You know, I talked yesterday about Survivor and as great as an episode it was, and the stuff at the end with Devins and Christian pulling that two man act that they did to try and sneak a fake idol at tribal council.
That was greatness ’cause I wanna see how it plays out the rest of the season. The Ozzie and coach stuff was great. As I said, I was just a little bit disappointed because I just didn’t feel like Savannah did anything worthwhile to get eliminated. I understand someone’s gotta get voted out every episode.
I get it, but. I just hated the fact that she was eliminated and she was voted out because basically nobody knew who she was and they knew she was a former winner and that’s all they knew. And to them, that was just too dangerous. If you listen to her exit interviews yesterday, you can kind of read between the lines that Savannah understood she was behind the eight ball.
And she didn’t really stand a chance in that tribe. And there were a lot of pre-show alliances that she just wasn’t going to break. She couldn’t have broken it. She had just finished filming season 49 that she won two weeks earlier. Nobody knew who she was other than when she got to camp and told them, yeah, I won season 49.
They’re like, great big target on your back. So that’s what I mean, and, and this tweet that I saw yesterday. I’m gonna read it. It says, I’m loving Survivor 50, but the editing and storylines leading up to tribal council are frustrating. The strategic conversations are so spot on, but then the outcome is like the last two votes being unanimous.
This has to come down to pregame alliances, right? And yeah, the answer is, unfortunately it does. And when you have a returning season, you’re gonna have pre, pre-game alliances. There’s no way around it. There’s no way. You can’t have pre-game alliances. You’d be dumb as a returning contestant to not have some sort of pre-game alliance.
I know a lot of them did interviews. You heard them with Dalton, you heard them with Sharon Tharp, you heard them with Mike Bloom. Some of them were basically playing coy, like, oh, well I didn’t really talk to anybody. You know, here and there maybe a text checking in on people. These people were pre-gaming because if you can establish an alliance before you get out there, that’s huge.
The whole point of the game is to stay safe. The whole point of the game is not to have your name written down on the parchment. So if you can assure that by pre-gaming with somebody before you even get out there, of course that’s gonna help. I just stand by what I said yesterday. If we’re gonna have returnee season, let’s never, ever have what we’ve had in the situation with San Savannah and Rizzo, which is don’t bring people on who just played a season and that the other players in the game have never seen play because I think they have zero chance.
Don’t bring up Russell. That was a different time. It was over 10 years ago when that happened. Different game back then. Savannah stands no chance. I certainly don’t think Rizzo is winning Season 50. I don’t know if he’s going home early or what. I just don’t see him winning and I just think at some point it’s just very easy to vote out people you haven’t seen play.
You know, and that’s why Savanna got voted out. I understand that they were questioning that she might have an advantage, but the vote out was basically unanimous of, we don’t know how she plays, we don’t know anything about her. We know all about the rest of us in this tribe. We don’t know enough about her.
We gotta get her out. Let’s be honest, that was really the reason they voted her out. Yes, they can stand behind. Well, she might’ve had a advantage there, which she did. She had a block of vote, but that wasn’t the reason she was voted out. She was voted out because nobody knew who she was and she was a former winner.
And you can’t say, Hey, no former winner should be allowed on the show. They had, don’t have a chance to win. I don’t think you can say that because Sandra won it all, won it twice, and the second season that she played. It wasn’t an all winner season. You know, Tony’s won it twice, but the second season he played against all winners, so somebody was gonna be a two time winner.
So you just can’t say, oh, don’t invite any former winners on. Sandra was able to pull it off. I’m just saying don’t put people on. Who just finished filming a season, you bring ’em back two weeks later and nobody got to watch them play on tv. I think it’s just way too much of a disadvantage for those people, and they will immediately be targeted just like Savannah was, and probably like Rizzo will be.
Oh, Brittany Britney Spears arrested and taken into custody late Wednesday night. ’cause she was under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, suspicion of DUI 8:48 PM She was erratically speeding on the 1 0 1 freeway. They pulled her over. She showed signs of impairment after a series of field sobriety tests.
She was arrested and booked. She was let go yesterday morning. Court date is set for May 4th. A representative told people after spear’s arrest. Usually when you see something like this, even if it’s a DUI, which for the most part, not all of them, but for the most part, most DUIs are pretty straightforward.
This person was driving erratically. They were probably drinking or doing some sort of drugs. Okay. And the, and the lawyer for those people will come out, but usually just say, let all the facts play out. Before we rush to judgment, let everything play out, A representative told People Magazine of Brittany’s arrest.
This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Brittany’s gonna take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Brittany’s life.
The rep also said. He hopes that she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her boys are gonna be spending time with her. Her loved ones are gonna come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success, for wellbeing. Look, when we see Britney Spears on Instagram, I know people are saying, I mean, there is a faction of people out there that are absolutely like you.
Go girl. Finally on her own. No more conservatorship free, Britney. It’s been five years and this woman is still on Instagram, half naked, twirling around and doing spinaroonie on her Instagram story like that is not normal behavior. Say what you want. If you think I’m being too cruel to her, I’m not. I’ve always thought ever since that she started posting as a free woman, as free Britney on Instagram.
Something’s off. This isn’t normal behavior. You can’t tell me that. It is basically, now this is the, I mean, this is the first time in five years that I’ve heard someone on record. You read these stories where sources say people are worried about Britney behind the scenes. This is the first time I’ve heard anybody on record say, yeah, you know what?
Something needs to be put in place. Long overdue for a change and needs to occur in Brittany’s life. So basically confirming what the sources have been saying for years that something is off. She might be doing drugs again, but I mean, it was all right there. We can, none of us can be surprised, number one, that she got caught with A DUI and number two that we’re hearing now.
Things need to change. If you’ve looked at her Instagram at any point in the last five years. That’s not normal behavior for a mother. I don’t care if she’s free or not, and she’s out of the conservatorship. I understand that what she went through in that conservatorship was hell, but ever since she’s been free, she hasn’t elicited any bit of normal behavior.
It just facts or facts. And finally, did you see this United Airlines story? So.
I’ve told you, well, let me just read you the headline. Well, actually, this is the, the main point of the story. United Airlines now says, using headphones on the plane is no longer just considered proper etiquette. It’s now a requirement on United Airlines flights. United says, passengers who use speakers and refuse to wear headphones.
Could be removed from flights and even face a lifetime ban. The airline says travelers who don’t have headphones can request a free pair from flight attendants. Here’s my first question. I fly probably four to five times a year. I didn’t even know this was a thing. People watch stuff without headphones on the airplane.
I’ve. Look, I, I get, I’ve only fly five times a year, and it’s based on, you know, who I sit next to, to come up with this question that I have. But I’ve never sat next to somebody who just blasted their music with a mini speaker or out of their phone or watching a movie on their phone, and it was just the movie was playing and the sound was playing.
I’ve never encountered this. I didn’t even know this was a thing. The engine on the plane would drown that out, wouldn’t it? Unless you’re literally holding the phone up to your ear, the whole flight. I mean, shit, I thought it was bad. Well, remember we had this whole conversation about raw dogging on the flight.
No, not that raw dogging. The raw dogging of people on planes, cross country flights where you can’t write, you can’t watch tv, you can’t look at your phone. You just stare straight ahead for the whole flight. You can’t have anything to drink, you can’t have anything to eat. And people were doing this. First off, I didn’t.
I still, I never believed that to be true. There’s no way anybody does that. I’m never gonna be convinced unless you literally film the whole thing and send it to me. I’ll never be convinced anybody on a cross country flight. Just stares straight ahead and does nothing. You can’t sleep, you can’t do anything but stare straight ahead to the seat in front of you for the whole flight.
And people were doing this to try and, I don’t know, impress friends accomplish something. Again, I don’t believe it, but it was a thing going around apparently. This I think is almost more absurd. Who, who doesn’t wanna put their headphones in and listen to music or put their headphones in and watch? Tv.
Now, maybe if we’re dealing with children, I can maybe understand that you got a child that’s three or four years old and you have them in the tablet there. Maybe they’re not good with headphones yet. I could understand that, but I don’t, I’m getting the impression that’s who, not who United Airlines is talking about.
They’re talking about grown adults that are literally playing music out of their phone or watching a movie out of their phone or their iPad or their tablet. I, I had no idea this was a thing. So count me in to ban them forever from getting on a flight. That’s embarrassing. And you can say like, well, Steve, what if they don’t have air earplugs, AirPods, any sort of earphones?
Well United solve that. Here’s a free pair. I don’t care if you think they’re cheap or you don’t like them, you’re not playing your shit at volume 10 on a flight. Then again, some people take off their shoes during a flight. I, I don’t understand that at all either, man. The etiquette of some people, the fact that United Airlines did this, you can bet your ass that airlines, the other ones are gonna basically follow suit.
I can’t imagine just one airline is gonna do this. This seems to be a very smart thing to be doing for your travelers. Put some headphones on, dude. Quit blaring your music. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play.
