Podcast #336 – Interview with Suzana Somers, Creator of @BachelorData & @PopCultureData on IG

    2.6K

Once again joined by one of my favorite guests, Suzana Somers, who is the creator of @BachelorData on IG. She’s also started to build the @PopCultureData account on IG as well, focusing on other shows like Love is Blind, Selling Sunset, etc. A good talk with her regarding the popularity of Love is Blind and how Netflix knows how to push their shows on social media, much moreso than the Bachelor franchise does. How their contestants are gaining many more followers than anyone in Bachelor Nation and at a rapid pace, where the Bachelor shows are going wrong, and how Netflix really isn’t competing against the Bachelor anymore. It’s biggest competition is TikTok now. So many great topics to go over with Suzana, including a … Continue reading

Podcast #335 – Interview with Amanda Stanton

    3.3K

Once again, joined today by Amanda Stanton on the podcast, which I believe is the 3rd or 4th time she’s joined me. And you know what? Very little Bachelor talk and PLENTY of Taylor Swift talk. Also, as I mentioned on Monday’s “Daily Roundup,” the lyrics to that shows theme song “Rave Up (Shut Up)” are not anywhere on the internet. You can’t Google them, nor can you can get them by pressing … Continue reading

Podcast #334 – Interview with Cecily Knobler from “Rose Pricks” Reviewing “Pretty in Pink”

    2.9K

For the first time in 334 podcasts, we’re switching things up a bit. Yes, Cecily Knobler from the “Rose Pricks” podcast has joined us before (in podcast #320), but never before I have I done a movie review for the weekly podcast – until today. When I last appeared on the “Rose Pricks” podcast, Cecily and I realized we both had quite the infatuation with the movie “Pretty in Pink,” the mid-80’s movie directed by John Hughes. As you know (or maybe you don’t), both songs that open and close my two podcasts are from this movie, in the same scene actually, by the same band, the Rave Ups. “Rave Up (Shut Up)” is for the Daily Roundup, and “Positively Lost Me” is the music … Continue reading
