A couple things to end with here. Can we change the calendar so that. We never ever have to have Christmas on a Thursday again, that is the worst day of the week to have Christmas on and ever. Obviously, whatever day Christmas is on New Year’s is on, and Christmas being on a Thursday.
Now, for people who have nine to five jobs, it probably hits a little bit different. Obviously for me, my days are pretty much the same. You know, it doesn’t matter, but. When Christmas falls on a Thursday, all day. Thursday. I was thinking it was Friday or even Saturday. I thought it was the weekend. So that’s why it was so weird to record two podcasts Christmas night ’cause tech, you know, the next day was still Friday.
I still have to have podcasts Monday through Friday. It’s just a weird day to have it. I know we can’t change anything Certain years. Christmas is gonna fall on a Thursday. There’s nothing we can do about that next year. Christmas is on a Friday. That’s a hell of a lot easier to digest, at least for me.
But my God, can we just not have Christmas on a third? It’s just so weird. Not to mention the week from Christmas until New Year’s again for people with nine to five jobs. I never know. You probably never know what day it is. You probably never know what the date is. It’s just a very unproductive week.
Most people are off. Me, I won’t be off obviously all this week, but I’m talking about people who have to check into an office every day. That’s gotta be the most unproductive week of work. Correct? Like who is really giving a full effort today, tomorrow, and then New Year’s Eve on Wednesday. Like I, I, you know, knock on wood, I haven’t worked in an office.
In 20 years where I had to, you know, check in, have a boss and all that. So I don’t even know how it works anymore. Do pe I obviously, I know a lot more people work at home, work from home now versus, you know, pre COVID, but do people have to go into the office on New Year’s Eve and then work New Year’s Day?
Do you get New Year’s Eve off and you have to come in New Year’s Day? Do you get both off? I don’t even know. That’s how oblivious I am to office work now. I have no idea what days are on or off when it comes to the holiday. I just know that having Christmas on a Thursday sucks. Let’s change it. Let’s never have it again.
And finally I found somebody on TikTok that all the props to them that they are able to. Tolerate this. The TikTok account is called Midori Collusion. M-I-D-O-R-I, collusion, C-O-L-L-U-S-I-O-N. And I’m based on their accent. They are British, I think, and I don’t even know if they live in Britain or they’re British and they live in the States.
I have no idea. But this person’s TikTok account, I would say 70 to 75% of it is listening to every one of Nick Al’s podcasts and basically hate listening. I mean, she literally says at the beginning of every episode, this is my hate. Listen to this week’s Nick Al podcast. But she doesn’t just hate, just to hate.
She actually pinpoints every single time Nick Vial says something problematic. I mean, props to her, like I said, for putting this much dedication into something to where I only hear the clips. That make the rounds, like when Nick and Natalie complained about the woman on the plane talking about their kid behind them like that made the rounds when Nick and Natalie called out Katie Thurston for sharing text messages when they did the same exact thing themselves.
Like we’ve gone over all the stuff that Nick has said, problematic and never takes accountability for anything and everyone else is wrong, and he calls everybody. That’s a content creator. You know, micro content creators and calls us irrelevant and stuff like that. We, we’ve gone over all this stuff, but this account, literally, they read Nick’s book and did a whole hate read of Nick’s book and then broke down all the problematic things in it.
This person does it, I think, for every single podcast that Nick puts out. It is unreal. I’ve listened to a lot of these and they are really good. Again, it’s, it’s not hate just to hate even when I bring up the stuff that Nick says, I’m telling you why it’s problematic, just not saying, oh, Nick said this. Oh, yeah.
The thing that he said about Gary Turner’s ex-wife, and he said the body wasn’t even cold before Gary started dating again, based off a absolute rumor that he had no factual evidence of and didn’t vet at all like that kind of stuff. This person literally goes and listens to every single one of Nick’s podcasts and then does a podcast or a, a TikTok about it on her own and absolutely obliterates him.
I think it’s hilarious. Props to Midori collusion. Maybe we’ll have her on the podcast at some point. Maybe I’ll reach out to her and see why, like, I, I mean, I, there is a part of me that’s curious as to. Clearly she doesn’t like the guy. ’cause you wouldn’t do this for somebody that you liked. Clearly she doesn’t like him.
I’m just curious of what made her say, this is what I want to do on TikTok. She does other stuff, but I would say based on what I’ve seen on her TikTok account, Midori collusion, 75% of it is breakdowns of Nick’s podcasts and or Nick’s appearances, or Nick’s book, whatever. And it is. Excellent, excellent stuff.
