Now, we did get an interesting story that broke yesterday. We might have a new A-list couple. It’s not gonna dethrone Travis and Taylor. No way. ’cause Taylor Swift is the most popular woman in the world, but. We do have a very hot celebrity couple that debuted seemingly a relationship hookup, whatever it was.
But Tom Brady and Alex Earl were in St. Bart’s for New Year’s. Tons of videos of them together, tons of pictures of them together. And it wasn’t like, oh, Tom Brady’s in St. Parts, and so is Alex Earl. And they happened to be caught talking and so many people were filming them. No, no, no, no, no. It is obvious what was going on.
Now does this mean they are an item they’re going to officially date? Who knows? Only time’s gonna tell on that. She literally just broke up with Braxton Barrios, what? Three weeks ago. We know. We know she likes football players. Has there ever been more of an upgrade in your dating life when your roster has been football players or athletes?
Has anybody ever upgraded? More so than Alex Earl with this latest, she went from practice squad player Braxton Burials from the Houston Texans to Tom freaking Brady. He’s 23 years older than her. He’s 48 and she’s 25. But that doesn’t matter to him. It certainly doesn’t matter to her. I don’t care. It’s whatever, to me, doesn’t affect my life in any way, shape, or form.
I get it. Those people live completely different lives than you or I. They live in La la land where money isn’t an issue and they can pretty much do whatever they want, whenever the hell they want. And that’s what those two are doing. He’s a great looking guy. She’s a hot 25-year-old. Of course they’re hooking up.
Is anybody surprised by this? I mean, it really isn’t. I think it was just surprising in that we had no idea these people were even talking. This is the first time they’d ever been seen. So that surprise factor. Yeah. But then when you really think about it, great looking, 48-year-old guy that’s almost a billionaire, multi multimillionaire, and she’s a hot 25-year-old influencer.
It’s like, yeah, okay, we get it. Hot people like hooking up with each other. It’s kinda the way it works in this world. So I guess I’m not too surprised, but that’s hell of a power couple and that’s a hell of an upgrade for Alex Earl Braxton Barrios must just be like, oh boy. Ouch. That’s a kick to the nuts if I ever saw one.
And finally, there’s a show that is making a comeback. In about a month from now on February 4th, I didn’t even know this until yesterday when I saw the trailer is being executive produced by Seth Rogan, and it made a comeback on a, b, C in the mockumentary style format. I wanna say about 10 years ago, maybe a little bit more, and that was the Muppets.
It was like the Muppets were doing a late night talk show, but it was shot in the form of how the office was shot. It was just, the office was based upon a paper company in Pennsylvania. It, and the Muppet Mockumentary show was based on. A late night talk show hosted by, I believe Kermit and all the Muppets were producers and executive producers and you know, putting on the skits and stuff like that.
It was, honestly, I thought it was funny. I liked it, but I’m also a little biased towards the Muppets. Anyone that knows me for a long time back knows. I’ve just always been a Muppet guy. I find them funny. I know that sounds bizarre. Maybe ’cause I grew up with them. But I’ve always liked the Muppets. And when that show came out and it was on A, B, C and it ran in prime time, I was like, this is actually pretty funny.
And then it just went away. Obviously it didn’t get great ratings and it got canceled. Now, Disney Plus on February 4th is bringing back the Muppet Show, which is the show that as a kid I grew up watching. So they’re bringing, they’re not gonna do a mockumentary show about. A late night talk show, they’re bringing back the Muppet Show.
It’s gonna be on Disney plus. It starts February 4th. I don’t know how many episodes they’re gonna have, but Seth Rogan is the executive producer. Sabrina Carpenter, I believe is in the first episode. She’s in the trailer, and frankly, I can’t wait. Do you remember the one time the Muppets were incorporated into Bachelor Nation?
I do. Emily Maynard, season one of her group dates the Muppets performed in Charlotte. At a theater, and I think the guys had to go up there and do something with The Muppets. I don’t even remember, but I’m pretty sure it was a group date and I know it was in Charlotte and maybe that was around the time.
You know what? Now that I think about it, the only reason the Muppets would be part of Bachelor Nation was that was probably around the time when that episode aired is when that Muppet show was airing. So it was almost like a crossover thing. But I’ll be honest, I’m excited. For February 4th on Disney Plus to watch the revival of the Muppet Show.
It’s done to play the music. It’s done to light the lights.
The Muppet Show tonight.
I, I was such a big Muppet fan growing up. Muppet movie, great Muppet Caper. That was a classic Muppets take Manhattan. Remember when I told you, and the reason that we’re even doing the rewatch tonight with Grease two is I told you in the summer of 1983 when I went back to New York with my sister to hang with my relatives.
It was just one of those cable movies that was on almost every day, and I just watched it so many times. It’s why I know all the songs and whatnot. Well, one of the other movies I gotta look at, when it came out, maybe it came out in 81 and then on in HBO, it was in the summer of 82, but Muppets Take Manhattan.
That was the third installment from that movie. And the amount of times that I saw Muppets Take Manhattan, I, I haven’t seen that movie in probably 30, 35 years, maybe 40 years. And I guarantee you, if it came on right now, I could recite every line to that movie. It is. It is so good. Not lying. Muppet Steak Manhattan Great.
Muppet Cber was funny too. I really liked that one. Some great one-liners in those movies. I brought the paper towels. What if we only jumped part way? Uh, you. If you didn’t, you don’t get it. You don’t get it. But it was funny. It was funny back then. It’s funny now. So let me enjoy my muppets. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily, coming up in an hour from now. Don’t forget tonight, 8:00 PM Eastern Time on my Patreon channel. patreon.com/reality. Steve, a live rewatch of Grease. Two, I won’t sing over all the songs.
But I will be singing along with, well, at some point during every song that plays, I will sing and it’ll be just as glorious as me a couple minutes ago singing the Muppet Show theme song. So just be prepared. I can’t wait. Anyway, thanks again for listening. Talk to you tonight. Have a great weekend everybody, and I’ll talk to you on Monday.
See ya.
