Daily Roundup 3/6 – Love is Blind Recap Coming Earlier Today, Alex & Ashley Speak Out, Love Trapped Ep 3, Survivor, Ol’ Brit Brit Gets a DUI, and An Airline Trend I Had No Idea About

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Friday Good show heading into the weekend for you. I got an update on where was yesterday’s Love is, blind Recap. Well, it’s coming today and I’ll tell you when it’s gonna come out a little earlier than normal.

We’ve got an update from Alex and Ashley. I do cover it in the recap today, but I’ll give you a little teaser about it in today’s daily roundup, the Love Trap episode three podcast dropped yesterday. I have a note on Survivor, a tweet that I saw that I absolutely agree with. Oh. Oh. Brittany Spears.

Come on. Britt. Britt. DUI. Doesn’t look good. We’ll get into that. And then did you see what United Airlines is now requiring on their flights? Huh? This brings up a question from me. Let’s get started. Alright, yesterday I did not have a Love is Blind finale. Recap. Only because I pretty much recapped it in my conversation with Amy Lombardi yesterday.

So I wanted to give everybody 24 hours before I actually do a recap. And I do cover a lot of the same stuff in that podcast, but I do have some other things that I want to cover. It’s gonna come out, usually I release them at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. It’s gonna come out at noon Eastern time today. I’ve already recorded it so you can go check it out at noon Eastern Time today.

And I’ll have some clips for it up on my socials. But yeah, I just figured you heard me cover Love Is Blind in that hour conversation with Amy Lombardi yesterday, which was excellent. She was, as always a very, very good guest. I actually watched most of her interview on in my hometown podcast with Pascal and Jamie.

That was really good too. I mean, when you’re dealing with someone who is a 25 year couples therapist. Clearly they know what they’re talking about. And if you’ve actually gone to her website and looked at her stuff, she’s not cheap like she’s doing. And I think she said this the first time she was on the podcast with me.

She’s doing like two or three day seminars with people. I wouldn’t call them seminars, that was a bad word. But when she has a couple. She literally spends eight to 10 hours a day with them for two or three days straight. It’s not like, Hey, come in and sit on the couch for an hour and tell me your problems.

No, it’s a full blown session, a weekend with a couple, so excellent, excellent stuff. If you’re in the Chicago area and you’re having marital issues or couples issues, I’d hit her up so that love is Blind. Recap is coming today at noon Eastern time. And one of the things that I’m gonna cover in that recap is the Love is Blind website, which is tedom.com, and you’re just like, that is such a random name for Netflix shows to Dom, right?

Because all the Netflix shows Bridger Tin, stranger Things, night, agent K-Pop, demon Hunters, all the stuff that you wanna know about the Netflix shows is on Tedom. I’m like, huh, why is it to doom? And you realize, I mean, it took me a while to realize this, but that’s the sound your TV makes when you turn on Netflix, oom.

So they named their website to doom. Isn’t that just silly to me? It is. Now, if you type in to doom.com, it brings you to netflix.com/to doom, but that’s the name of their website, the very top tudo. I just get a kick outta that. I think it’s so silly and dumb. Anyway, so they did an interview after Wednesday’s wedding episode with Alex and Ashley, and Alex says this in regards to Ashley, basically.

Reading him the riot act at the altar. He said, so what people don’t know is I had a conversation with Ashley off camera the day before the wedding. I was like, Hey, we didn’t get there. But I thank you for being my partner through this. I really didn’t want her to get blindsided. It was a quick conversation, met with an okay.

I respect that from her, and that was that I was going into the ceremony thinking we were gonna be politely, just be like, Hey, it wasn’t it. Here’s the thing. When it comes to Alex. He doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt from me. Does that sound like a conversation Alex would have with Ashley? Hey, we didn’t get there, but I thank you for being my partner through this at any point through the season.

Did Alex ever talk like that? No, he didn’t. So it’s very easy for him to say now, huh? I wasn’t expecting that. We had agreed. Sorry. I don’t believe him. I’m very well aware that the Reality Receipts podcast is reporting that both agreed to say no, and Ashley surprised him with that. He did not know that was coming and that Ashley might have been seeing somebody from the second they got home in Ohio.

I guess we’ll find out more on the reunion show, but what I’m just saying is when Alex says that in this interview, Hey, we didn’t get there, but I thank you for being my partner through all this. I don’t believe for a second those words ever came out of his mouth. ’cause that’s not Alex. Based on everything they showed us this season, he certainly doesn’t talk that way.

So I get into that on the podcast and then I get into the other thing he said where he basically pulled a Chris, you know how we talked about in the past, Chris, it’s okay. I understand. Your whole thing is, hey, I just like to be honest, I just like to tell people the truth. Well, sometimes you gotta show a little bit of tact.

Alex said it in this interview. I hate this answer, but it’s honest. It’s the physical. Ashley was not the type of woman that I wanted physically, and I couldn’t get past that. I hate saying it, but it’s true. That’s just flat out rude to say to somebody that you were engaged to and somebody that you fucking gushed over nonstop until you didn’t.

You know, I, I just, this guy, man, I’m telling you Chris wasn’t around. Alex would’ve been literally one of the most hated men on this show in years because this guy just doesn’t get it. And you heard Amy say yesterday, just a total lack of self-reflection. This guy cannot look at himself and just be like, you know what?

Maybe I said that wrong. Maybe I handled that situation wrong. Everything he says, he either turns back on Ashley or he is like, no, I this great. I’m great. Soccer’s great. Just like playing goalie is the same as wedding day. This guy’s delusional. Did you catch episode three of the Love Trapped podcast that came out yesterday?

I did. I thought it was really good again, and it just shows you how diabolical Laura Owens was in the emails and text messages that she had sent to Clayton. Again, I don’t think there was anything crazy new. In episode three, if you’ve been following for a long time, but this is such a great refresher course of people who know the story, but never did a deep dive into anything.

It’s a really good depiction of what Clayton was going through and the fact that they’re reading you some of Laura’s emails to him. I mean, episode three focused on the, I want you to feel how tight I am email, which is just absurd to me, and. Not to mention how absurd it is, but it also makes her, again, a liar and a co total complete contradiction of what she claimed happened long after the fact when she realized she was spiraling, spi, spiraling, and things were going bad for her, and then she threw out the, oh yeah, he essayed me.

Really? Because afterwards you were literally begging him to have sex with you again. Do you really do that to people who essay you? Probably not, but that’s what I mean. She’s just grasping at straws at this point, and basically, if you’re following the timeline of that podcast, they’re only at the point where she just went public.

So the first three episodes are basically just covering from the night they had, they hooked up. Which I believe was May 20th till right around the time she went public in August or September of 2023. So we still got all the stuff coming up, depositions, the trial, so much stuff to get to. There’s gotta be a season two of this.

I could listen to this podcast. I need one episode a day. I mean, I’m, this is killing me that I gotta wait a week. I’m killing a lot of people. Like, damn it, we gotta wait a week. I wouldn’t care if they dropped the whole season. In one day. You know, I understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, but man, I wanna hear this whole thing right away.

I just wanna listen to it from episode one to episode 10 and just rip through it. But I get it. I get it.
