that group dance? Plus, it’s very hard for us viewers to watch that danceathon and keep an eye on nine couples at one time. Like, how in the world can you even know who’s doing well and who isn’t, other than taking a five second glance at this couple?

Okay, they’re doing well. Let me move over to this. Go. They just know the order that they’re pretty much going to eliminate people no matter what they did. What if Andy before that dance drank from the Fountain of Youth and he was dancing like a 25-year-old Fred Astaire.

Of course that can’t happen, but he was still being the first one eliminated. This is what, this is my point I was trying to make. And Andy lasting another week when it was down to three couples. Like that was obviously the other big story last night. Let’s get to this. Was the Elaine getting injured? And when someone gets injured, they’re not automatically removed from the show.

If they can continue, if they get an injury that prevents them from dancing anymore, then yeah, they’re eliminated. But Elaine has a rib injury and her dancing. Her routine was judged with Alan was judged on their last time they went through rehearsal and they got eights on all of that, but then they got zero for their group date dance, and then the final three couples, or the quote unquote bottom three couples, which doesn’t mean they’re the bottom three.

It just means this is how the production of the show is going to go to try and bring some suspense. Well, last night there was zero suspense. I’m sorry, the three people, the three couples. Were Whitney and Mark, who literally had three tens last week and had another couple more tens Last night you had Jan and Jen, and then you had Alan standing up there by himself who had Elaine.

Well, we knew Whitney and Mark weren’t going home, and if anybody thought that they were actually gonna send Elaine home and she was gonna be sent home on an episode that she didn’t even appear on. Well then I would just say you need to pay attention more to how TV works. So Jan and Jen end up getting sent home, which I, that’s a rough week for Jan to say the least, because on a week where he’s called out and told he shouldn’t be a dancer and should not be a pro on this season.

Three days later, he’s eliminated. Like that just doesn’t, that just doesn’t look good. Now, there’s nothing they can do. If he had the, if they had the, the worst voting and they were at the bottom of the voting, okay, but I’m just saying the timing of that looked so bad based on what Max said on Friday. The Love is Blind Reunion happens tonight on Netflix.

This is the only episode that actually airs at nighttime. It doesn’t come out till 9:00 PM Eastern Time tonight. Looks like we’re gonna get our answers. We’re gonna get to see people reunite. We’re gonna see what people have to say to each other. I haven’t seen anything other than that one clip. I haven’t seen any trailer for this other than Megan with the teaser about Well, I have some.

I have some news for you. The other thing is, why was this shot outside? I guess we’ll find out tonight. As far as I know, this is the first time they’ve ever shot a reunion show outside. ’cause they’re clearly outside because the wind is blowing and I don’t know where they shot this. Probably somewhere in la, but I don’t know why they was shot outside.

But that comes out tonight. 9:00 PM Eastern Time, eight Central, seven Mountain six Pacific. We will definitely be talking about it in tomorrow’s episode because I got a lot to go over in tomorrow’s episode. We’re gonna have that to talk about. We’re gonna have Survivor to talk about. Am I gonna get around to the challenge?

Probably not. Am I gonna get around to Amazing Race? Probably not. And as I suspected, I have not watched Amazing Race since Kat got eliminated. So tonight will probably be three episodes in a row. I have not seen I, I did see who got eliminated, but I haven’t watched either of the past two weeks, and I won’t get to tonight’s until maybe this weekend if I get to it at all.

So just keep that in mind because I also have to watch the World Series, tied it to Dodgers last home game of the season. Clearly they need to win this one. Not saying if they lost, they couldn’t win two games in Toronto, but it’ll be that much harder. You obviously wanna go back to Toronto up three, two, just having to win one of two games and you’ve got your best pitcher going in game six and two solid pitchers all hands on deck.

If there’s a game seven, you’re gonna have Tyler Glass now and Shehe Otani pitching. That would be on Saturday. So I just got a lot to watch tonight. And finally, you’re back to the future fact of the day, since it is the 40 year anniversary. The re-release is happening in theaters around the world this weekend for Back to the Future.

And I do wanna address kind of what I brought up the other night and I glossed over it, or I said. Maybe you know about this, maybe you don’t. I’m gonna cover it right now. It is an interesting fact in the movie, and it’s not the, it’s something that I never picked up on when I first saw it, because then, you know, when I saw this movie for the first time, I was 10 years old.

And when you watch a movie like this, you do kind of have to think fourth dimensionally because time travel isn’t real. They’re creating their own time travel rules. And at the time, at 10 years old, I had never seen a movie that involved time travel. So. I just thought it was so cool. And then you watch it and they’re creating because you can argue, oh, this is wrong about this scene, and what about this?

The continuity there. But it’s like, we know time travel isn’t real. So whatever they say happens in time travel, that’s what we have to accept. And I think one of the cooler things, even though it was really small, it just goes to show the attention to detail about this movie. It’s why I love the franchise so much.

There is so much attention to detail about it. And I might tell you another tomorrow’s fact might be about back to the Future part two and the major attention to detail they put in that movie about a scene that was, you know, a few minutes long. But they really went out of their way to make sure they just didn’t throw something in there and make something up.

Well, and back to the future when Marty first arrives, because Doc tells him to meet him at the Twin Pines Mall at one in the morning. When Marty pulls up in his skateboard, it says Twin Pine Small. And during that time when Doc is talking to Marty about, Hey, he built a DeLorean, it’s a time machine, he’s gonna travel.

And he was talking and they were sitting in the parking lot, he’s like, you know, this parking lot used to be farmland by old man Peabody. And he, you know, he’s just kind of telling a story and you’re not really paying attention ’cause you don’t think it has anything to do with anything. But then when you find out, when Marty.

It gets up to 80 by eight miles an hour in that parking lot and is transported back to that same place 30 years earlier. It’s on old man Peabody’s Farm, and then when Marty escapes out of the barn of Old Man Peabody’s Farm. And in the story, by the way, in the story, doc is telling the audience, and Marty, that old man Peabody used to have a pension and used to have a liking.

For growing pine trees. It’s like, oh, maybe that’s why it’s called Twin Pines Mall. That is the answer is why it was called Twin Pines Mall. Well, when Marty escaped in 1955 and he’s leaving that property of the pea bodies, if you remember, he runs over a pine tree. There are two pine trees right next to each other, and he runs one of them over and one is still standing.

It’s literally a one second clip. You’re just, you’re not even thinking how this is going to play into the movie at all, but when Marty comes back from 1955 back to 1985 and he has changed the course of history and he is watching himself back when he arrives at the mall. That sign now says Lone Pine Mall, because Marty changed history when he went back to 1955.

An old man, Peabody now had a Lone Pine and the mall was named after that. It’s just small stuff. You might think that is so insignificant, but to me it shows the genius of this movie of how the continuity of this movie works so, so well. Anyway. Thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts.

Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily. Coming up in an hour from now, we’re gonna break down that World Series game last night, along with some NFL against the spread and over under numbers for the season. Anyway. Thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it and I will talk to you tomorrow.
