Now the other thing I want to get to is Traders episode 10 aired last night, and normally on Fridays I do a live recap of the Traders episode. I’m not gonna do that today because I’m behind on the Love is Blind Recap.
I never gave you my thoughts in on my YouTube channel for episode seven through nine. So I’m gonna do that today and I actually have a very hot take. You would think I’d have plenty of hot takes regarding Chris and Jessica. Especially after the MARTA interview, but I have a hot take regarding this Chris and Jessica situation that I haven’t heard anybody say.
And I’ll be saying that on the podcast today when I record later on today, when I go live, I definitely have some thoughts. Actually, I don’t even know if it’s gonna be live. It will go up at three o’clock Eastern time. I haven’t decided if I’m gonna do it live. Or record it in the morning and then just post it at three o’clock.
But I’ve realized something about this situation that nobody seems to be touching on as of yet because they are focusing clearly on what Chris said to Jessica. I only date women that work out and do Pilates three or four days a week. I think that might be missing the point. And I’ll tell you why I think that coming up later on today.
So that’s gonna be on my YouTube channel today at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. My thoughts on episode seven to nine of Love is Blind because I mean so much focus obviously on Chris and Jessica, but I wanna talk about Mike and Emma, these couples meeting the families. I really wanna talk about Vic and Christine.
You heard me say it yesterday with Anna Morgan Stern. I, I really want to emphasize how much we are rooting for these two and how much this is one of the more unbelievable reality TV show couples I’ve ever seen, especially in this franchise. The other thing I wanna talk about in regards to the episode that I know that at the end of the episode when the three women were talking to Chris at the bar, and then a couple of them left and it was just Chris and Bree.
And I gave you my thoughts yesterday on the podcast, if you really go back and watch it, that conversation was very, very heavily edited. And I, I, again, I wasn’t the editor, but having been around this genre for 17 years, 20 years, whatever that conversation, the way it came across on tv, and a lot of people are coming for Brie on this, and I get it based on the way it was edited.
But I think it wasn’t what everyone wants to make it out to be because they’re making it seem like Brie was eating up everything that Chris was saying to her. And she went on the virtual reality. She did an interview with virtual reality guys. There’s two guys that ask her a question. I’m just gonna play this clip for you.
And this is what Bree had to say about the conversation with Chris that basically ended episode nine.
Anything from this first batch of episodes that you want to clear up?
I mean, the whole Chris thing is like a hot mess. Express, let’s be honest. Like the rollercoaster of like I, he calls me like, oh, it was like I was dating a dude in the pods.
I’m like, dad, yeah, we were like growing out and then we’re like friends in Cabo, we’re talking about like double dates and then it goes full, like switch up and he is like, I wish it would’ve been you at the end. I’m like, wait, what? So I feel like. Me and him had a very solid friendship after we kind of broke things off.
And I think that as we’re talking in Cabo, it’s definitely friendly. It’s not really like entertaining each other romantically. And so as we get to the mixer in Columbus. I’m just having a conversation with him as a friend and hearing him out and what he’s going through as he just cut off his connection with Jess or called off the engagement.
And then all of a sudden he hits me with like, but like, what about you? I’m like, wait, what? Like. I didn’t, I thought we were on two different pages. And so I think I show up for him in a friendly way, and I don’t want it to be misconstrued that I was like entertaining him whatsoever from a romantic POV because it was like Connor bust, like that’s it.
So a lot of people are saying like, oh my God, these two probably hooked up. They totally hooked up and Brie’s loving this, that she’s getting more attention from him. Again. Again, I never saw it that way. If you go back and actually watch the clip, very, very spliced up because they like to focus on Brie when Chris is talking, but the camera’s behind Chris’s head and you can see his jaw moving and it’s not moving in sync with what the audio is portraying, so, so I’m just saying, I don’t know.
He clearly said those things, but I’m not convinced he said those to Bri in that moment. I think he might have said those to the dudes. And they took the stuff that he was saying to the guys and made it seem like he was saying it to Bree and then getting facial reactions from Bree. Again, I didn’t edit the show, I have no idea.
But when Bree says that, like I never even got the impression that Bree was even into him at the bar. Like she is 100% team Connor. And if you hear Connor in an interview that he did. I think it was Connor and Jordan and Alex did a, an interview that I saw, I saw a clip of that and Connor’s basically like, yeah, none of us talk to Chris anymore.
And he goes, yeah, it was disappointing to see that, very disrespectful that he did that. And so like, there’s nothing with Chris and Bree, but the show wants to make you think it is. Now granted when season, when episode 10 starts next Wednesday, they’re still gonna be showing us stuff that happened at the bar.
So maybe we will see. A different side of Brie, maybe she’ll confront him on it, whatever the case may be. I’m just saying what they showed at the end of episode nine, I don’t think, I think it was meant to stir up exactly what it’s stirring up on the internet. People thinking that Brie is into Chris and you know, people are mad at Brie for not shooting him down.
I’m just saying, I think the reason she didn’t shoot him down. Or the reason it wasn’t shown is ’cause they wanna make you think that there is something there and that Chris is gonna come in between Brie and Connor, which he doesn’t. But yeah. I’ve got so many thoughts on, on the other couples that we saw in episodes seven through nine.
I mean, how can you not, because I mean, I gave you a, a, a couple thoughts here and there. But you know, Alex and Ashley, I mean, Alex is just an absolute I mean, he should walk around with a mirror. I think the person he loves the most is himself. My gosh, this guy will not stop talking about himself, and I don’t, it’s very hard to believe any word that comes out of his mouth.
Hell, Ashley’s even Ashley’s dad even clocked him for being not totally honest. Ashley’s dad thinks he’s a liar. Then you’ve got Devonte and Brittany, and again, not a couple that we should have any hope for. Mike and Emma I think is more of a sad, tragic story, especially when Mike met her parents and her sister and it’s like, whoa.
There was some deep, deep conversation there. A little more in depth as to, you know, the people, believe it or not, a lot of people have been criticizing Emma this season. Why do you keep having to talk about this? Why are you doing this? Like, maybe this wasn’t the show for Emma to go on, but Emma seems to have made it clear from the pods, I am 50 50 on having kids.
Mike is not 50 50 on having kids. He’s 100% on having kids. Yet he proposed to her. But then he says, Hey, I’m willing to hear her out. I’m willing to, to be there and wait. But then in another breath he says, you know, if she doesn’t end up changing her mind, I don’t see how I can move forward. Okay? All the reason you shouldn’t have proposed to her.
I mean, you heard, you heard Anna on the podcast yesterday. She said, that’s not a reason to propose thinking you’re going to change her mind. Just these two aren’t compatible. And it, you know, spoiler alert. It’s been up a couple days. You don’t wanna know? Mute this podcast. 3, 2, 1. Is it really any surprise that I believe he rejects Emma at the altar?
Like I, we see this coming from a mile away. They’re planting the seeds of Emma isn’t sure if she wants kids, and she’s certainly allowed to have that thought process. And Mike was asked directly by Emma’s sister, could you see yourself not having kids? If Emma decides? And he’s like, no, can’t see myself that way.

Obviously something big on this podcast and the Dave Neil Podcast over the last couple years, it’s been the Clay l Necker and Laura Owens case, and I know a lot of you were into it in the beginning, but since it’s been going on for two years, yes, there are some diehards out there.
The JFC crew could have been following this daily, but a lot of you probably dropped out at some point because it just got to be too much. Totally understandable. Well, I told you about it. Dave has alluded to it. There was a podcast coming about this trial, and it’s gonna be like an investigative series.
It’s gonna be a 10 episode podcast, at least for season one. I don’t know if they’re doing a season two, but there’s gonna be a 10 episode podcast starting next week called Love Trapped. It’s being put out by iHeart Media, and the host of it is a woman by the name of Stephanie Young, who was a former on air radio personality and.
She interviewed me for this podcast. I wanna say back in July of last year, maybe August. So I don’t know if I was one of the first people she interviewed. I don’t know if I was in the middle or towards the end, but put it this way, this thing has been in the works for a while now, so I don’t think to do 10 episodes.
This is gonna be something that’s been thrown together. I know it hasn’t. I know it’s not something that’s been thrown together in the last, you know, month or so. It’s been at least six months. She’s been working on this probably longer and. Again, I haven’t, I haven’t gotten any sort of advanced copy to the 10 episodes.
I have no idea how much of my interview and my clips are gonna be in this thing, but she interviewed everybody. Just in the press release alone, it says, presented in a true investigative style. The series features exclusive interviews with special guests, including Eckerd’s, ex-girlfriend Susie Evans, members of his family media personalities such as reality, Steve and Dave Neil, another victim of the accused attorneys and many others.
The interview that I did back last July or August, I wanna say, was 90 minutes. I mean, she covered everything. Very thoroughly done, well researched. I mean, I hope my stuff is, is splattered throughout the 10 episodes. I don’t know if it’s gonna be like heavy on reality, Steve clips in one particular episode, or because I, I haven’t heard any advanced screening of this, but just know it’s called Love Trapped.
It’s gonna start next week. You’ll see me promote it. You’ll hear me talk about it on this podcast. And. It comes out next week. They’re gonna drop two episodes next week, February 26th is the first day it comes out, and they’re gonna drop the first two episodes and then after that one episode a week for the following eight weeks.
And I, I don’t know, maybe they are gonna do a season two. I guess a lot will depend on how this season goes and if people listen to it. But yeah, definitely check it out. I’ll be reminding you and I’m looking forward to this. Absolutely. We’ll be listening to this these 10 episodes. Even though I know the case, there’s probably gonna be stuff I love to hear.
I love to hear what Suzy says. I love to hear obviously what Dave says. The attorneys involved other media personalities. Megan Fox is part of this. I’m pretty sure. Well, I don’t know if Rachel Juarez is. I think she is, but I can’t remember. Anyway, go listen to it. Next week, February 26th, it drops. Next Thursday and it’s called Love Trapped.
And we’ll get two episodes next week. And finally, just a little small thing here on Dancing With the Stars, it just got me thinking about Dancing with the Stars ’cause we’re watching the Winter Olympics and we know, especially in Olympic years, when the fall season of Dancing With the Stars happens, we know they’re going to take somebody that was a name during this.
Olympics. Right. You know, during the Summer Olympics a couple years ago, they took the pommel horse guy, I’m already forgetting his name, the guy with the glasses who did really well and everybody loved him. So I haven’t watched a ton of a winner Olympics, to be honest. The only thing I’ve seen has been the men’s US hockey team.
I just can’t get into the Winter Olympics. It’s not, it’s not for me, but I see clips, I know the people’s names that are, that are winning things, and I’m just kinda wondering. I mean, I threw it out there. Remember during the Summer Olympics I said, I guarantee this guy with the glasses that’s on the gymnastics team will be asked to do Dancing with the Stars because they always choose somebody from the Olympics that aired that year.
It’s a given, and I said, that guy is totally gonna get it, and he did. Winter Olympics. I just haven’t watched enough of. I’m wondering who from this Winter Olympics, if not a couple people. Will end up being, I would’ve said it would’ve been that ice skater, the Illian guy from the US that was the huge favorite to win and he ended up in eighth place.
’cause he fell twice in his program. I would’ve said it would’ve been him. And he didn’t win. He didn’t even medal. He got eighth. We don’t want eighth place finishers on Dance with the Stars. So I don’t think it’s gonna be him anymore. Maybe. Maybe, I mean, this just happened yesterday. Maybe the girl who scored the winning goal for the US Women’s Hockey Team in overtime to win the gold medal, very much a possibility.
Could be her. I’m trying to think of what other US figure skater, you’d be like, well, figure skating. Well, they’ve had Kristi Yamaguchi on Paulo. Anton Ono was on, he wasn’t a figure skater, but he performed on ice as a speed skater. Isn’t there, isn’t there a, a figure skater? Yeah, I don’t, I don’t know. I don’t know enough, but just keep in mind, somebody from this Winter Olympics, if not a couple people will be on Dancing With the Stars.
I, I will throw out there the name of the girl. I wish I remember her name or I know the last name is Keller. I don’t know her first name, but she had an unbelievable move to Deke, to the defender. Then go five hole, I believe, on the goalie to score the game winning goal. I mean, the US women’s team was down one, nothing with two minutes left in the game and they pulled their goalie.
They got a six on five goal to tie it up, send it to overtime, and then this Keller girl scored in overtime with an incredible move. To win the gold medal. I mean, this is stuff that you, when you’re practicing in middle school and high school, this is the stuff you dream of to score the winning goal in overtime to win the gold medal for your country.
I gotta believe she’s gonna be up there, right? For people that will go on this show and be on Dance with the Stars, she’s gotta be one of them, or at least somebody from that team.
