You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Sea Podcast. I’m your host Reality Sea. Thank you all for tuning in on this Friday. Good episode 40 Today we’re gonna talk about that Rachel Juarez interview that I posted around 6:15 PM Eastern Time last night. If you haven’t listened to it yet, it is on, it should be in your podcast.
Feed Apple Podcast, Spotify. It’s on my YouTube channel. Go check it out. It’s excellent. We have a very important update to that interview, which is David Ingris heard it and he contacted me last night and he has something to say. I will read you his statement and then I will read you the response to that statement.
Like I said, good podcast today, special Forces last night. We’re also gonna talk about that wicked performance that was on NBC sort of. I’m sure you saw what I put on my Instagram story last night on my new little toy. Very excited about that. And there is a trilogy coming in 2027 to a very popular movie from the eighties.
The original was popular, the sequel, I don’t even think I still have ever even seen it to this day, but the releasing a Trilogy now, it’s coming out in 2027. I’ll tell you what that is. So let’s get started. So right off the bat, as I said in the open recorded with Rachel Juarez. Yesterday afternoon, and I posted it at six 15 last night, Eastern Time.
It’s on my YouTube channel. It is in your podcast feed, whether you listen through Spotify or Apple Podcasts, go check it out. It’s an excellent interview. A lot of people have commented on it. The best part about it was as we were recording, and Rachel gets full credit for this, because when we were recording, we were supposed to record.
Late last night like around, I had originally thrown out like, Hey, can you record around six central time? And she said, I’m actually busy. Can we do earlier in the day? And I had some TV stuff going on and DirecTV was coming by and they gave me a 12 to four window. And I was like, well, I want to get it done before 12.
’cause what if they show up at 12? And then I, but. Anyway, we recorded yesterday morning and while we were recording, as you heard, if you haven’t listened to the interview, during the interview is when the new seven felony counts have come down against Laura Owens in Arizona for a criminal charge. So now she has 14 felony counts against her, and that came down literally while we were recording.
I stopped it down. I said, Rachel, I have to interrupt you, but I know you’re gonna want to hear this. Press release outta Arizona, and I read the seven felony counts for Laura Owens. She’s in a heap of trouble, as she should be, and that’s that. Now, as I also mentioned in the open for the first time in, well, let me scroll back and I’ll tell you the last time I heard from him,
it was, oh geez, I gotta slow back. April 3rd. It’s been seven months since I heard from David Ingris and there’s been no reason to, because I frankly haven’t talked about Laura or this case very much up until the last couple weeks when everything was going on with the Mike Marini restraining order case that Rachel became a part of and became and was helping Omar out on this case.
Well, David sent me a text last night. Not happy. What are you mad at, David? And we were going back and forth. Ended up getting on a phone call that lasted fucking forever. But David wanted to make one thing known. So in all fairness, I said, do you have a statement you want me to give tomorrow on my podcast?
He said, sure. And he said, Steve, the central point I wanna make is that Rachel is alleging or implying. That I did Laura’s appellate briefing in California, and Rachel specifically said, quote, I screwed it up. Rachel referring to David, she thought he screwed it up. She said that on the podcast yesterday, if you listened, David said, that’s false because I had nothing to do with the California appellate briefing.
I did not write any part of it, and I did not advise Laura with respect to the contents of the brief. That’s the short version. The long version was our conversation of us going back and forth about this, but that is his gripe and that had him very upset yesterday because Rachel, during that interview implied that she, after reading the briefing, felt Jerris, either wrote it or was a part of it.
I think we could all gather that from what Rachel said. So in all fairness, I had to bring that to Rachel’s attention and I said, Rachel. Jra said he had absolutely nothing to do with Laura’s appellate briefing in California for this Owens versus Marni case. Rachel’s response to that is, I don’t believe him.
She goes, I’ve read his appellate briefs in the past. I read this one and I’m making the assumption, and my opinion is he had something to do with it. And that’s all I’m saying. She was never saying it as fact. This is just her opinion. She clearly wasn’t purporting any sort of knowledge of being there in Laura’s bedroom or Laura’s office or wherever.
Laura came up with this briefing. She’s not saying she was there and she witnessed it for herself, but if you listen to that yesterday, Rachel was just saying, yeah, I think he wrote it or had something to do with it. So. David Ingris thinks Rachel Juarez is a liar. And Rachel is saying, I don’t believe him when he says he has nothing to do with it, so I’ll just leave it at that for now.
He wanted to make it perfectly known. I said, do you want, I mean, after our conversation, I was like, do you wanna give a statement? And that’s what he sent me in a text. And so once he sent it to me in a text, I notified Rachel. I said, Rachel Ingris says he had nothing to do with. Her appellate briefing in California and Rachel said, I don’t believe it.
And that’s where we’re at. So it’s a, I didn’t do it. And a response of, I think he did. So I know that’s gonna upset David Ingris Moore because he was quite animated on the phone last night. Not a happy camper. Thinks Rachel Juarez is a liar, not have anything nice to say about her. Maybe I’ll let David explain to you why he’s so upset.
You can make your own judgment. We’ll see, because it was quite an interesting conversation last night. I’ll just leave it at that because I didn’t know if he wanted. I said, do you want me to address this? Because when he first texted me last night, he said, I’m so upset that she implied something that isn’t true.
What if I would you, can I go public with what my beef is? Okay. So we had this conversation. I was like, okay, but what do you want me to do about it now? I was like, do you want a statement? I, I go, I record my podcast. Like after we got off the phone, I had to record it last night, this podcast. I said, you wanna leave a statement for me?
He said, okay. And that’s what he sent me. Everything that I read to you is what he wrote in a text. I’m reading it straight from my phone. And yes, by the way, I did protect myself by recording the conversation with Ingris last night. He knows it was recorded, just like every phone conversation I’ve ever had with David Ingris has been recorded, as was last night’s, but that’s what he wanted to say.
He had nothing to do with the California appellate briefing. He did not write, he did not write any part of it, and he did not advise Laura with the respect to the contents of the brief. And he was upset that Rachel implied that he did. And Rachel says in response. I don’t believe him. I believe he did have a part of it based on obviously not personal knowledge.
Again, she wasn’t there when Laura was writing this brief. But having read appellate briefs by David Ingris in the past and having read this one, she thought they sounded alike and she thought that there were similarities between the two briefs. So she figured that David had something to do with it.
He’s saying he didn’t. She’s saying I think he did. I believe he did. It’s my opinion. So we leave it at that. So when I talk about Zocdoc, you know that they are a sponsor for this podcast.
