You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I am your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Thursday. I got a good show for you today. Gonna tell you why today’s podcast, it’s weekly podcast is being delayed for one day. It actually might go up later on tonight.
We’ll see. But I’ll tell you all about that. We’re gonna talk about my bizarre experience watching The Golden Bachelor last Night Survivor last night as well. Jordan and Meg from Love Is Blind. Go on Nick Al’s podcast. Got some thoughts on that and what went on in San Francisco yesterday, which is tied to the weekly podcast being delayed a day.
So let’s get started. Weekly podcast number 4 68 is going to be with Rachel Juarez, who was up in San Francisco yesterday. For this quote unquote trial that was supposed to happen regarding Laura Owens filing for a renewing her restraining order against Mike Marni and I talked about this I think a week ago and.
I said, look, my opinion is there is, she already got a continuance on it one time, and then we had the whole thing where three days after she said she had was vomiting blood and had a gastrointestinal problems.
She was riding a horse in a competition that weekend, and I said, look, this woman is not showing up in San Francisco at a trial where as far as we know, she doesn’t even have any representation and there’s zero chance that she’s ever going to show up there. And shocker, yesterday she didn’t, and she got smacked down by the judge.
Judge said, case dismissed. You lose. Now Rachel had to go up there because she is co-counsel to Mike Marini. So she went up there and I think she went up there Tuesday night and then flew back yesterday afternoon. We were gonna record last night, but she said, I am beat, it’s been a long day. Can we record today?
And I said, that’s fine. So I’ll just run it a day later, but it’s gonna go over everything. Okay. Because I know a lot of you maybe don’t even understand like, why are you covering this one? It doesn’t have to do with Clayton. Well, it doesn’t really, but. The same woman involved with Clayton is the woman involved here, and it just goes to show a pattern.
So we’re gonna have Rachel on, I’m gonna record tonight, post it tomorrow. Maybe I’ll record it or maybe I’ll post it later on tonight. I’m not sure yet, but it all depends on when I get it done, how quickly I can cut up some clips and all that stuff. So either be prepared for that later on tonight. You’ll hear me in tomorrow’s daily roundup saying 9:15 AM Eastern Time.
Friday it’ll be posted. But Rachel just was not. She was a full day of, you know, traveling back and having to deal with this. There’s just a lot going on, so we’re gonna record that later on today. Here is my absolutely bizarre night of watching. The Golden Bachelor and maybe some of you felt this way too.
And I think it probably has to do with the schedule of how we normally see things on this show or not on this show. ’cause there’s only been one other seasons of the Golden Bachelor. But in this franchise, when they have a tell all episode like they did last Wednesday. Usually the finale is the following week.
Now when the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchise airs, we know that show until this upcoming season with Taylor, Frankie Paul, which is on a Sunday. We know it’s always been Monday night. If the week before is the men Tell all, or the women tell all. Usually the following week is a three hour finale. You know, the two hours of what was recorded on.
Final dates and final Rose ceremony day, and then a one hour live after the final rose, or it’s done over two nights Monday, Tuesday. I went into last night’s episode thinking, sweet golden Bachelor season is ending tonight. Finally, my spoiler will be vindicated. We can just move on because I’ve just had zero interest in this season, and as the episode is going, I’m like, wait a second.
We’ve got 15 minutes left in the episode and Cindy hasn’t even had her date yet, so I’m like, wait, I thought this was the finale. So yeah, it wasn’t until about 35, 40 minutes into the episode that I’m like, oh wait, they’re really running this over the course of two weeks. And then come to find out, next week is a two hour finale, which I’m assuming means the first hour is going to be, you know, both women, you know, whatever happens with both women.
Obviously there’s something that goes on, but as I put in the spoiler, he’s with Peg. So again, it’s however they get there. That’s the part, I don’t know. I just know the end result and he’s with Peg. So it looks like the first hour will be what happened in Antigua? Is it Antigua is Agua, or is it Antigua?
Because I feel like I’m hearing them pronounce Antigua, but it’s spelled A-N-T-I-G-U-A. I’m probably pronouncing it wrong. That happens a lot on this podcast, but looks like the first hour will be from there and then an hour after the final rose of them in Studio Live, which is really interesting because we know next Monday, November 10th filming for Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season is in Colorado.
They’re in Colorado now. When we went over the schedule yesterday, didn’t we determine that date in Colorado on the 10th was going to be the first date in Colorado? So technically, Jesse, I’m assuming Jesse is going to be there for the after the final Rose of Mel’s season, right on November 12th. November 12th.
In Taylor, Frankie Paul’s. Filming would just be a date. Jesse doesn’t need to be there for the dates. He needs to be there for the rose ceremony, which would be the 13th. So yes, while it does seem to be overlapping, Jesse is going to be at Mel’s finale as the host for the after the final Rose. So. Just because he’s there doesn’t mean there’s a stop stoppage of filming in Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season.
Jesse technically doesn’t have to be there other than the first day in the new city, and sometimes he’s not even there for that because why would he be? He doesn’t need to be. He sometimes he’s there, sometimes he isn’t. But we know that there is a group date that is open to the public in Colorado next Monday, November 10th, and I think the 12th.
Well, we know, put it this way, we know the 12th isn’t a rose ceremony day because Jesse wouldn’t be able to be in two places at once. So next Wednesday the 12th, Jesse will be hosting after the final rose, and then I’m assuming he’s on the red eye or not even the red eye, just he’ll take a flight out first thing Thursday morning, and I think Thursday is set to be the, then we determine that that’s gonna be the rose ceremony in Colorado.
So, yeah. Anyway, what was I getting at? Oh, yeah, I just, I, I, I did not know that I, I even got the impression and I watched the women tell all over the weekend. This past weekend. I didn’t watch it when it aired last Wednesday night. I watched it over the weekend. For some reason I was, again, under the assumption, not only just because of how the show has always worked in the past, where the week after the Tell All episode is usually the finale, but I could have sworn Jesse said, tune in next week for Mel’s finale.
Now, he might have worded it in a way where it wasn’t. Hey, next week is the last episode of the season. It is the finale. He might’ve said. Tune in next week to see the end of Mel’s journey, but that could have a couple connotations to it. Either way. Let’s just say I was pretty pissed that last night wasn’t the finale.
We got another week of this garbage, and let me just say this, watching last night’s episode, his final dates with Peg and Cindy, it emphasized even more. Man, I’m sure he’s a nice guy. I’m sure his kids love him to death, but good god, Mel Owens couldn’t be more boring on television if they tried. The guy has absolutely zero personality.
He’s got nothing to say when he is talking to these women. Everything out of his mouth seems like a scripted line. It’s so generic. It’s not coming from his heart. I mean, what is he doing as the gold? What was the reason for choosing this guy? Did a, b, c owe this guy a favor? Because he is absolutely, like you could say what you want about Gary.
And Gary’s kind of showing his ass right now with writing this scathing book, trashing the woman that he claims he was in love with at one point, but at least when we watched Gary’s season, he seemed sincere and he seemed to be interested in these other women. Mel has the personality of a broom handle just a absolute zero.
I’m sorry. It was painful watching him talk to Peg or try and converse with Peg over dinner. And same with Cindy. It just bad and hey. Play stupid games. You win stupid prizes. You play stupid games. By casting, Mel, you win stupid prizes like horrible ratings for this season. So there you go. This podcast is brought to you by Zocdoc.
