I hope everyone had a great Christmas yesterday. Another quick show for you here. A couple things I want to go over. We have a bachelorette couple that delivered their first child.
We found out about that yesterday. The child was delivered on Tuesday. I’m gonna go over a reader email that was in the reader emails this week, and then I got a follow up to it and then we gotta talk about that $1.8 billion. Powerball. We had this discussion at Christmas dinner and. I wanna talk about it a little bit more and we’ll get to that momentarily.
Alright? If you didn’t see it, Jordan and Jojo went in for a regular checkup and they ended up having a baby.
Jojo said she went in for her weekly sonogram on Tuesday, and then they found out they needed to deliver via emergency C-section that day. They ended up delivering their daughter at 5:37 PM on Tuesday, Romy Blair Rogers. So congratulations to them and I kind of. Enjoy the fact that despite everything that happened in the past, and it wasn’t anything major, it was just me doing what I did back in the day in reporting.
And I was able, I, I’m glad that Jordan and jojo and I were able to move past that. I had them on when they were promoting the Big d Jordan has come on my sports podcast a couple times. We’ll send the occasional sports texts to each other. Uh, I just like the fact that. We’ve been able to move past. My reporting on it was mostly Jordan.
It had nothing to do with jojo. Mostly my reporting on Jordan way back in the day, whenever her season was, what was it, 20 17, 20 18? I don’t even remember. It’s a while ago. But it’s really cool sometimes where people are able to move past it. Yeah. There are some people in this franchise that will hold a grudge on something I said eight years ago, and there are some people that understand.
Hey, we get it. And I think the first time I spoke to Jordan and jojo a couple years ago, two or three years ago when we did that podcast for the Big D, Jordan was like, yeah man, I get it. I get what you gotta do. You know, he wasn’t even like bitter, didn’t want to even call me out. I was expecting him to and he didn’t.
So, uh, I’m glad we’ve been able to be civil with each other and congratulations to them on their daughter that came on Tuesday night. So one thing that I wanted to discuss was in the weekly podcast, the Reader Emails podcast that came out a couple days ago. There was an email in there that said, Hey, Steve been a listener for a long time, and I could have sworn about five or seven years ago, and they were like, yeah, I could be off on the time.
But it seemed like it was five or seven years ago. You said you had a major story. That you were gonna have somebody on the podcast because you said it was their story to tell and then it fell through. And as far as I know, you’ve never brought it up again. And I, when I read that email, I was like, man, I don’t even remember that, to be honest with you.
So I got a follow up email yesterday that said, Steve, the person who asked you about your big story, you actually had the person all lined up to be interviewed and they decided not to do the interview. So I’ve always been suspicious that the person was going to accuse someone on the show of something scandalous like Chris Harrison or a producer, but you literally teased it.
Biggest story of this franchise and lost the interview. I’ve also always wondered what it was, but I guess we will never know. Just to jog your memory, what that person was referring to. So when I got that email yesterday, I was like, huh. Now the one thing that I think is off is the email that came in the weekly podcast said, I think it was about five or seven years ago, if we’re going about what this email sent me yesterday where I said I had the person all lined up, interviewed, set, and ready to go.
Yes. Now I remember what this person is talking about. I don’t know if it. Is the same as what the person on the reader email said because they said five or seven years ago, because I know what this person is talking about, and this happened in 2022, and I absolutely know what it is, but unfortunately you’re right.
This person was all lined up to be interviewed and then they decided not to do it, and I can’t force anybody to do an interview. Would I have liked to have had them on? Sure. And we went over everything. I mean, this is somebody that there was some heavy, heavy vetting because this was going to be a major, major story.
But they sent me photos, they sent me videos, they sent me text conversations. This was all legit, and it was a very serious interview that was going to be done. And then they literally ghosted me and they disappeared. And then I think like a month later, I reached out and I said, what happened? And they admitted I got scared.
And I said, well, do you want more time? Do you still wanna do this? And they said, yes, I think I wanna do this. And then they ghosted me again. So there isn’t much I can do at that point. I’m not gonna force somebody to do a podcast. And with the nature of what that podcast would’ve been, absolutely. I understand why.
They didn’t end up ultimately doing the interview, but you know, leading up to it, I said, look, if we do this, you have to know what is possibly coming. So maybe after me saying that a few times to them, it’s set in with them and they’re like, oh shit, I don’t know if I want to involve myself in this. And no, I’m not gonna give any teasers to what it is or who it was about because again, this is a, this would’ve been a major, major story, major major accusations being made.
And I wouldn’t even call them accusations because I saw what I needed to see. They showed me everything and they said they wanted to talk about it. And then I said, are you sure you understand if you come forward and we talk about this on a podcast. This is what could possibly happen. And they said, yeah, yeah, I’m good.
I wanna do this. And then after sitting on it, 24 to 48 hours, it turned into, wait, what about this? And is this could possibly happen? And I’m like, yeah, it’s very possible. So just laying it out there for them. And yeah, it was, it was pretty brutal to say the least. Not that they canceled on the interview, I’m just saying what the interview would’ve been and what people would’ve heard it.
It would’ve been tough to hear and um, unfortunately, I, you know, I’m not gonna sit here and be like, well, I know who it was about and that person did this. No, not gonna do that. Can’t do that. That’s a serious, serious violation. And that person could probably come after me for it because it would be hearsay or third party, just me relaying something.
And uh, yeah, so that’s the one that this email was talking about. So I don’t know if that lines up with that email that came on reader emails. ’cause like I said, that person said, seemed like it was five to seven years ago. The story that I was just referring to happened in 2022. I had to go back and look today because I wanted to make sure I got the dates right and yeah, it was 2022.
So it is what it is. Nothing we can do about it, but. I did wanna bring that up because this email that I got yesterday jogged my memory of like, yeah, no, I remember now because when I read that reader email earlier, I’m like, five to seven years ago, what was I talking about? I didn’t even remember. But yeah, that was it.
This one was all lined up, set to go, and they ghosted me and then they came back, or I reached out a month later and they responded, admitted. They were scared. I asked, do you still wanna do it? And they said yes. And then they ghost to me again. So I was like, okay, well I’m, I’m giving up at this point. I’m not gonna sit here and just bang the door down on this person, getting them to, uh, do a podcast.
