Something popped up on social media yesterday on Instagram where we saw two people from Bachelor in Paradise, season seven that left the show rather early. In fact, they left in week three. They quit the show in week three because essentially they were bullied off the show by Grocery Joe.
But nobody wants to talk about that anymore. Anyway, Chris Conran and Alana Mil. Left the show in week three. Chris was on, I think he was a first night eliminate on Claire season, and I can’t remember off the top of my head what season, Al. Oh, she was on bachelor mat season, which was the COVID season. So Alana.
Chris got married in July, but they didn’t post the fact that they got married until yesterday on their Instagram. You’re just like, Steve, why are you bringing this up? I’m bringing it up because for those that don’t remember, Chris came on my podcast after this quote unquote incident back in September of 2021, and that was on the episode that he entered Bachelor in Paradise.
At the time, Nick Vial was doing recaps of Bachelor in Paradise and he would have on a guest every week and they would just go over the episode. His guest was comedian Dave Holmes. And I wanna play these two clips for you ’cause I don’t wanna read it. You need the context of what was said, and this isn’t me just nitpicking at Nick because this was covered by a lot of content creators at the time.
Dave Neil did a whole video on it and I brought it up to Chris. Chris came on my podcast for this reason alone. And called Nick out for it himself. So I just want to, and it, and it plays into the fact that Chris and Alana just got married over the summer in July, but posted it yesterday. So here is Dave Holmes and Nick Vial talking about when Chris Conran and Chason, who was also on CLA ANDAs season, joined Bachelor in Paradise and they stepped foot onto the beach.
So I’m gonna play two clips here. Here’s the first one.
No, he did. Like, here is why Chris is on the show. First off, I know. Joke. I ver when he was walking down, we only got a shot of his legs and, and and I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t sure. Right. Yeah, I wasn’t, I was like, oh, is this a guy or a girl? I forget about the rotation.
He has very pretty legs. He does lovely legs.
Props to Chris. Yeah. These guys I wrote down look like police sketches of handsome guys. You know what I mean? They’re not, they don’t, they’re like, not unattractive, but they’re like, it’s like somebody very quickly tried to make a handsome guy. They do
very well in the bar scene.
Right. Like to that, you know, like they’re the, they’re just good looking enough that when you have a few drinks, they probably clean up.
Okay. So basically just insinuating they were ate. They came down the stairs, he saw his legs and he said, I just wasn’t sure. What weren’t you sure about? Nick, why don’t you, why don’t you fill us in on what you weren’t sure about when Chris Conran came walking down the steps at Bachelor in Paradise?
I just outta curiosity now, was it the most, was it the worst thing you’ve ever heard on the internet? No, but here’s a guy who is very, very critical of me and others who comment and say, off the cuff remarks. About contestants and here he is basically questioning a guy’s sexuality. Somebody who is definitely tried to be Mr.
Pro, L-G-T-B-Q-L-G-B-T-Q. You know, he’s got a sister who’s in that community and here he is, he sees a guy’s legs on a television show walking down the stairs and he says, immediately I thought, I don’t know, just completely uncalled for. But here’s the second quote that I wanted to play of Dave and Nick.
Commenting on Chris,
I was getting a, um, kind of a fluid vibe from Chris and Jason when they showed up. I was like, oh, is this, I was,
I was gonna. Yeah. One of your expert, expert opinion. Yeah. My, my radar isn’t always the best. Yeah.
Neither is mine, but that one, I, I was certain that it was like, oh, these are the guys who were sort of bicurious and you know, they’re gonna, Wells is gonna make ’em a cocktail and you know, who knows?
Who knows what may happen next. That was my feeling. ’cause that’s ’cause we’ve been there with women, right? Yeah. We haven’t been there with men yet. It’s, it’s a, it’s a difficult step for TV to take. Yeah. Right. Um, but that was, that was kind of why I felt that they were there. I,
I, I, I wasn’t sure about Chris.
I mean, even from the legs. Yeah. Yeah. Run off the,
I wasn’t sure about Chris, even from the legs and then said, my radar is sometimes off. Why did you just say it, Nick? Gaar, that’s exactly what you were referring to. So I just wanted to bring this up again because I’ll never forget Chris Conran and Alana Mil, because a lot of content creators cover this.
Chris came on my podcast, Dave Neil did a whole video on this back when this was being done. Nick got called out for this in the moment. Of course, he never addressed it. Never apologized for what he said about Chris. Chris came on my podcast and was very offended that Nick had this take on him. And here we are four years later and him and Alana still together and got married this summer.
So kind of a nice f you to Nick who questioned the guy’s masculinity based on his legs and his co-host, basically calling them. Oh, I think these are the Bye guys on this season. And hey, we’ve never had, we’ve had Girl On Girl on this show. Never had two guys. That’s a big step to take. And then Nick’s like, yeah, I just had my questions about Chris.
Okay. Very, very progressive take Nick. Congratulations to Chris and Alana for not only getting married, but finally putting the final stake in the Nick vial gaar and shoving it up his ass by getting married back in July, but announcing it a couple days ago. And finally I wanna talk about the finale tonight for Survivor, I mentioned yesterday we are gonna have Stephen Fishback on the annual Stephen Biannual Stephen Fishback appearance on the Reality C Podcast to go over the survivor finale.
We are gonna record on Thursday. I will post it on my Patreon after I record on Thursday, but. That means that there will be no Thursday weekly podcast. Tomorrow, it will go up on Friday. Patreon people get it tomorrow about 15, 20 minutes after I record with him, and then I’ll post it. My weekly podcast will be up on Friday of this week.
However, for the three hour survivor finale tonight, which we know is usually two hours of. What happened those final days there and then an hour reunion show, although the last couple years, it’s literally been two hours and 20 minutes, two hours and 25 minutes of what’s happened on the island. And then they reduced that garbage reunion show where they basically do the reunion show right then and there where the votes were done out in Fiji.
And we usually only get about 30 to 35 minutes of a reunion show now. But. That was going to air from 8:00 PM Eastern time tonight to 11:00 PM Eastern time and seven to 10 central time live well, in case you didn’t know, the president decided yesterday, he wants to address the nation well. He is addressing the nation at 9:00 PM Eastern Time and all four broadcast networks, A, B, C-N-B-C-C-B-S, and Fox.
Plan to carry the speech and preempt their primetime schedules to air it live. This I’m reading directly from deadline.com and this will be done without any commentary on my end quote. Trump only announced he will give the address six hours ago, which will have caused the network schedules a massive headache.
White House officials have indicated Trump will use the speech to outline his accomplishments this year. CBS will interrupt the three hour finale of season 49 of Survivor in order to air the address. The network said the finale, which starts at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, will resume where it left off immediately following the President’s address for Eastern and Central time zone viewers.
So we’re gonna see the first Hour Eastern and central time zone viewers, and then he’s gonna give his speech and. I can’t remember the last time he’s given a speech that was rather short, you know? So I think we have to prepare for about a 45 minute to an hour delay, but they’re not gonna come back and be like, oh, you just missed, you know, let’s just say Trump’s speech is an hour.
They’re not gonna say, oh, you just missed the second hour of Survivor. No, they are just basically gonna put it on pause and come back. So if he does an hour speech tonight. That means we’re getting a four hour it’s, or it’s gonna take four hours to watch the survivor finale tonight. Just preparing you get your DVRs ready.
And I, we know he does. He’s very long-winded. This isn’t gonna be some 20 minute speech. I can’t imagine. I, I might be giving him a little too much credit by saying it’s only gonna be an hour. It might go longer. I, I, I don’t know. We don’t know. We kind of never know when it comes to him and, and what he’s gonna say and how long he’s gonna go on for.
So just know, set your DVRs and add, I would add if just to be safe, I would add 90 minutes to your DVR just to be safe because. This looks like it’s not ending. If Trump’s speech is an hour, it’s ending at 11. This whole survivor finale tonight is ending at 11:00 PM Eastern time. If Trump’s speech is 90 minutes, it’s ending at 11:30 PM Eastern time.
So just be prepared. Actually, my math sucks there Eastern time, if you’re watching on the East coast, if he does a speech for an hour. The whole survivor finale isn’t gonna end until midnight eastern time. And if he goes an hour and a half survivor finale isn’t gonna end until 1230 in the morning for you.
So sorry about that. My math sucked. I got my time zones mixed up. So for me, in the central time zone, if he talks for an hour, it’ll be till 11 Eastern time zone. Yeah, you guys are gonna be up till midnight. No doubt about that. And if you watch the floor and you’re recording the floor finale, I haven’t watched one episode of the floor, so I’m not really too concerned about that one getting delayed.
But same thing is gonna happen on Fox with the floor. So just letting you know, because this announcement, as I read in the press release, just came up yesterday. He just decided I’m gonna talk to the nation tomorrow. And according to deadline, he’s talking to us because he wants to tell us. And outline his accomplishments this year.
Okay. I mean, he’s the president. He is allowed to do whatever he wants, but just know it’s gonna postpone the survivor finale by minimum 45 minutes, but probably close to an hour. So get ready for that tonight. It’s gonna be a long night ’cause I’m not gonna be able to record the daily roundup until it’s over.
So yeah, it’s gonna be a late night for me as well. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast also. Rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily was posted an hour. Well that’s coming up in an hour. Sorry about that.
That’s coming up in an hour for now. If you want to check that out again, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. And I will talk to you tomorrow.
See ya.
