Daily Roundup 3/23 – More Taylor Frankie Paul Coverage from the Weekend, Old Podcast Clips Resurfacing, the New Hot Phrase in this Story, & Taylor’s Men Being Chirpy Online

So as I was saying. When the show released their statement saying, we are taking this bachelorette season off the air and we’re canceling it.

Did you read the wording in what they wrote? Because that’s key here. The video that was released on Thursday, three and a half minutes of Taylor abusing Dakota and putting their child in danger. That was the reason that they pulled the show. According to their statement, they said, quote, in light of the newly released video just surfaced Today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is supporting the family and quote.

So nothing to do with what happened three weeks ago, which we now have an update on because as of. What happened three weeks ago, the rumors of another attack, and we know that Dakota and Tate, the father of her other two kids, filed restraining orders against her and temporary custody. Well, she was granted, or excuse me, Dakota was granted temporary custody of ever on Friday and given a protective order, he will have temporary custody of ever.

A hearing is set for April 7th at which Taylor, Frankie Paul will be allowed to tell her side of the story in court. But until then, no parent time is allowed until the scheduled hearing. So Taylor, Frankie Paul does not have her child for the next two weeks yet we’re seeing her on social media all weekend long doing shit that’s like tailored.

Do you not care that you just lost your child for two weeks? She posts on Harry Josie’s Instagram story. Did I out crazy? The Harry Jie, is this a joke to her? I, I, I don’t understand somebody who literally just lost her child for at least two weeks and then she has to plead her case to the judge. And look, she might have the greatest case ever, and the judge might say.

Okay, this looks to be both of your faults, but something tells me there’s no way when that April 7th hearing happens that the judge is gonna be like, all right, go back to normal. Taylor, you get ever back just like before, like there has gotta be some change in custody because basically the judge made that decision off of the information he was given from what the incident of three weeks ago was this judge.

Now, he might have looked at that video that came out Thursday and said, wow, it’s worse than we thought. But this judge made this decision essentially on what was presented to him in regards to the incident from three weeks ago at the end of February, which now may be, I think, I guess four weeks ago now.

So this isn’t good for her and the fact that she’s all over social media this weekend making comments under people’s posts, calling Nick Vial, her hype man. What is this woman doing like is, is some PR person not doing their job because whoever’s in charge of her PR and is telling her how she should handle this is going about it all wrong.

This is a terrible look for her. What does she do? She’s lost ever her son for two weeks and she’s posting on Harry J’s Instagram story. Did I out Crazy? The Harry Jie. What another thing I wanna address. Is in regards to people defending Taylor, calling this a smear campaign, a smear campaign. A smear campaign means let’s throw a bunch of false info out there about somebody and just make it look like they did all this stuff when they didn’t.

A smear campaign would be spreading lies about Taylor, Frankie Paul, and getting people to believe those lies. You’re smearing her character. The video that was posted is a factual video of what happened that night. How are people calling this A smear campaign? A smear campaign in regards to a video would be as if somebody created an AI video of Taylor, Frankie Paul, attacking Dakota in front of their children.

That’s a smear campaign because that would be a lie. They made up a video. This isn’t a made up video. So again, the people calling this a smear campaign against her smear campaign is lies. That video wasn’t a lie. It’s factual evidence of what happened that night. But again, I understand she has got a shit ton of followers.

She’s got a shit ton of fans and they’re gonna do everything they can to defend her. But I think well clearly. They’re just not being objective. It’s okay to be objective. You could be an absolute feminist. You could be a raging feminist, but just because that is your stance and you’re always going to protect and defend women, to me that’s not being objective because in this particular case, I’m just talking about the video that night, it’s okay to say, you know what?

She was in the wrong that night. I don’t care what led up to it. I don’t care if he called her every name in the book. You shouldn’t be throwing chairs in a drunken rage at your child’s father. Now, here’s the one thing I do believe Taylor, Frankie Paul about in regards to that night, and I don’t think it’s really disputable.

I actually believe the fact that she didn’t know her kid was in the room. Because if you actually watch the three and a half minute video, not just the 45 second one that was condensed down by T-M-Z-T-M-Z has the full video, three and a half minutes out there that Dakota recorded that night. You can tell.

And if you heard her tell the story. I went out with the girls that night. I was drunk. I got in the car. He picked me up. I was very sad. I was depressed about my life, how everything was going in my life, and that sadness turned into rage. You can see when she walked in that room, just the angle of where she walked in, she would never see that her kid was on the couch.

So I believe her when she says that now it doesn’t still give her the right to chuck a bar stool at her baby daddy. I understand, like I’m fully understanding that she did not throw a bar stool at her child, but she threw a bar stool at her baby daddy. And essentially that bar stool deflected off him and may or may not have hit.

And it wasn’t even ever, I believe she said in the video it was India that was in the, that was on the couch. So my whole point being, you gotta look at everything objectively. Even if you’re the biggest, Taylor, Frankie Paul, Stan, I don’t understand why you just can’t admit that particular night and what you saw in the video was absolutely wrong by her.

And I do understand. I’m very well aware. Reactive abuse is absolutely a thing. Speak to enough women who have been in abusive relationships, they will say it absolutely is a thing. I’m not saying it is a thing, but I’m going by what came out of Taylor. Frankie Paul’s mouth on three different podcasts.

Months after the fact when she was sober, going on these podcasts, recalling the events of that night, she is very specific about what she says, and at no point did she say that night was because of what Dakota did. Now, if she’s protecting him and she’s covering for him, how am I supposed to know that?

How is anybody supposed to know that We read the police report? We then were given a video to show what happened after the fact. So I would just like people to be objective and yes, two things can be true. Reactive abuse is a thing. And what Taylor, Frankie Paul did that night was absolutely wrong and was criminal, and it’s why she was arrested.

But in this particular situation on that night, I don’t think that was reactive abuse. Other times, I’m sure there was. But that night, based on that video and what she said on podcasts months after the fact, when she could have said, you know what? That whole night was all on him. The other thing is, even if she did say that, we wouldn’t be able to take her out her word, because in the same podcast she was saying she was so blacked out that night, she couldn’t even recall details of what happened.

So how are we supposed to take anything? She said that night at face value. If you’re, if you’re actually looking at it objectively, the answer is you can’t. This podcast brought to you by Zocdoc. zocdoc.com/reality. Steve, thank you to Zocdoc for sponsoring today’s podcast. A couple things that I want to end with. On today’s podcast is obviously this is the biggest story going on in reality TV right now with the amount of entertainment sites that are covering this. News programs all over the nation are covering this ’cause it’s just something we haven’t seen before.

I mean, I cannot remember a network television show as big as this one, one that’s been on the air for 23 years that gets canceled. Three days before the Premier is supposed to air. I mean, that is just unheard of. I don’t think it’s ever happened in network television history and regarding a reality dating show.

With that said. That means it’s going to bring on a lot of people who don’t really follow the franchise. A lot of people who are content creators that just want to get clicks and are gonna cover this for clicks that haven’t ever really covered this show to begin with. I’ve seen a lot of ’em out there.

It is infuriating, but you can tell these people are coming from a place of, I don’t really know this show, but here’s my opinion. Look, you’re allowed to have an opinion. I would just be careful as you the viewer, as you, the consumer of all these people showing up on your social media. I would just be careful of who you’re listening to when these people are posting stuff.

Just know, is this someone that has covered the show for years? Is this someone that actually knows what they’re talking about? Like I’m just saying, it’s not to pat myself on the on my own back. Because I’m not just gonna do my own. I’m gonna do others. Myself, Dave Neil, she’s all Batch Game of Roses. We have been covering this show for years.

If Joe Blow is doing four or five videos a day on this now and has never talked about the show before, they’re just looking for clicks. They’re just looking for headline making stories and headline making reels that are gonna get people to talk. And unfortunately we live in a world now where those people are benefiting off of this and just glomming onto something that they really don’t watch and really have no idea about.

And yeah, it’s frustrating, but I’m gonna put out good content over the next few weeks covering this show, what it means in the grand scheme of things. I thought the interview and the talk with Chad and Lizzie that I posted on my YouTube on Thursday and then on my audio and my podcast feed on Friday was a really, really good talk because we did try and cover it from every angle.

Yeah. The importance of whether or not this show lives on and the whether or not the whole series is canceled. Yeah, while that’s not important right now, what is important is the health and the safety and security of her kids and the mental health of Taylor, Frankie Paul. We’re still gonna talk about certain things.

There’s really no great segue into going from, are these kids safe to, Hey, is this franchise canceled? We get it, but we’ve been covering this show for years. This is something that people watching certainly want to know about, and we’re gonna cover it. I’m gonna cover it as much as I can. Now, obviously, I don’t have a YouTube live to do every Sunday night when the show ends, which was what I was gonna do for Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season.

But I can guarantee there’s gonna be at least one topic every day on the daily Roundup for at least a few weeks. That’s gonna be about this particular case. There is so many things that are happening and so much stuff to cover. So I will cover it extensively because this is. What I do, this is my livelihood.

You know, for the last four or five months we haven’t really talked Bachelorette that much ’cause there wasn’t anything to talk about. And yet I was still putting out daily content, talking about other shows. And now you know, we did Love Is Blind and now Survivors on. And then Age of Attractions finale is gonna be Wednesday night, next week the Valley starts.

I’m gonna be doing a live YouTube show on the Valley on the next day. So that’s gonna be all stuff I’m going to be covering. Because we have less bachelorette now to deal with. But now that we know that there’s a hearing on April 7th, clearly we are going to be very well invested into what happens on April 7th?

Is the judge gonna throw her in jail? Is the judge gonna take ever away from her? Is Dakota gonna end up having more custody of ever than Taylor? Frankie Paul is like, we don’t know. That’s going to be a huge day in Bachelor Nation and a huge day. Clearly for her as a mother, and that’s why I think her just kind of gallivanting around and commenting on Instagram posts about this.

It’s like has somebody informed her, she’s lost her son for the next two weeks? Not saying she’s not allowed to be on the internet, but the stuff that she’s posting really doesn’t seem in line with a woman who has. Really come under fire since this video came out on Thursday, and then she releases the statement that she did, which put all the blame on Dakota.

She took zero accountability for it in that video. I know you’re gonna come at me with, she already took accountability for it. She pled guilty. She went to jail. I know that I’m saying, but once the video came out on Thursday, that’s basically like a whole new story because very few people had seen that video, and what I’m saying is when she released a statement, the statement should have been more like, that was the worst day of my life.

I. It was awful. I cannot believe that video got out there. I am embarrassed and ashamed and there’s nothing wrong with just saying that again, since this is the first time pretty much everyone in America is seeing this video, but it, the statement turned into, I’ve suffered years of abuse, and it’s like, look, I’m not disputing that.

You’re gonna have to prove that to a judge in court. I’m not disputing that ever happened. I’m not saying it did. I’m not saying it didn’t. I don’t know. But what I’m saying is when she released that statement, the day af, the day the video comes out, I was like, this is the wrong thing to say. Why wouldn’t you just say, that was the worst day of my life?

It was a low point. Hell, she explained herself way better in that two minute clip I played for you at the beginning of this podcast than she did. Now, three years later, like I could not believe that statement that she released on Thursday. But this thing is going to carry on. There’s probably gonna be a new story breaking every single day.

There’s so many angles to look at. I mean, look, you’ve got guys from the season that apparently are anonymously running to the media saying, we’re gonna sue the show. We’re going to, they put us in danger by casting her. Did they? Did they? To any of the guys that were on Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season, if you’re listening to this, I have one request for you.

Go read your contract. You ain’t suing shit. Good luck and there’s gonna be more where that came from. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now, so go check that out.

Again, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. And I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
