Daily Roundup 3/27 – Why Some of Bachelor Nation is Silent on Taylor Frankie Paul’s Situation, Angelina from Survivor Goes Scorched Earch on the Show’s Edit of Women, Love Trapped Episode #6 is a Doozy, & Age of Attraction Podcast from Yesterday

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in. On this Friday as we head into the weekend. Good show for you a little bit more In Bachelor Nation, Taylor, Frankie Paul, there’s one point, couple points and I wanna make regarding it.

Angelina from Survivor does her exit interview and she goes, scorched Earth on the survivor production team. Love trapped episode number. I believe it was five yesterday. It could be six. I’m forgetting, but another great episode, although yours truly was the first episode that I was not in yet. This was probably one of the best episodes because a lot of it was stuff.

None of us who had been following this for two and a half years has ever heard. Before. And then a little bit more on the age of attraction finale. Hope you caught my YouTube live yesterday with Anna Morgan Stern. Good stuff. It’ll be up in your podcast feed later on today. So considering everything that has come out since last Thursday, when the video footage from the 2023 incident between Taylor and Dakota came out, I would say yesterday was probably the most tamed day.

In terms of news regarding her? As far as I know, at least at the time of this recording, I didn’t see any new story that came out yesterday. Even if it was linked to something that happened in 2023, like, oh, something else was found out, or this was said back then. I don’t think anything really came out yesterday, but what I wanted to throw out there was interesting in regards to the Bachelor Nation content creators.

And I’m talking about people in Bachelor Nation, not people who cover Bachelor Nation like myself or Dave, or she’s all batch or game of Roses. I’m talking about the people within the franchise who have been on the show before. I’m kind of keeping an eye out for what people say and when they say it. And I have noticed that not as many people as I thought would be boisterous about.

A bad casting decision by them, and a B, C basically needs to reap what they sow now. And look, you can say what you want, but a part of it is Taylor. Frankie Paul is tremendously successful and tremendously popular, and she’s on literally the most popular Hulu show out there. So going after her, all guns blazing.

I know some people just don’t want to get on her bad side, so they give the, oh, just look. It’s sad for everyone involved, but there is criticism that she does need to receive. It’s constructive criticism though. I don’t expect anybody in Bachelor Nation to come out and call her names or anything like that.

No, and I think all the criticism that I’ve had of Taylor, Frankie Paul. Since last Thursday. Well, you can really go back to last September when she was named The Bachelorette, but last Thursday, since things got a little more real has been constructive, I think just saying, look, I think you need to lay low on the social media stuff unless you have brand deals that you have to put out.

I get that. But no need to comment on Harry Josie’s Instagram story. No need to put out there. Nick Vial is my hype man. No need to be liking things that people are saying about you. I mean, you’re embroiled in a very, very heavy situation with your son’s father right now, and you have lost any sort of visitation rights with your child until April 7th.

So. I think all the stuff that I have said about her has just been, Hey, maybe handle this a little bit differently. That statement that you put out wasn’t a very good one. You took zero accountability, and I understand some people, Steve 2023 happened. She already pled guilty by the way. Is it pleaded guilty or pled guilty?

’cause I feel like I’ve heard both. I even texted this to Rachel Juarez and she’s like, actually I don’t know. She goes, I say pled but pleaded isn’t wrong either. You pleaded guilty. You pled guilty either way, but that’s what people are saying. Steve, she pled guilty. She pleaded guilty. She’s already served her punishment.

Yes she did, but it has now resurfaced. None of us are saying, oh my gosh, we had no idea this happened. I mean, people who didn’t watch Secret Lives of Mormon wives and aren’t as up to date on what happened in Taylor, Frankie Paul’s past. Yeah, what got let out last Thursday, and that video being shown probably stunned some people.

And that probably led to a lot of what was she doing as the bachelorette? Why did they cast her in the first place? So yeah, there is probably a faction of the audience that says that because they didn’t follow her and didn’t know much about her. But again, that apology statement, not an apology statement, that statement that she released last Thursday.

Once the video got out, it was. Kind of contradictory to things that she had said in those podcasts talking about that event back in 2023. You know, this is a woman whose whole persona is online, whose whole persona is, I have no filter. I speak my mind, I tell you everything, warts and all. I will never be silenced.

And then what did her statements say? I’m tired of being silent about all this that has been happening to me, emotional and physical abuse for three years. I’m like, wait a second. You are the woman that is never silenced. You’re the woman that speaks her mind all the time and has no filter. And in your statement, hours after that video gets released, what we saw that you did to Dakota that night, now you’re saying, I will no longer stay in silence.

It’s just, I don’t know. That doesn’t, that doesn’t match up with who she is. I didn’t get it. Not to mention, as I said, she should have just gone with, she can still say, I’m looking to what I can do now because Dakota hasn’t been the greatest partner and he has done this to me emotionally, physically, and list the things that you have dealt with.

But that wasn’t the time to release that statement. Hours after. A lot of people saw you for three and a half minutes physically abusing your child’s father. That should have been like, that was the worst night of my life. I’m embarrassed. I’m ashamed. I will never live that down. I hate the fact that my daughter will have to grow up knowing that I did that one night, but it doesn’t define me.

I’ve gotten better since then. People who have watched season two and season three of Secret Lives have said she definitely improved in those seasons and everybody thought she was on the right path and then season four drops and she clearly wasn’t. So everyone that says, oh, she served her time, she’s gotten better.

She went to therapy. Well, apparently it’s not working because she’s still exhibiting the same behaviors that she did in season one. To me, nothing has changed. She maybe changed for a couple years. But knowing that this is a reality TV show, I have no idea if she was just doing that to try and repair an image that was given to her in the first episode of the first season.

It’s tough to know by all accounts. People who are huge fans of that show have said season two and season three, Taylor definitely improved. I’m like, okay, but season four she resorted back to what she did before. So. That’s why I just couldn’t believe that she took zero accountability in that statement last Thursday.

But I do find it interesting when it comes to the people in Bachelor Nation, former contestants who actually says this is wrong and what she did versus, you know, let’s have grace for everybody. You know, those answers are like, I don’t want to get involved. I don’t wanna say anything bad about her ’cause I don’t want to jump on her bad side.

’cause who knows what’ll happen. It’s happening out there. All you gotta do is pay attention to who is saying what. It’s okay to criticize Taylor, Frankie Paul. She’s not this person that just cannot be touched. You don’t criticize her by sending her death threats and calling her names and telling her what a horrible person and horrible mother she is.

No, you don’t do it that way. You can constructively criticize her though for her behavior since Thursday.
