Today we’re gonna talk a little bit about. A Vegas party. Again, it’s a reminder to people we’ve got three and a half months. I’m just gonna keep reminding people as much as I can because I just never know when people who are interested in coming to the party are listening to the podcast.
I don’t think a lot of you listen five days a week, so I understand I have to repeat myself, but it’s just the way it is. Patreon subscribers. I posted the reunion spoilers yesterday on my social media, and then I’m gonna talk about Paradise episode four. It’s not a major spoiler if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s just a plot point that has literally been bugging me for two days. So let’s get started. All right. First starting off. Reminder.
Like I said, it’s gonna happen a lot in these next few months. The reality. Steve 10th, annual fan appreciation Party happening June 13th, Saturday night in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. Open beer and wine bar the whole night. Food will be served. We’ll have a dj, probably have a photo booth. Dave Neil will be there.
Courtney Robertson will be there. Rachel Juarez will be there. It’s gonna be a fun night. You know, I have this party every year. It’s usually the first weekend in June. Had to push it back a week because for whatever reason, the first weekend in June had already been taken. So, we’re a week later than normal.
And to come to the party, it’s open to anybody. Anybody that wants to come. All you have to do. Is Venmo me or PayPal me or Zel me $40 And the names $40 a person and the names of everybody in your party that’s coming to the party. If you’re flying in, I just need a copy of your flight itinerary, just like I do every year.
If you’re driving in hotel reservation, if you’re a Vegas local just pay the $40 and that covers everything and it’ll be fun. Times had all around just like it has been the previous nine years. Now I don’t wanna say anything for sure. And this isn’t to put any pressure on anybody or, or whatever, but there is a good chance this might be the last year of the party.
I’m just putting it out there because the expenses of this are getting pretty high and. I just don’t know where. I think 10 is a nice round number to end it on. We’ve done it every year since 2015, outside of 2020 because of COVID, and then 2021 again because of COVID. Although we were set to have a party in 2021 and then we had to cancel because what was it?
Omicron, I already forget happened. But I don’t wanna say no, this is definitely the last year because if I come back, some people are like, oh, I wanna book it ’cause it’s the last year of the party. And then I come back next year and say, oh, we are gonna have it. I, I just don’t know. I’m just saying it’s possible.
I, I’m, I’m just running through so many scenarios in my head about what to do with this going forward, but this year we’re on 10th annual fan appreciation party that I throw for all you guys. For the support of the podcast throughout the years. So it’s just one night for us to celebrate, have a good time in Vegas.
I always like to make it in Vegas because there are other things to do. That weekend I understand that the party is, is a cool thing to do, but then you have other stuff you could do, make a weekend out of it or whatever. So Saturday night, June 13th, Mandalay Bay, inside Mandalay Bay is the House of Blues, and that’s where we’re gonna have it.

We have a live rewatch coming today, 3:00 PM Eastern Time. It is going to be. The pilot episode of Dawson’s Creek, you know, with the passing of James VanDerBeek within the last month. I knew at some point I was gonna have a VanDerBeek rewatch, figured we’d do it now. So at three o’clock Eastern time today, the pilot episode of Dawson’s Creek.
If you’ve never seen the show, I think this would be a good rewatch for you, even if you have, it’s an all time classic and just the fact that this show. For teenagers was a little bit ahead of its time because 15 and 16 year olds did not talk the way these kids talked yet. That’s what made it so unique.
The other thing is that I’m announcing today for Patreon subscribers. With all of you for the first time, secret Lives of Mormon wives leading into Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season.
Now it comes out on the 12th Taylor. Frankie Paul season starts on the 22nd. I don’t think I’m getting through 10 episodes in 10 days, but I will probably have a weekly rewatch. Of each episode of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. You also have to understand I’m not coming from a place of knowing anything about these people outside of what I read in headlines and whatnot.
I know obviously Whitney Levitt and watched her on Dance With the Stars, and then I know she went to Broadway. Obviously I know a little bit of Taylor, Frankie, Paul’s background, but I don’t know. I know the names of all these other women. I couldn’t tell you if I know any of their stories really. So. I think it’ll be fun to watch it and comment on what the hell I’m looking at, but that’s gonna start next week.
And maybe we do a live rewatch of episode one. The day it drops, I’ll just have to see. I’ll have to look look at a schedule and figure out how I’m gonna go about doing that. But that will just be exclusive to Patreon. It will not go on my YouTube channel and it will not go as in audio on my just straight audio.

Oh yeah, don’t forget tonight episode. Well, it’s the second week of Survivor, but I guess it’d be technically episode three, since they ran episodes one and two last week.
Again, I can’t tell you how excited I am for this. This is again, appointment television for me this season. I just think it’s so much easier to get into the early episodes of a survivor season when you know everybody that is playing. And I did read an interview with Jeff Probes recently where he said he thinks by season 55 they are gonna have a returnee season.
I don’t know if that means everybody on the show will be returning. Or maybe they’ll do a fans versus favorite season, but he said within the next five seasons, basically he said, we’re not gonna wait 10 seasons again to do some sort of returners. But he also didn’t say it would be a full season because you can’t have a full season of returnees in season 50 and have a full season of returnees before season 55.
If it were me personally, and obviously I have no television production experience whatsoever, but if it were me. He’s saying we’re gonna have a returnees season sometime before season 55. So that means sometime in the next five seasons I would go with fans versus favorites. I would make half the cast returnees so you can get a good amount of them that maybe were the last cuts from season 50, make them the returnees and then half the cast.
Fans now. I’m just not. I’m not for a whole season of returnees within the next five seasons. ’cause I think it diminishes it. Not that it will diminish 50, I think it’ll diminish, let’s say they do it in season 55. I just think that’s almost too quick of a turnaround to have a whole season of people who played before.
But I, maybe I’m wrong. Because I guarantee if they did do that, and let’s just say in season 55 they decided, Hey, let’s bring everybody back again. That maybe didn’t make the cut for 50. It’s not like I’m gonna sit here and say, oh, this sucks. I’m obviously, I’m still gonna watch every episode. I don’t know.
There’s just something about it where it seems like too soon. But if they did do it for 55, I wouldn’t want a bunch of people from 40 to 55 make up half the cast like they did for 50. I think they should bring back some legends from years past. But what we do know is Jeff said there will be some form of a returning season before season 55.
So I’m excited for that and everybody else should be too.
