Daily Roundup 12/3 – Juliana Talks About the Grant Breakup on a Podcast, a Fan Favorite TV Show Cancelled, and Simon Cowell on Seacrest, Idol, and Britney Spears

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast. I’m your host reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Wednesday. We’ve got a good show for you. We’re gonna spend a lot of it going over Juliana Pascal’s interview on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. It’s the first time, as far as I know, that she has really given any sort of in-depth interview in regards to her breakup with Grant.

And she said some things yesterday that we were hearing for the first time. The interview was a little bit frustrating, but that’s only because we wanna know more. And Juliana was. Able to dive into some things, but didn’t get deep enough to where we were like, oh, we got this. So we’re gonna go over the things that she said in that interview.

We’re also going to go over a show that I covered a lot the last couple seasons on this podcast that has been canceled. I’ll tell you about that. And then we’re also gonna dive a little bit more into Simon Cowell and what he had to say about Ryan’s Seacrest, which I found interesting. So let’s get started.

Just a reminder. Today at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, two Central, one Mountain noon Pacific. Going live on my Patreon channel. patreon.com/reality. Steve, it’s five bucks to join, $48 for the year. Save yourself 12 bucks. You’re getting 12 months for the price of 10. And you’re able to be part of the live Rees. We have a live chat going during it and even if you miss it, ’cause it doesn’t go, you can’t go live with me ’cause maybe you have a job, you know, or you’re, whatever work you’re doing prevents you from getting on during that time.

Either way, it posts my Patreon once we’re done, takes about, I don’t know. 10 minutes to upload and you can go revisit it at any time. It’s broken down into sections. Obviously you get my weekly interview whenever it’s recorded. Yesterday I recorded with Susanna Summers Bachelor data. That’s already up on my Patreon, so if you remember, you can go listen to that before it comes out tomorrow on audio and my YouTube channel.

But the live rewatch we’re doing today, season six, episode 10 of Beverly Hills 9 0 2 1 oh. It is Luke Perry’s final episode before he ended up coming back in season nine, but this is the one that we thought this was it, and there’s a backstory to it. We’re gonna watch the episode, obviously no commercial.

It’s about 44 minutes long and. Definitely have a lot to go over here. I think it’s one of his best episodes, if not his best episode acting wise. And yeah, it’s a little bit of a gut punch to watch this episode, especially knowing that Luke is no longer with us. So we’re watching that today at three o’clock on my Patreon channel, patreon.com/reality, Steve.

So join us all there would you, so let’s talk about Juliana Pascal’s appearance yesterday on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. You know that I don’t consume really any podcasts within Bachelor Nation. I just, I can’t, doing what I do 11 podcasts a week, and now a Patreon channel. I just, I just don’t do it unless there’s something worthwhile and I do.

So I listened to Giuliani yesterday and. I don’t have the audio clips, but we’re gonna go over some of the important things that she said and there’s these long quotes in here, but I wanna make sure we talk about it. You know, I don’t remember Juliana talking much outside of right after the show. I believe they went on her and Grant, I think they went on Nick’s podcast and one of the things she said was she didn’t like the fact that Latia brought up her name when talking about the breakup.

And on stage at after the final rose and stuff like that. I would suggest, if you’re interested, I would suggest go listening to this. First off, anybody that complains, lemme just throw this out here. Anybody that complains about the amount of ads I have in my podcast Daily, holy shit balls. That was an hour interview that they did with Juliana, and I swear there were 25 ads, like, come on people.

You can’t complain about my ads. When, my gosh, bachelor, happy hour, we’re taking five minute breaks, four or five different times. Anyway, so Juliana goes on and they’re asking her about the grant stuff, and

I think it was Serena asked. Was this a slow burn in terms of this breakup? Was there one major thing that led to it? What happened? And Juliana said she felt things weren’t gonna last right after the finale, not the finale that they filmed in November of last year. The finale that aired in March of this year.

And she said, honestly, I know Grant and I have tried to our best to keep out of the, to to keep a lot. Things under wraps, but I think there’s a little bit of clarity due here where I will say I woke up from the morning after. It wasn’t the finale, the morning after the finale. It was the next morning after we had sat through all this press.

I woke up and there were some words exchanged between the two of us that made me feel completely alone and isolated, and I don’t even know why. I had tried to stick around for as long as I did, and it was heartbreaking for me. I was depleted as a human. She said, she went on to reveal a little bit more about that conversation that morning, and she said, the thing I would like to share is that I had expressed some severe hurt and I felt like I was carrying a lot of the emotions between both parties throughout the entire, watching it back.

Ultimately, I’d watched things back because I couldn’t hear things live in live time, but I had watched things back and I knew basically everything, nothing Laia said had struck a nerve. I think it was just a matter of how it was handled from his end and trying to get him to take some accountability in that.

And I was really upset and I probably spoke out of anger and said some really hurtful things that night before. And then when we woke up, the first thing he said to me was, he had game planned different ways we could announce our breakup. And I haven’t even made that decision yet. On my end, I was supposed to be leaving to come home from LA and I was like, that’s how we’re gonna start this day.

Have this conversation and after everything I felt like I did for us and putting myself on the back burner, it’s back to the optics. It’s back to what people are going to think and not about us and our relationship. It’s what the outside world thinks, and I couldn’t handle that anymore. So very revealing answer, but obviously there’s stuff there that obviously more people want to know.

What did she say to him the next morning? What were those words exchanged between the two of them that made her feel completely alone and isolated? And then what were the things that she said to him? Some things that she said expressed some severe hurt and she felt like she was carrying a lot of the emotions between the parties throughout the entire, watching it back so.

She did say, obviously she spoke out of anger, said some really hurtful things. Again, what was it? But I understand she’s not gonna go into detail. She’s going to give the audience and the public just a taste of things, but she doesn’t need to dive in to what those things are. I get it. But as someone who covers this show.

There’s only so much I can go off of based on what she said, because then I’m just be making assumptions about what Grant said, what she said. You know, that’s what other people will do. I’m just not gonna do it. I don’t know anything about their relationship other than what she chose to give us in that interview and what Grant has said, which has been a lot of beating around the Bush stuff as well, and he hasn’t gone into detail so.

You almost have to respect both of them because neither of them have taken complete shots at each other, and that’s not normal for people that break up in this franchise. Usually it is just blatant of someone’s going on a podcast and saying, this is exactly what this person did or said. That’s not the case here.

They’re definitely not in contact anymore. She did specify that they don’t talk, but she respects him. She wishes him well. But she’s not gonna basically take backhanded shots at him and reveal private conversations between them. So I get it. I understand. But she also understands by going on that podcast yesterday, they had to ask and she gave them as much as she was gonna give them.

And we have to respect that as an audience. This podcast brought to you by. Zocdoc.
