You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast, I am your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in. On this Tuesday. Good show for you. We are gonna talk a little bit about The Bachelorette, just some things, nothing that I’m hearing about Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season.
I just want to address something about the franchise. We’re gonna discuss this. Brooklyn Beckham versus his parents’ Feud, which I don’t know, just this very bizarre story. Then we’ve got a couple reader emails to go over and let’s begin with that. So I wanted to briefly talk about The Bachelorette.
I know that this show does not start for another two months, almost two months to the day. It starts Sunday, March 22nd. Obviously today is the 20th of January, and I can’t remember the last time one of my daily roundups had any bachelorette related news in it. Maybe when I reported that the final two were Doug and Shane, I don’t know to understand, like I’m not gonna just talk about that show when there’s nothing to talk about.
If I had information on it, I absolutely would fill you in. There’s just nothing going on. Clearly. Obviously we know there’s no filming going on. Filming ended a month ago, and. Again, I hear things all the time. I hear little pieces here and there, you know, trying to piece together who went home when on this show, but at this point, the bachelorette information that you’re getting is probably gonna be pretty scarce for the next two months because it’s, I never know when I’m gonna hear stuff.
I never know when I can get stuff confirmed. Like have I heard between Doug and Shane who’ve won? Who might have won? Yeah. But again, nothing that I can confirm. So I can’t, and I don’t plan on sharing that when I have no idea. Could I just take a wild guess and hope that I’m right? Of course. But I don’t. I don’t guess and speculate.
I try and spoil. I think there’s a difference between that because nobody else out there on the internet put out Shane and Doug were your final two. So anybody at this point can go out there and say, oh, Shane won, or, oh, Doug won. You got a 50 50 shot at being right. I could easily guess and speculate.
It’s just not something that I ever like doing. I, I want to hear from sources. I want to hear and see if I can get any legitimate information to back up that info that the source tells me, and I’ll pass it along. But I know that when it comes to this podcast, clearly it’s not that I’m moving away from bachelorette coverage.
I just don’t know what there is to cover when the show isn’t even filming right now and it doesn’t air for another two months. There’s not really any bachelorette news to talk about. Do we want to talk about anything happening in Bachelor Nation? I mean, what’s, what’s any story that’s happening in Bachelor Nation right now?
I mean, the biggest thing in Bachelor Nation, I covered last week on at least two or three podcasts was the Nick and Natalie interview with Austin Kroll. Like that is something that a lot of people are talking about. I can’t find one other story in Bachelor Nation right now that a lot of people are like, yeah, this is what we’re covering.
The Nick and Natalie Austin Kroll interview obviously was very well covered last week by a ton of people, so that’s why I covered it. But anything else? What, you know, Anna Redmond and Chris Bakowski got engaged. I, I, I mentioned that, but you know, someone getting engaged, it’s just, Hey, it’s a quick mention in case you didn’t know this.
Here’s some Bachelor Nation news. But there’s nothing to break down there. There’s nothing to sit there and go like, oh, okay, let’s discuss this. It’s just like, Hey, in case you didn’t know Anna and Chris got engaged. So I just wanna point that out. Obviously this podcast, this daily podcast. Most of the daily podcasts until March 22nd will not be bachelorette focused.
If there’s news in Bachelor Nation, absolutely we’ll talk about it. But until then, not a whole hell of a lot going on with The Bachelorette and any sort of news. They haven’t even run a promo for the season yet. And the first promo they’re gonna run is gonna be very basic. We’re not gonna get that two and a half, three minute trailer for the season until opening night.
So. And until I get some major spoilers on this season, there just isn’t a ton to cover when it comes to Bachelorette or Bachelor Nation News. I’m sure you saw yesterday this story coming from Brooklyn Beckham, who is the son of David and Victoria Beckham, and he put out a five carousel photo on his Instagram story.
Basically calling out his parents. I’m not gonna read the whole thing to you, but he basically said there’s an ongoing rift in the family, which has been made worse by his parents spreading lies to the media, you know, and he threw in there. I’ve been silent for years. I’ve made every effort to keep these matters private.
I do not wanna reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. And Victoria Beckham and Dave and Beckham have not responded to this. They haven’t addressed anything that he has said, but he made a bunch of claims in this Instagram story, the treatment of his relationship with actress Nicola Pelz and their behavior at the 2022 wedding, apparently, and I thought there might’ve been a video that I saw online yesterday, but again, I have.
I am so jaded by AI right now that I never know what’s real and what isn’t. But I thought, I saw a video from this wedding where basically Victoria Beckham, he said his parents had been trying to ruin his relationship even before his wedding, and I guess there was a whole ordeal back in 2022 with.
Victoria Beckham said she planned to make Nicola’s wedding dress, but then canceled at the 11th hour. Again, I, I, I didn’t follow it back then. I have no idea how true it is. Is there a, is there the two sides and then the truth lies somewhere in the middle? I don’t know. He said that Victoria ruined his first dance with his wife.
They planned a dance week in advance. But then his mom came out and danced inappropriately on him, like basically gave him a lap dance in front of everyone at the wedding. He said, I’ve never felt more uncomfortable. Humility humiliated my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that brings us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment, like he went on and on, and I don’t know anything much about this family.
I know who they are. Obviously I know who David Beckham is and I know Victoria Beckham, but. This is just very, very curious to bring to an Instagram story when you are as famous as they are. I’ve, you know, read some reaction to this online from social media that, and again, I, I don’t wanna discredit what Brooklyn is saying, but the response that I’m seeing of people attacking him.
Has basically been saying kids never worked a day in his life. Parents have provided him everything, and now he’s an ungrateful asshole for it. I’m like, well, I, I, I don’t know what that has to do with anything. If he’s being treated poorly by his parents, what is him living off them? And, you know, I, I would think most parents in their situation.
Not that they’re going to give him every dollar that he asks for. They probably want him to create his own career. But, you know, I, again, I don’t know. I have no idea what Brooklyn Beckham does. I didn’t even know he was married until he told this story about his wife gave him a, his mom gave him a lap dance during his wedding.
I, I, there’s just so many things I don’t know about this family. I’m just saying the story itself just seems, I don’t know if this is the way you should go about doing it. And I understand, he’s saying, oh, I’ve been quiet for all these years. It’s finally my time to speak up and, and say something and defend myself and all this.
And I’m like, okay. But you gotta also understand that I, from what I’ve read, not a lot of people are thrilled with his act. And apparently they’re sight. Now. It’s very possible that people are siding with David and Victoria because they’re more welllike than Brooklyn. And they don’t like the fact that Brooklyn has basically.
I guess done nothing and he’s 26 years old and he lives off his parents’ giant fortune. Again, I have no idea, but when you look at it from an outside perspective as somebody who doesn’t follow the Beckham family all that much, I just think this is a really curious way to go about calling out your parents on an Instagram story that’s gonna be deleted after 24 hours.
Again, everybody has seen it. People magazine, US Weekly, entertainment Weekly. They’re all covering it. It’s literally the front page story yesterday, but I just feel like something is missing here. We’re not getting the full story of this relationship between him and his parents. Now, if that video I saw yesterday was actually the video of Victoria Beckham giving her son a lap dance at his wedding.
That seemed a little creepy. I don’t know any context. First of off, I don’t even know if the video was real, but I also don’t know the context. Like what was the point of it? Was it a whole joke because it was she dancing in front of him and kind of on him? Yeah, but it’s not like, this wasn’t like, it was a, if, if this video again was real.
It’s not like this was some sort of strip club act, and she was literally grinding her ass in his crotch as his mother. I, I didn’t see that she was dancing in front of him and I, I don’t know. This story is just kind of ridiculous all around, but it’s front page of everything and I just don’t know what, what is Brooklyn trying to gain by this?
Why is he calling his parents out on Instagram story? I would think he would easily be able to get a sit down or a one-on-one interview with people, or Entertainment Weekly, or E-News or whoever, some outlet, maybe go on a podcast to put it on your Instagram story in five stories. Seems counterproductive to me.
