Well, we are now on to Tayshia’s season beginning tonight on the “Bachelorette.” Some of you have been waiting for this since the season started, some are indifferent, and some hate it. I’m certainly interested because I’m curious about the response once it all plays out. Granted, I know those that hated Clare, no matter how Tayshia’s season plays out even if it’s terrible, will admit to it. I think the producers are doing Tayshia a disservice and I’ll tell you why. The edit they gave Clare is almost putting Tayshia in a position where she has to “save” this season and, well, I just don’t think it’s gonna happen. Not that her season won’t be good, because that’s clearly subjective, but that she’s even being put in that position in the first place. They’ve built it up so much, they’ve teased it on end even though we all knew, so now everyone is expecting her to deliver some boffo rest of the season. And frankly, her season will pretty much be like all the others. It’s not like she’s going to reinvent the wheel here. She’ll have dates, give out roses, eliminate guys, there will be drama, guys will leave, then she’ll get to the end and she’ll have to make a decision. Let’s not make this out to be more than it is. There have been 16 women before her who have done the same thing. I don’t think it’ll be comparable to Clare’s no matter what happens just because Clare had 4 episodes and she had eyes for one. Tayshia will be a regular season where we get to know the others, she’ll have more dates, and she’s already admitted she fell in love with more than one guy. So yeah, “messy,” as I reported to you over a month ago. Let it begin.
As for what to expect tonight, this is a pretty straight forward episode and honestly, not a ton of major stuff happens since this is basically night 1 on any given season since she’s meeting guys for the first time, combined with a couple dates. What is interesting is something I’ll touch on after you read tonight’s spoilers. So here’s what you’ll see tonight:
-Tayshia arrives and talks to the 16 remaining guys for the first time. During the night, Chris Harrison brings in 4 new guys to join the cast, bringing the total number of her men to 20: Montel Hill, Noah Erb, Peter Giannikopoulos, and Spencer Robertson. Tayshia ends up canceling the rose ceremony because she wants more time to get to know everyone better.
-Tayshia gives Spencer her first impression rose.
-Then we get the sit down of Clare and Dale with Chris Harrison, but this was filmed back at La Quinta during the summer while they were still there, so there really isn’t much new uncovered here. They deny once again that they ever spoke before the show, as that horse keeps getting beaten into the ground.
What’s more newsworthy between these two is they’ve been active on social media ever since Thursday night, even going live after the episode. What we’ve learned is Dale and Clare have been house hunting in Sacramento, he’s planning on moving there soon, and they’re currently in South Dakota as she’s meeting his family for the first time. You can follow either of them on their IG pages as they are documenting their South Dakota trip.
-The Group Date tonight is a game of Splashball, which is basically just basketball in the water. There was a little rough housing between Spencer and Riley and they have a little beef at the after party. I guess you can consider that your drama for the night.
-But unfortunately, Eazy ends up getting the group date rose. Before you ask, the answer is “I don’t know.” I’ve told you for the last 2 weeks that a woman has spoken with NZK’s legal team (3 Friday’s ago) and spent 90 minutes with them with allegations against Eazy from her past. Since then, no outlet has picked up what I reported, and this show has done nothing to address it when it comes to the edit on the show. So I don’t know what to tell you other than I’m going to point it out every week that this continues to go unmentioned. One thing I will say is that hopefully this story will get reported soon somewhere other than my site. It’s possible.
-The 1-on-1 date went to Brendan Morais. Tayshia and Brendan go horse back riding then hang out at the pool. They bond over the fact that both of them have been divorced, they make out, and it’s evident that Tayshia is very into Brendan. Brendan gets the rose.
The episode ends with this date.
So here’s what I’m finding interesting and what will make Tayshia’s season different, and almost feel a bit rushed. No one goes home in this episode. So let me lay out what I know:
-Tayshia has 20 men left.
-The her finale and ATFR is Dec. 22nd from what I’m hearing.
-That gives us 6 episodes for Tayshia to go from 20 guys down to 1, and IF the Men Tell All gets its own Tuesday episode, then we really only have 5 episodes to get from 20 guys down to 1. Nov 17th, Nov. 24th, Dec. 1st, Dec. 8th, Dec. 15th, and Dec. 22nd are the only Tuesdays left in the season.
-For the sake of argument, since I don’t know what the MTA schedule is, lets just call it 6 episodes to give them the benefit of the doubt. Still? How is that going to happen?
For one, I think we’re going to have multiple episodes that have multiple rose ceremonies. We have to. I mean, on a non-COVID season, just going from final 4 down to final 1 takes 3 episodes itself. Now we’re supposed to go from 20 guys down to 1 in 6 episodes? Clearly the format is being thrown completely out of whack this season, so I gotta believe it’ll be sped along a bit faster.
Now the only thing unaccounted for is that maybe they will double up on episodes during a given week. I haven’t heard that yet, it certainly hasn’t been announced, but from what I do know, that’s not on the schedule. So basically time will tell here as to how this all plays out, but, expect kind of a “rushed” season of Tayshia’s considering where we are right now with 20 guys left and knowing where we have to get to in such a short period of time. Just thinking logically here.
