You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality C Podcast. I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Friday Good show heading into the weekend. There was an anniversary yesterday that I forgot to bring up. I’ll tell you all about it. Grant goes on Instagram live yesterday, no filter, no vetting process, and just started answering people’s live questions.
We’ll tell you about that. Nick and Natalie taking some heat for mom shaming Whitney Levitt. We have Kate Walsh coming back to Grey’s Anatomy and this. Spotify wrapped stuff I find very funny. So let’s get started. I can’t believe I forgot this yesterday. Of all the things to forget, I cannot believe I forgot this yesterday.
And you know what? It was nine years ago, December 4th, 2016 was the day I put out my first podcast. I always knew it was like, I always forget every year, it’s either the fourth, fifth, or sixth. I gotta somehow remind myself I need to put a reminder in my phone on the third. ’cause that’s when I record the episode for the fourth.
But I remembered yesterday, December 4th, 2016, I put out my first podcast. It was like 40 minutes long and I was just introducing myself to people. But unbelievable. Nine years now, remember. From 2000 from December 4th, 2016 until July 11th, 2022. I just did one, one episode a week, and that was my Thursday interview podcast.
And then 2022 rolled around and I’m like, I need to do this daily. And ever since July 11th, 2022, you’ve had an episode every day, Monday through Friday, and then the Sports Daily started January the first, Monday in January of 2023. I don’t remember the date. But I’ve done a sports daily every Monday through Friday since then as well.
So I don’t know. Happy anniversary to me, man. I tell you, when I started this nine years ago, I, I can’t say I thought I would be doing this still nine years later. And number two, I didn’t think I’d be doing 11 podcasts a week and now a Patreon channel, but times change and you got to change with the times.
So last couple days I’ve talked about Juliana and her interview on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and randomly yesterday. I’m sitting there on my phone and it pops up because I follow Grant Ellis on Instagram. It pops up that grant is going live on Instagram. I was busy at the time. I looked at my phone and I saw it, but I was, I think I was recording something, but he put it on his Instagram feed.
So I went back and watched, it was long. I don’t know the exact time it was, but I watched it at two times speed and I took some notes and it was really interesting because Grant just decided, Hey, just come on my live and ask me anything and I’ll answer it. And sometimes. He was random fans. He was just saying, Hey, request to join the live.
And he was just putting random fans on his live, which is fine I guess, but you kind of need to screen those out because we’ve seen that one dude that claims to be people and then shows up on lives and is butt naked and swings his dick around. So Grant clearly had no idea about that guy. ’cause it’s been a, a couple years since he’s done that to somebody.
But we know that guy got at least three or four people in Bachelor Nation with that. So that could have happened. It didn’t, and I think you just need to vet stuff like that before you bring somebody on. But he chose to do it. Nothing bad happened. The people who came on were fine. And the only thing I can think of as to why Grant did this is he didn’t want to directly say, Hey everybody, I wanna talk about what Juliana said on Bachelor happy hour.
But you can’t tell me there wasn’t a correlation as to why Grant went live yesterday to answer some questions. Two days after Juliana goes on Bachelor happy hour as and says some things that we had never heard of yet. Now, if you watched Grant Grant’s Instagram live, he was actually, he didn’t really say anything.
He said some things of note, but I don’t think anything he said is going to make headlines. Like it seemed like he was going live to answer questions, but he was still biting his tongue in the same breath. Someone asked him if he could do one, redo one thing about his season. He said there’s things I can’t speak on that happened behind the scenes, but one thing is I would be more stern with production.
And then he said his season was two weeks shorter than other bachelors, so he would’ve liked to have spent time, more time with the women. He was asked numerous times about Latia, do you think you should have chosen Latia? He said, I’m not gonna speak on that in the moment. I chose the right direction for me.
He said, no, me and Juliana are not getting back together. When asked would he ever go on Bachelor in Paradise, he said no. He was asked again, would you date Latia? He said, I don’t think I would. Life is about moving forward, yada, yada, yada. I think she’s a great person. I just don’t think our lifestyles match.
He was asked, did you think you handled the Juliana breakup? Well, he says, I’m not gonna lie. I did kind of crash out at one point. It was so public. I didn’t want it to be that way. I could’ve done a better job. So that was a good answer. He said, he was asked, why’d you break up with Juliana? He said, no comment.
He was asked, why are you doing a live stream? He said, I’m bored. Someone said, I grew up with Juliana. I wish you two were still together. And he said, life happens. Life happens. He said it twice. He was asked, would you date Jen Tran? He said, Jen and I had a good thing, but she’s doing her thing. I don’t think I’d go back into Bachelor Nation to date.
I. Biggest regret is the bachelor, not speaking his peace at the finale. So that’s what I mean. He kind of bread crumbed us with one of his answers earlier about, I wish I was more stern with production and then says, I wish I would’ve spoke my peace at the finale. It’s like, okay, but what would you have said at the finale and what are you holding back?
So like I said, he, he gave some answers. Nothing that’s really headline worthy here, but you can tell he wanted to maybe set some things straight. He said he is gonna be on the bachelor cruise. Everyone was asking why it didn’t work out with him and Juliana, he just says, that’s the way life goes.
Sometimes things don’t work out. And then he kept saying, this was interesting when, when talking about Carolina, he kept asking, Hey, someone, get Carolina on here. Have her call in or have her come on and I’ll request an invite for her and get her on this. He said, she called me on Instagram DM like 20 times last week and I didn’t answer.
And then she goes on a podcast and talked mad shit about me. He said if he could do one thing different, he would’ve waited to say, I love you. Latia waited till he expressed his feelings to then tell him she was Mormon and he said that threw him off. The first time I was told that she was Mormon was at the date in Scotland before hometowns.
He was, he said, I did not know before that. He said, I felt like the person I picked Juliana fit my lifestyle more. So the last thing that he, you know, I basically, I just went over the stuff that had to do with the show and the last thing that he said was basically, and I think he harped on it, this is probably the most revealing thing that he said.
Basically, the reason he didn’t pick Laia is because she’s Mormon and he just did not see himself sit fitting into that lifestyle. He mentioned that indirectly numerous times about not finding out until late about her lifestyle. He didn’t know he wish he would’ve known sooner about that, so clearly that was the reason that he didn’t end up going with Latia.
But as I said, it was a pretty tame Instagram live, but I definitely think it was in response. To Juliana going on Bachelor happy hour because he was just like sitting on his couch board and decided to go live and answer a bunch of questions and he kept asking, Hey, ask me anything juicy. But then he wouldn’t really get in and give anybody a juicy answer.
So I get it. I mean, he is under contract. He, there is certain things, but you could tell by one of those early answers, you know, he certainly was not giving anything up, you know, saying I wish I would’ve been more stern with production and. You know, I wish I would’ve said my piece more at the after the final Rose.
