You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. A good show for you today. Got some thoughts to start off the show about what happened over the weekend. We’re also gonna talk about what happened since Friday’s.
Traders Recap. The Trader’s Instagram account had something very interesting to put out. Tell you what I think about that. Also, what happened on Saturday night on Netflix as Alex Al decided to scale 101 story building. Surely have some thoughts on that. So let’s get started. You know me on this podcast. I don’t like to talk about the bigger issues that are going on in the world.
Obviously, I know what I cover on this podcast, reality TV, and Lost Rewatch and Back to the Future. It’s not the most important thing going on in the world clearly, and I’m aware of what’s happening out there in the world. I just don’t like to discuss it on this podcast for the sole reason. That it makes my blood boil, it gets me too fired up.
It’s very depressing. It’s also infuriating. And we all saw what happened, uh, this weekend in Minnesota and I feel for Alex Preti. What happened this weekend was uncalled for. In my opinion, I feel Alex Pretti should be alive right now. Do not like the way things were handled, and it’s just a shame of what’s going on in this country right now.
But again, it, it’s so much of a, a deeper talk. And anytime you bring anything like this up, it turns into this back and forth and left versus right. And honestly, what happened this week in Minnesota was nothing political. That wasn’t politics, that’s just human decency and humanity. And. I don’t think it is politics.
That’s why I will at least bring this up today because it has nothing to do with politics what happened over the weekend. But I’m not here to debate people who wanna look at angles of videos and angles of photos and where hand placement was and stuff like that. It’s just, it’s never gonna get anywhere because the people that are on one side, no matter what you say, are gonna believe that side and the people on the other side, no matter what you say.
Um, are gonna believe that side. And I just don’t think that there is any positive debate that can happen on, you know, social media when it comes to something like this. What I will say is I’m not a person that needs to repost a bunch of things on Instagram and post a bunch of a memes or links to stories because I like to handle it privately.
And what I will say is. For those that are feeling like I am and are feeling dismayed and are feeling helpless, there are a ton of things on Instagram and a ton of links that you can go, uh, to donate or help or resources that are going on in Minnesota. And those are the things that I look at and I choose to do them privately.
Like, that’s just the way I choose to live my life. If you were somebody that wants to put out all the links, that’s totally fine, certainly helping me. But because someone doesn’t post links, doesn’t mean they don’t care. Uh, because someone doesn’t talk about it daily, doesn’t mean they don’t care. Um, personally for me, it’s a personal choice for me because I know how it affects my mood and I know how it affects my attitude when I talk about stuff like this, and I just don’t want to do it.
It’s just not what this podcast is for and I think a lot of you come here just to listen to my silly Takes on Back to the Future and Lost and the Crazy Ass Man, uh, that climbed 101 story building this past Saturday night. But I have serious, serious. Empathy for what happened in Minnesota this weekend.
And, uh, the Preddy family, family and friends, obviously condolences go out to them. I hate the way everything has been handled. I don’t like what’s going on in this country, but to sit here and debate it and talk about it, it just, I feel like it goes nowhere and there’s no good discourse. So that’s why I stay away from it.
I handle it. In my own personal way, and that personal way does not need to be shared publicly. I have nothing against people who share it publicly, but I choose to personally handle it privately because I think that’s the best way for me, my mental health and going forward just how I choose to live my life, and I just wanted to put that out there.
No easy transition from that, but we will move on and discuss what happened on Friday. After the episode six of the traders aired. I recapped it. Great fun recap with Emily, Loretta, go check it out on my YouTube channel. But one of the things that we talked about obviously was Colton in all this, and I think Colton is probably being the loudest person on this show, which doesn’t bode well, I don’t think Colton has many episodes left.
But there is a way strategically to look at Colton and what he’s done to be like, well wait a second. He has just called out Lisa as a traitor in front of everybody. If the traitors just go back and murder Colton, then that’s going to pin it on Lisa. People will say like, wait a second, Colton just called her out and now he’s murdered.
So doesn’t that mean that Lisa has to keep Colton around? Now we know the next murder, which happens next week, is at the black banquet, and that has nothing to do with the. Traitors going into the turt and deciding who to murder. It’s whoever touches Lisa’s amulet first, and they’re murdered in plain sight.
Okay? But after that, if Clayton is the next one murdered, you know, you get to a situation where I think that kind of puts the spotlight on Lisa, doesn’t it? Lisa’s gotta feel, guys, I can’t murder him right now. He just called me out if I murder him. Isn’t it obvious that I’m a traitor? The other thing is I mentioned it in Friday’s recap.
I don’t know if a lot of you who have been following the show realized it, but this is the longest the original traitors have ever lasted on this show in the US version six episodes, none of the original traders are gone. Now, Donna Kelsey different. She wasn’t chosen by Alan. She was chosen by a random opening of a box.
But if we’re just going off the original traders that Alan chooses in the beginning of the show, none of them have ever lasted as long as Rob and Candace and Lisa have six episodes. So we gotta start thinking they’re going down fairly soon and. I think you, if you really wanna look into it and you really wanna look into a lot of the stuff that we talked about on Friday, one, I would say go listen to the YouTube video.
Go watch the YouTube video. I think what I might start doing actually is taking the audio from the Friday YouTube video and just posting it Friday afternoon, maybe 30 or 45 minutes after we record it. ’cause then I gotta upload it and label it and get it out on your podcast feed. So maybe it’ll be about an hour later.
And so you can just listen to it. ’cause I not, I know that not everybody wants to go to YouTube ’cause some people might not have YouTube premium and you don’t wanna sit through commercials. I get it. So I just wanna make that known. That for sure. Uh, I think I might start putting it out in just audio only Friday afternoon after we record.
Usually it’ll take me, you know, 30 minutes to an hour to do that. This podcast brought to you by Ollie. Now, with the weather just blowing through the Midwest and the East coast, we got it here in Dallas. It has been very, very cold. Cold enough to where while it did snow, it rained first and the weather was under 32 degrees.
So everything was icy. The roads were icy. I have not left my house since Thursday. Roads were too icy for me. And with that, what does that mean? Get to spend more time with my dog, Luca. I’ve switched to Ollie Food. Fresh human grade meals, real ingredients. Five. Slow cooked recipes, tastes like a warm, comforting meal.
But for dogs, you know how many Ollie meals she had this weekend. Pretty much all of them human grade recipes backed by vet nutritionists and crafted with culinary experts. Dogs love the taste. Even the pickiest eaters will show more excitement during mealtime. And for me, what the Ollie food has done changing up her meals from dry food to now human cooked human grade meals is her energy is up.
Hell, even with the weather this weekend. Luca had no problem going outside. She loved going outside and playing in the ice, in the snow.
