Daily Roundup 12/5 – Yesterday’s Anniversary, Grant Does a Q&A on IG Live, Nick & Natalie Taking Heat for Mom Shaming, Grey’s Anatomy, & My Apple Music Wrapped

I’m sure you’ve seen this, quite a few content creators have been covering it, so I will too.

This isn’t a pile on because I’m not a fan of Nick Vial. There are plenty of other content creators that are doing this, but Nick and Natalie went in on Whitney Levitt and had some really hot takes in regards to going on Dance with the Stars with three kids and you know, taking her kids to LA for while she was there on that show.

And now she got the role of Roxy Hart in Chicago. So now she obviously has to move to New York. And for whatever reason, Natalie and Nick have such a major problem with this. So we’re gonna listen to the Natalie clip first, and then I’m gonna play the nick clip after that.

Imagine what is going through Whitney’s head of like, I’m finally getting like everything I’ve ever wanted in my life.

And it’s obviously happening at a time where like she’s got three kids. Who I’m sure like demand her attention just as much as Roxy Hart in Dancing With the Stars does know. And it’s

like, I, okay, and then here’s what Nick said.

Whitney has gone from, all right, let’s, we’re just, we’re gonna uproot our life.

We’re moving to la, we’re gonna do Dancing With the Stars, and then now we’re gonna uproot our life. We’re gonna go to New York, we’re gonna do Broadway.

I don’t know if they take their kids outta school. I don’t know if they’re just away from their kids for,

I mean, I don’t understand why this is such a big deal to them.

What do they care? It’s Whitney Levitt’s life. What is she? She’s able to do whatever she wants with her life, and clearly things are working out well for her. I mean, there are so many mom shaming problems with this, but there’s two things that I want to address here. Number one, there have been, I’m guessing, plenty of men who have kids who have gone on dancing with the Stars and had to be away from their family for a while.

Did Nick and Natalie ever bring that up? At any point have they ever called out a man with kids for going on Dancing with the Stars and being away from their family for however many weeks they lasted? My guess would be, no. Secondly, I didn’t know this because I don’t watch the show, but you know, I, I’m, I’m aware that Nick hosted the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two reunion show last year, and the one that just came out yesterday.

Was hosted by Stassi Schroeder, and Nick made an announcement that I’m not coming back for two because I’m doing a dating show on Netflix. Conflict of interest, blah, blah, blah. Well, again, this isn’t just me piling on Nick, but you had Jen Affleck, but the reunion show hosted by Stassi that came out yesterday.

Saying that she was admitting she was happy that the change happened, and she said, I’m so glad it’s you because I know you are totally unbiased, which was clearly a shot at Nick. And then I read further down what Nick did last year as the host, and he called out Whitney. And Whitney felt attacked by Nick.

So this is clearly. Somebody pushed back against Nick and now he’s going to hold a grudge probably until the end of time. That’s the only reason he came out with that take. I don’t know what Natalie’s deal is. Why she cares. Why does Natalie care how Whitney Levitt’s kids are being schooled? Clearly they’re fine.

Her husband is a stay at home husband, right? She’s acting like Whitney Levitt. Was walking down the street one day, got picked up, thrown into a van, and thrown on a reality show and decided, yeah, I’m gonna go with this. Clearly conversations were had, arrangements were made where she can go do this show and her kids would be fine.

She can go be Roxy Hart on Broadway in the musical Chicago. And her kids will be fine. Why do these two have such a problem? Well, we know why Nick does, because Whitney pushed back against him on the reunion show last year. That’s clearly why Nick is still having a hard on for Whitney. Not in a sexual manner, I’m just saying a hardon in that, gosh, he won’t let it go because there’s only, that’s the only reason he would have this take a year later.

Is, I didn’t even know this. Like I said, I didn’t watch the reunion show last year, but when reading the quotes, he was really going in on her last year asking her to take accountability for stuff, wouldn’t let things go. He asked her if she thought she was better than Taylor, Frankie Paul at taking accountability, and she said, no, I don’t think I’m one to judge that.

And Nick fired back. I’m not asking you to judge it. I’m asking you what you think. By asking her what she thinks. She’s still having to give a judgment on whether or not she thought she was better than Taylor, Frankie Paul, at taking accountability. Like this is the issue that I’ve always had with Nick.

His self-awareness is just not there. The way he came across to me in the interview that I did with him, the way he came across to me in the private conversations I had with him, I don’t think he understands how he comes across to people. And I don’t think you can convince him that, Nick, you realize you said something really wrong there.

I mean, how many times have we called him out for stuff he has said on his podcast in recent years, and he never addresses it. It just means that we’re all haters. We’re just jealous of his success. No, we’re not. If any other content creator podcast host said this to Whitney Levitt during the reunion show, I’d be saying the same thing.

But now that you have this hot take, you and your wife have this hot take about Whitney and care so much about the her children.

What?

Let it go man. What do you care what Whitney Levitt’s children are doing when she’s at Dance with the Stars and what kind of schooling they’re getting? Like that is, there’s no other way to describe that other than a complete mom.

Shame by Nick and Natalie on Whitney, and a grudge that Nick has clearly held for a year since Whitney pushed back on him at the reunion of Secret Lives for Mormon wives last season. It’s unbelievable. These two can’t get out of their own way. So I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen Grey’s Anatomy. I mean, I’ve seen an episode here or there, but.

What are they in Season 22? Let’s just say I’ve missed way more episodes than I’ve seen. However, I do know who Kate Walsh is. I do know who Dr. Addison Montgomery is, and I just read yesterday. She’s coming back for the second half of season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy, and I’ll be honest, I love me some Kate Walsh.

And you say, well, what have you seen her in? Not Grey’s Anatomy, right? No, but I did watch the spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy Private Practice. Absolutely loved that show. Always been a fan of Kate Walsh, and I have no idea. I mean, I know she was married to the Patrick Dempsey character mc. He McDreamy or Mcsi. I always mix ’em up.

I know she was married to him. Then they got divorced and then she came back to Grey’s Anatomy and whatnot. But. I watched every episode of private practice with her and Tay Diggs and the other people that I’m, names I’m forgetting. But I really, really liked that show and just have always been a Kate Walsh guy.

So good for her. She’s back in the game. People. Dr. Addison Montgomery, coming back to, wait, don’t tell me, I’m not even gonna look this up. Sea, Seattle Grace, is that the name of the hospital? See, I don’t even, I’ve never even seen the show outside of a couple episodes here and there, but like I know the names of the characters just because I see stuff like this all the time.

So Pat on my back for that. Wow. I’m pretty impressed that I remembered Seattle Grace. Anyway. Obviously if you’ve watched Grey’s Anatomy for 22 seasons, you’ll be like, Steve, that’s the stupidest thing you could pat yourself on the back for it’s, yeah, but I don’t, we’ve seen like one or two episodes, but I’ve just seen so many articles about storylines from that show and helicopters falling on people and whatever.

It was people getting run over and I just, Seattle Grace is the hospital name that I’ve heard over the years. And finally you see what everybody’s posting this time of year. It’s always beginning in December, you got your Spotify wrapped for your music. Tells you the top five songs that you’ve listened to in the year, top five albums or artists you listened to, the amount of minutes you spent listening to them.

What’s funny is I’m not much of a music guy when I’m out on my walks. I’m usually listening to podcasts, usually sports related podcasts. So when I went, my niece, Olivia said she sent me hers and it was number one was Tate McCree and you know, and ungodly amount of minutes listening to Tate McCree in 2025.

It was like 15,000 minutes and she’s like, what’s yours? I’m like, first off I don’t even know how to get it. Number two, when I do listen to music, I listen on Apple Podcasts. I don’t listen on Spotify, so can I do it on Apple? She’s like, yeah, do this, this, this. Okay. So I pulled it up and my most listened to artist was Taylor Swift, which should surprise nobody.

However, it was like 418 minutes. That shows you how little I listened to music and I. I’m trying to think. Like a lot of the songs that were in my list were songs that were from my party that as we were getting closer to my party, I was trying to finalize my song list for the dj, and when I went on my walks, I would listen to it and be like, oh, I want this song to follow this song, or whatever.

So those ended up being the songs on my list mostly. And I, I can honestly say outside of when. Life of a showgirl came out. I, I really have not gone on my Apple music and listened to anything music wise. Maybe sometimes I’m in the shower, I’ll listen, I’ll put on music, but it was just funny because my niece had 15,000 minutes dedicated to Tate McCray in 2025 and I had like 400 minutes.

That’s not a lot. I mean. I, I felt like I really listened to life of a Showgirl a lot. Apparently I didn’t. I don’t know. But yeah, it was like 400 something minutes. Anyway, thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. The only way it counts is a download Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now.

Have a great weekend, everybody. Football weekend too. Big football weekend. College football conference championships and obviously some NFL. So again, thanks for listening everybody. I really appreciate it. Have a great weekend. I will talk to you on Monday.

See ya.
