Daily Roundup 3/30 – This Weeks Schedule, Bachelor Happy Hour Interviewing Taylor’s Men, American Idol, Paradise (No Spoilers), and a Death in the Back to the Future Family

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. Good show for you. Busy week. This week. I’ll tell you why. Tell you what the schedule’s gonna be like. This week we got some bachelor bachelorette related news to talk about.

The Bachelor Happy Hour podcast says, Hey, you’re gonna meet Taylor, Frankie Paul’s guys great. They’re probably not gonna say a whole hell of a lot, so I dunno why I’m supposed to get excited about this. They also say something on their podcast that I question, and not because I don’t believe it, I just, I need to define what exactly that they’re saying.

Some short thoughts on American Idol, and I have not talked about Paradise in a few episodes, but at the time you’re listening to this, or at the time I’m recording this, I haven’t watched the season finale and it comes out, I don’t know if you know this, it comes out at midnight on Sunday nights. So at the time I’m recording this, I have not watched it yet.

But I will say something about paradise and unfortunately some sad news we’ve got in the back to the future world. We have a death in the back to the future family, and we’ll get to all that right now. So I mentioned that there is a schedule this week that I’d say a little bit different only because I have my fantasy baseball draft this weekend.

Yes. That means I’m going outta town. I’m the only person in our league that doesn’t live in Southern California, so I’ll be going outta town for the weekend. And what I wanted to do was I’m gonna have, I have a few things that I are prerecorded, so here’s what they are. On Thursday, your weekly podcast will be with a woman named.

Pernicious kg, you know who she is. She is a woman on TikTok who bless her heart, dedicates a hell of a lot of time to actually listening to all of the Avaya files podcasts. Pretty much most of them. And let’s just say she is a Nick vial critic. You wanna call her a Nick vial hater? You can. She calls herself a Nick Vial hater, but she doesn’t just hate just to hate.

She tells you exactly where Nick and Natalie are so off base on all of their podcasts and breaks ’em all down for you. And I wanted to bring her on and she’s gonna be on the podcast this week. If you are a Patreon member at patreon.com/reality, Steve. This was posted last night for you, so pernicious kg.

She wants to keep her identity still hidden because now she lives in Spain. She’s from Australia, and it’s just crazy. I had no idea that nobody that she works with knows that she does this, even though she’s got 10,000 followers on TikTok. And she does a really good job. I’m not just having her on to shit on Nick.

I’m having her on because I think her stuff is really good because she’s doing something that most of us aren’t doing. In terms of the people that dislike Nick, we’re not taking the time to actually listen to Word for Word what he says. We see the clips and we can still realize how problematic some of the things that he says is KG.

Listens to all his stuff and then does recaps on it on her. TikTok account at pernicious kg, so she’s gonna be the Thursday podcast. The other thing coming on Friday, this will be a prerecorded, your daily roundup will be a prerecorded interview on Friday, because you know what starts on Wednesday? The Valley.

So the valley starts on Wednesday, and basically what I’m going to do every week is I’m gonna do an episode recap on Thursday, just like I did with. What was the show I did that came out on Wednesdays and I did a recap on Thursdays. Oh, love is Blind. I’m gonna do the same thing with the Valley and I’m doing it with a co-host.

Her name is Juliana DeStefano. She is a standup comedian, but she also is the producer of the Nia and Danny Podcast. Nia and Danny from the Valley. So she’s gonna co-host the podcast with me. We’re going to post it on Thursdays. Most of the time it’s going to be live on Thursday afternoon and just like love is blind, the audio will be posted as well in your podcast feed.

If you can’t check out the YouTube channel. But because I’m gonna be outta town on Thursday this week, and she’s gonna be outta town Thursday of next week, we’re just gonna record. And those will be recorded episodes that’ll air on Thursday, and then your daily roundup this week will be on Friday. The daily roundup will be the audio from Juliana and i’s.

Episode review of episode one of the Valley, which comes out on Wednesday. So you’ll have your regular daily Roundup on Thursday, then your weekly podcast, 4 89 with pernicious kg. That’ll come out at your normal time. 9:15 AM Eastern Time on Thursday morning, and then Friday’s daily Roundup will be the audio version of episode one.

Recap of the Valley with myself and Juliana de Stefano. Just wanted to give you an update on what to expect this week. Now, bachelor related news on Friday, the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, which is normally hosted by Rachel and Charity. Kathy Swartz filled in for Rachel this week and basically she and Charity announced that they are going to be interviewing the men from Taylor season.

On their podcast, you will only hear the men from Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. I believe the first guy that’s gonna be on is Christian. Whoops. I mean, Christopher, see how much I paid attention to these guys’ name. Anyway, Christopher made it to Final Six, and you know, they made it a point to say, Hey, you’re only gonna hear these guys here.

These guys aren’t, at least, I think they’re, maybe they’re saying they’re gonna be heard first there. I don’t know if this means that they’re. Never gonna go on Nick’s podcast and never gonna go on Almost famous and never gonna go on off the vine. I have no idea. But they said you will hear them first on the Bachelor happy hour podcast, which is fine.

However, I don’t really know exactly what this means in terms of what are these guys going to say? Are they gonna say, yeah, you didn’t see me, but I made Final Six and I got a one-on-one date in episode four and we did this. Like, it just seems like this is going to be almost like they’re intro videos, but except you’re gonna get a longer podcast interview and I highly doubt they’re gonna talk about what happened this season.

That doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. And I think what this shows me, and this is just my opinion here, I think what this shows me is that this franchise isn’t done. I don’t necessarily think this means we’re gonna see Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season at any point. Maybe it will put it this way. If Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season gets shown, it’s not getting shown on A, B, C, they’re not gonna carve out 12 weeks for a network show that they already decided to not show on the network.

I don’t even care if you wait six months and let the temperature die down on this whole story. You’re not gonna show it on A, B, C. If this season of Taylor, Frankie Paul ever gets out, it’ll be on a streamer and they’ll just dump all. The episodes at one time, I, I, and, and I still debate whether even that’s gonna happen, but if it does, it’s 1000% going to a streamer.

Because if you do it on network television, that means you’re basically saying, we are gonna run the season. This is gonna be our season that we run. And then you’re not gonna run a previous, you’re not gonna run a season that would take that place. You see what I’m saying? If that made any sense, like. If they’re gonna continue with the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchise, you’re basically pushing everything back.

If you’re gonna run Taylor, Frankie, Paul’s season on A, B, C, and I just, I don’t see that happening at all. But if you’re gonna give us these guys, why would we give a shit about these guys if the franchise is over? I think they know the franchise isn’t over. I think they’re still determining behind the scenes what exactly they need to do.

Are we gonna come back with a Bachelor in Paradise season? Are we coming back with another bachelorette season? If we do, is it gonna be an influencer? Is it gonna be a celebrity? Are we gonna go back to our old school style where we choose somebody from the franchise? Are we gonna go bachelor next? All that stuff needs to be answered, but I think in the meantime they’re just like, Hey, just so these guys don’t get completely screwed over, and you never see them ever.

Here they are. And it’ll be interesting. I’m sure it’s gonna be the top, you know, nine or 10 guys, maybe they’ll have a guy that gets eliminated early or whatnot. But I think this just goes to show this franchise isn’t over. And if you watched the interview with Michael Carroll on Thursday, he basically said it.

He’s like, why would you cancel it at this point? Why would a b, C cancel it? ’cause I’m sure the producers and the cast or the, the crew behind the show would love to produce more seasons. But why would a, b, C get rid of it now? Because the very next season that you show people are going to tune in ’cause they’re gonna be like, what did they do to change things?

Is this going to still be successful? So there’s so many reasons why the franchise stays alive. I just don’t think it’s gonna be Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season that ever airs on a, B, C.
