Got a good show for you today. Is everybody sick because I’m starting to get there. I gotta update you on what happened with the Patreon on Friday night.
I’ve got a, a thought on Taylor. Frankie Paul has nothing to do with her season in per se, or. Any spoilers or anything along those lines? Just something that has come up on social media that I’m just kind of scratching my head at. We had an engagement on New Year’s Eve in Bachelor Nation. We have a new couple coming out of Love Is Blind.
Well, someone from Love is Blind. It has a new man in her life and more promotion for the All Her Fault television show on Peacock. Coming from the Critics Choice Awards last night. So let’s get started. I did notice a lot of people on social media. I can’t even remember who they were. I just going through my Instagram stories over the weekend.
So many people were talking about is there a sickness going on, going around right now? And I’m not majorly sick right now, but my throat feels a little scratchy, which will lead to a runny nose. And a little congestion probably in the next few days. But the weird thing is it’s not like we’ve had any severe weather change here in Texas.
So I don’t know what usually call, usually the weather change is what gets me sick. And again, I am, you know, knock on wood, I just don’t get sick very often. My sickness consists usually of congestion. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had the flu 30 years ago. Maybe I, it just doesn’t, I don’t get sick, and I’m talking about like, sick, sick, obviously.
Remember, remember it was it like, I don’t know, three or four months ago where my voice was just shot and gone because my, my sore throat led to a runny nose, which then led to. Just this tickle in my throat, which had me coughing nonstop and the coughing led me to lose my voice. But I mean, it’s very minimal right now, but I can almost feel it coming on.
Started to take some medicine today. So hopefully it won’t be too bad on the Patreon Friday night and even during the day on Friday, I was so fired up getting ready for the grease two rewatch on patreon.com/reality, Steve and. I am just the biggest idiot. About an hour beforehand, I realized I had not downloaded Grease two to my list of TV shows and movies.
So I start downloading it and usually they take a while, like an hour and a half to two hours. So I start downloading it at six and at six 30 I’m like, oh my gosh, it’s never gonna finish in 30 minutes. ’cause I can see the little wheel and how far it’s been. Downloaded. So I thought maybe extending it out an hour and then I was gonna do it at 9:00 PM Eastern time.
So we get to about 10 minutes to nine Eastern time on Friday night, and the wheel is only about three quarters of the way done downloading. And I’m like, well, these people are gonna have to sit here for 20 or 30 minutes before we start the movie, or we just go to something that I had already had in there, which was pretty in pink, which is where the two theme songs for my two podcasts come from.
And I left it up to the Patreon subscribers. Hey, do you wanna wait this out? Do you wanna just cancel tonight? Or do you want do Pity pretty in pink tonight? What do you wanna do? And they all said, pretty And Pink is fine. So we watched Pretty In Pink. That was fun because number one, it’s a classic. Number two, there’s a lot of inside stuff about that movie that maybe people didn’t know that I enjoy sharing.
In regards to, especially the ending of that movie had to be completely reshot three months later because when that movie tested with the focus group, the focus group said, absolutely not. Should Andy end up with Ducky, we want her with Blaine. Well, Andrew McCarthy had already went off and shaved his head for a role he was playing on Broadway, so they had to reshoot the prom scene and that’s why Andrew McCarthy’s hair looks so awful.
’cause he’s got a terrible wig on. But that was the reason they had to literally reshoot it three months later because a focus group, nobody wanted ducky to end up with. Andy and Molly Ringwald has said it in interviews numerous times since then that hey, one, she didn’t think Andy should ended up with Ducky either.
And number two, she did not get along with John Crier on set. She just had apparently found him annoying. And I don’t know, I think they’ve made up, but she has basically said in her mind, based on the story, it just wasn’t believable to her either that Andy and Ducky would end up, would end up together because there was never anything romantic between them.
And she didn’t think, you know, of course you’ve got this, oh, he’s been my friend forever and I finally gave him a chance. And they end up together. She’s just said like, I just didn’t see it. It wouldn’t have been believable to me. So she was probably happy that the focus group was like, yeah, can we get Andy and Blaine together and not Ducky?
But yeah, that’s why they had to reshoot it and they did. And that changed history of the pretty and pink ending. So we are gonna reschedule Grease two until January 19th, not this Friday, but a week from Friday this week on the Patreon channel, I think we’re going to do a. TV episode. I don’t know what episode of what TV show yet, but that’ll be coming tomorrow or Wednesday.
I’ll update you on that. But January 19th, tentatively right now, because I was gonna do grease two this weekend, but we’ve got a great weekend of sports. With five consecutive days of playoff games. You got the semi-final in college football Thursday night, the other semi-final on Friday night, and then you’ve got two games Saturday, three games Sunday, and one game Monday night in the NFL all playoff games.
So yeah, we’re not, we’re not doing that this week. So we’ll do it a television show episode during the week, either tomorrow or Wednesday, and then tentatively. Friday night, the nine the six I said the 19th. Friday night, January 16th will be the grease two rewatch. And I am giddy. Just giddy for that.
