You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. Good shorter show for you. Probably shorter shows. All this week, since it is holiday week, the Bachelorette has wrapped up filming in St. Lucia. You saw that over the weekend.
If you follow Taylor, Frankie Paul on her social media, talk about that, we will discuss what else I’m looking forward to this week. Remember last week, I said, why does Sage hate survivor so much? Well, we kind of got an answer when she did her exit interview with everybody. With Dalton Ross, with Mike Bloom, with Sharon Tharp, she basically said the same thing in all of them.
And yeah, Sage is not down with this cast. Also have a Saturday Night Live story for you and the newest TikTok trend that is absolutely driving me bonkers. So let’s get started. Alright, let’s start with the Bachelorette filming wrapped on Friday. Taylor Frankie Paul posted on Saturday that filming had wrapped, but Saturday afternoon, Jesse Palmer was already back in the States broadcasting the Ole Miss Tulane football game, so filming definitely wrapped on Friday and Taylor, Frankie Paul was back on Saturday based on what she posted over the weekend.
And then on Sunday, yesterday, she was posting from her home numerous Instagram stories. So obviously once I find out exactly what happened, who she’s with, are they engaged? I will let you know. Clearly there’s already stuff out there. Everybody is assuming that she picked Doug or. Doug Coda as everybody is calling him, or Dakota 2.0, whatever you want to say.
You know, would I be surprised if that’s the guy she chose? No, I wouldn’t, based on what I’ve heard about this season, but when I get official confirmation, I will let you know. It’s just the crazy thing is we just never have never had to wait this long for any bachelor bachelorette season. You know, we don’t get our first episode until March 22nd, and it is.
December 22nd, we got three full months before we get our first episode. So there is so much that is gonna be going on, which means we won’t get her finale until the end of May. So it’ll be five months that her and her final pick are gonna have to wait to be a public couple, which is longer than most seasons.
It’s usually only three and a half to four months. You have to wait. Now it’s gonna be five and. If it is Doug, again, like I said last week, I hope Doug has thick skin because this guy is going to be called Dakota 2.0 and Doug Coda by a lot of the audience, and after a while that’s probably gonna get old for him, and I’m sure he’s not gonna enjoy being.
The second banana, if it is him in the end, the second banana to ever’s baby daddy, like that’s always going to follow him around. We’ll see. Again, I’m not putting much stock into this season in terms of a love story. I mean, come on, let’s just be honest. And it’s not because Taylor, Frankie Paul doesn’t deserve love.
That’s not it. She’s a single mother, three kids from two different guys. That’s fine. She absolutely can and probably will find somebody in the future. I just don’t think whoever she chose from this show is going to be her long-term partner, and I don’t think I’m really going out on a limb with that take either.
It’s just this season is, I just cannot compare it to any previous bachelorette season. There’s no reason to. This season is a stunt casting. It’s being done strictly for ratings. It was basically. Thrown it together in a like a week or two. This was not supposed to happen. They were supposed to have a bachelor season and then for whatever reason, the show just decided to go in a different direction and bring Taylor on.
So that’s why I’m not really putting too much stock into really anything that happens this season. If anything, it’s gonna be more to watch it, at least for the audience. You’re gonna be watching this season to see which guys from the season are gonna be down in Paradise and who you can pair them up with from previous seasons.
’cause that’s what it’s gonna turn into. That’s what it’s going to be. I’m not looking for a love story and nor should you be. I don’t care how much you love Secret Lives of Mormon wives and how much you think Taylor has changed and how much you think Taylor deserves love. You might think that, but she’s not getting it from this show.
I’m just telling you I would. Really, really tap the brakes on that. Moving on with Christmas, being on Thursday, and that is the day that my my weekly podcast comes out. As of right now, I don’t really have anybody to record with for even if I record today or tomorrow, and I release it Wednesday night or Thursday, it’s gonna be something.
Where I just, like I said, it’s Christmas day. Again, I don’t expect a ton of people to be listening, so maybe what I’ll do is a reader email. So email me at steve@realitysteve.com or message me on Instagram. Send your question there, or Twitter dm, however you want to contact me. Hit me up there and maybe I’ll just answer reader emails for your weekly podcast this week for Christmas Day.
That seems to be the easiest thing to do. You know, no need to get a guest for this week, and so that’s the plan right now. Send me your emails, any questions you may have, steve@realitysteve.com or hit me up on my Instagram or Twitter or I’ll do it that way. Just seems a lot easier to do it that way than.
Try and book somebody today or tomorrow and you know, post something on Christmas Eve. Even if I posted it Wednesday night, it’s, that’s Christmas Eve. Like you’re gonna have a lot of shorter shows this week. It’s just, that’s the way it’s gonna be, just due to the fact that it’s a holiday week and I just don’t expect a lot of people to be up to date on podcasts.
But we still will have a podcast every day, just the weekly one. Let’s do some reader email. So hit me up at steve@realitysteve.com.
