Chris actually did an Entertainment Weekly interview that went up yesterday morning, so I couldn’t even cover it in yesterday’s podcast.
We’re gonna discuss that. We’re also gonna talk a little bit about Brie and Connor and Chris. What happened at the very end of episode nine. We have a finally a launch date for. The Clayton Eckard, Laura Owens serial podcast that’s coming out and it’s not far away and yours truly will be part of it and maybe get to One Dancing With the Stars question that I have.
So let’s get started. Yesterday, obviously a big day had Anna Morgan Stern on the podcast, gave some great dating advice. Any of you in New York. Go check out her service. If not, go listen to the podcast if you’re still single and on the dating apps and whatnot. So we had that come out and I gave a lot of my thoughts to Anna.
We both did. On Love is Blind, but I didn’t do my Normal. Love is Blind. Thursday recap yesterday because I gave you the Anna interview. Oh God, I’m just mixing up so many people I’ve talked to this week. Not Anna Marta, I gave you the Marta IC interview. His ex Chris from BL is blind ex-girlfriend from last year.

But I wanna get to something before I talk about that. What happened yesterday? Chris did an interview with Entertainment Weekly. I thought this guy was just gonna disappear off the face of the earth, but he didn’t interview yesterday, obviously before my stuff with Marta came out. But. He did an interview with Entertainment Weekly, and they asked him the questions that everybody wanted to know.
Now there’s, I’m not gonna read you the whole interview, but when I read this interview, it just continues to confirm it. This guy just doesn’t get it. He doesn’t understand, I don’t know basic decency, diplomacy at all. First question they asked him, when did you start to realize you weren’t attracted to Jessica?
And he says interesting wording. I wouldn’t say I wasn’t attracted to her. I started realizing maybe we had certain lifestyle differences and things or preferences that I’ve had in the past become more relevant as we spent more time together. We had such a deep emotional connection in the pods, and it translated over into Mexico, I would say.
I started really feeling like maybe I should mention something or say something to her. Okay. They asked him. Well, in the breakup scene, you tell Jessica, you date women who do CrossFit and Pilates and work out every day, women with a different type of, and she finishes your sentences and says, different type of body.
What did you mean by that? He said, yeah, you know, looking back, I definitely would’ve expressed the words that came outta my mouth differently. I really just wanted to be completely honest with her about how I was feeling. I respect Jessica so much. Still, she’s an amazing person where I felt like I didn’t wanna make anything up.
Okay, so this is. That’s like the extent of, I mean, no apologies there, and they asked him, what do you think of how she reacted to your words? She had every reason to be upset. It’s just a hard thing to say. I really wasn’t trying to be hurtful. I really wasn’t trying to have any malicious intention behind it.
Okay. This is where I say this guy just doesn’t get it. How in the world do you think telling a woman to her face, not just any woman, not to some random hookup, your fiance. How do you think telling your fiance to her face that you only date women who work out all the time and do Pilates a lot, how do you expect her to take that?
Like either, Chris, you’re either the dumbest human on the planet or you just don’t know what to say? I actually am gonna think I’m gonna go with both and then. They asked him. I’m glad you brought up the term body shaming. Do you think that people will be wrong to interpret that conversation as you body shaming Jessica?
He said, I think people are gonna interpret it how they wanna interpret it, and they’re gonna have feelings about however they wanna feel. But that wasn’t my intention. I should have chosen my words differently, so I will agree with that again. Can you throw an an apology anywhere, anywhere? This is such the wrong approach for a guy who’s absolutely getting flamed on the internet.
He’s all anybody’s talking about On Love is Blind, okay? 95%. Some people are chiming in about Connor and Brie. Some people love Vic and Christine. But let’s be honest, when you looked at social media yesterday, it was nothing but people commenting about what a disgusting, misogynistic pig that Chris was.
Right. Skipping down to the end of the interview, this is actually a really good interview. Google Chris Fusco Entertainment Weekly, and you’ll see this interview pop up. This is the last question I’m gonna read from the interview they asked him At the mixer, the women said that you made an Instagram account just to post a photo at the strip club the night you and Jess broke up.
What’s the story there? His answer, I was single. And strip clubs aren’t illegal. Again, the guy doesn’t get it. The guy doesn’t have an empathetic bone. His body. How in the world do you answer it that way when you’ve had literally 10 months to sit on this? How about your answer to that question is horrible choice on my part.
I shouldn’t have done that. That was disrespectful. Remember, earlier in this interview, Chris, you said how you respect Jess so much. No, you don’t because that answer right there shows me you don’t respect her. If you would’ve said that the next day, okay, I would’ve understood it because you’re still a moron at that point.
You’ve had 10 months to sit on this, and they ask you about the strip club Instagram story you posted the day after you broke off your engagement and you’re like, Hey, I was single. Strip clubs aren’t illegal. That just proves to me the mental midget that you are and you don’t get a damn thing. I can’t believe he said that when he said 10 months to think about.
Posting that and what the reaction would be. How about your reaction is that was a horrible decision on my part. Yes. We’re very well aware. Strip clubs aren’t illegal. We’re very well aware you were single, but no thought or empathy whatsoever to, it was the day after you ended an engagement and maybe you shouldn’t be going to a strip club.
And celebrating the fact that you’re single. Not to mention, they said he had a stripper on his lap, and that’s what he put in his Instagram. Like if he wants to do that behind closed doors, fine. But the fact that he broadcasted it on his Instagram story shows what type of person he is and shows his intent behind putting that out there.
He wanted to hurt Jess. He wanted to let Jess see, and I’m sure she saw it, the other girls saw it. He wanted to let everybody know, look at me, dig me. Look at my life now.
