It’s that time of year again. Our bi-annual visit with our resident Survivor expert Stephen Fishbach to recap the “Survivor” finale last week. We usually have him on the week of the finale, but he went on family vacation last week and didn’t even watch the finale until this past Tuesday night. Which means we are the first podcast he’s talked about the season with, so extra special to get him on today and hear his insights on the finale we all saw last week. Definitely said some things on this pod that I hadn’t thought about yet so as always, he’s a great and insightful guests that makes you think. We get his take on Liz helping Kenzie at the final 5 challenge (which he definitely has a strong opinion on), Maria not voting for Charlie, the post-show social media shots the cast is taking at each other, and much more. Thanks to him for coming on again as he’s always one of my favorite guests.

DAILY ROUNDUP 5/30 TRANSCRIPT
You are listening to the daily roundup here as part of the reality. See podcast. I am your host reality. Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Thursday episode. Got a lot of things to cover here. Uh, what’s coming up in the weekly podcast. Laura Owens has decided to write a blog and give her thoughts on everything going on.
Oh, this is a goodie. Talk a little about being on Courtney Robertson’s podcast yesterday. The Vanderpump rules, executive producer speaks out in an interview with variety, or maybe it was the Hollywood reporter. Sorry. One of the two said some interesting things and there is rumors for traders season three cast.
We’ll look at those. We’ll get to all that momentarily. So I did want to start out by saying our weekly podcast, number 393, coming up in a couple hours is with Steven Fishback, our resident survivor expert who comes on at the end of every season. This one is a little bit different in that good news for us.
This is the first time you will hear his thoughts. On the survivor finale, because he was on vacation last week when the finale aired, we recorded this yesterday and he didn’t watch it until Tuesday night. He hadn’t watched it till the day before, had not recorded by the time we recorded yesterday, had not recorded his know it alls podcast.
So I don’t even know when that comes out, but I think ours is going to air before his know it alls podcast comes out. And he was really excited about sharing his thoughts because he had just seen the finale. Finale airs on Wednesday. I try to record with him that next morning and try to get it up a little bit later on Thursdays, or sometimes I wait a day because he can’t do it Thursday morning or record Thursday afternoon.
I put it up Friday just so it’s fresh in people’s mind because the finale had just aired Wednesday, but. Couldn’t do that this year. He was out of town and he just watched it Tuesday night. So he’s got a lot of thoughts. I think a lot of interesting thoughts made me question some things that I was thinking about regarding this finale.
But yeah, really, really good stuff, uh, from Steven Fishback. You know, if you listen to this podcast and I have him on at the end of every season, his biannual visits, he’s excellent when it comes to breaking down this show. So that’s coming up in a couple hours. Podcast number three 93. Yesterday, tweeted out and put on my Instagram story, or actually just put on the Instagram story.
Interview I did with Courtney Robertson on her after reality podcast. It was a lot of fun I talked about my love for 80s Madonna I Talked about the we spent about probably about 10 minutes in the beginning of the podcast talking about The Vegas party the fan appreciation party coming up next Friday in Las Vegas.
It is full Can’t accept any more people got people from all over the United States coming to this It’s a party I throw every year as a thank you to my readers and my listeners Because they’re the ones that keep reality steve. com and the reality see podcast going So why not throw a party once a year people ask me why do I throw it in Vegas?
And the reason is this there is a there is a reason not just because I like Vegas Obviously that plays a role But the main reason I throw it in Vegas is because it gives people something else to do If they’re going to come in from out of town, like I honestly think if I threw the party in Nashville or Dallas or, you know, whatever, I’m name any city while there’s other things to do in those cities.
I just think because the party is three hours. Most people are coming in for the weekend. They can make it a Vegas weekend. Whereas if I’m like, Hey, it’s going to be in Dallas. I don’t know. It’s just, I just feel like there’s other things to do. Not that there isn’t anything else to do in Dallas, but you know, it’s Vegas.
There’s plenty of things to do as opposed to if you just go to somebody’s city that you’re not familiar with, at least Vegas, just walking, even if you’re not familiar with Vegas, you just walk around and be entertained. So I’ve always just wanted to have it because the party is only only three hours long and usually people are coming new Thursday to Sunday, Friday to Sunday.
Some people are Thursday to Monday. And it just, I’m like, well, the party’s only three hours. I want them to come to a place where they can do plenty of other things other than come to my party. I’ve just always thought that Vegas was a good place to have it. So that’s why we have it there. It’s going to be there every year for the foreseeable future, barring another COVID happening.
Like we couldn’t do it in 2020, obviously we were set to do it in 2021. And then Vegas reinstalled the mask mandate. And I was just like, yeah, I don’t want to throw a party where we all have to wear masks. That kind of defeats the purpose. So took it off the table in August of 2021, but basically it’s in June.
I think one party of the seven that I’ve had already have been in July. Everyone else, every other party has been first month, first Friday in June. So. That’s the way it’s going to be this year, June 7th, changing up locations. We’re having it at a restaurant this time, instead of in my room next year, working on some bigger and better things.
More people can come. It’s still in its early stages. I’ll know more, you know, towards the end of 2024. So I don’t want to get anything set in stone yet, but just know I’m looking to make it even bigger next year. So keep that in mind for anybody who might be interested in coming to next year’s party. All right.
We got to talk about it. Laura Owens, who’s trial against Clayton Eckerd is coming up June 10th in Arizona. She. wrote a blog post, but it was under her lawyer’s blog. So her lawyer just said, Hey, Laura wanted to say some stuff. I didn’t tell her to, I didn’t edit it. This is her words and her story. And I mean, look, if you’ve been following this case, you’re probably well aware of what she wrote yesterday and.
It’s so long. I’m not going to read you the whole thing clearly, but it is a pity party. And this is exactly what I expect from Laura. When she takes to social media to say anything about this case, she speaks in generalizations. She doesn’t address any specifics and she tells a bunch of half truths because anybody that’s reading this for the first time, I’d be like, wow, this woman’s been through a lot, but she doesn’t share.
The reasons why things are happening in her case, she just says, Oh my gosh, look at the internet hates me. And it’s like, yeah, because they’re on to your, they’re onto your tricks. A lot of what you have said has been disproven. She doesn’t address any of the things that Dave Neal has been proving wrong and proving to be lies that she has said.
She doesn’t address any of that stuff. She just speaks. Like I said, in generalizations, I’ll even read you one of the things she says. So, um, let me just, let me just set the mood here. Okay.
Yes, I have lied before. I’m not proud of it. I’ve made mistakes that haunt me. That I deeply regret. But those mistakes don’t define me. I know who I am, and I know my heart. Despite what they say, despite the avalanche of hateful comments and relentless accusations, I’m not the monster they paint me to be.
And here’s the thing. I’ve never lied about being pregnant. I’ve never lied about being abused. Isn’t that what this is all about? Just because I didn’t actively seek medical care during my pregnancy, doesn’t mean I wasn’t pregnant. I was lost, confused, and scared. I didn’t know what to do. Uhhhhhh
Okay. Look. When you start out a paragraph saying, Yes, I have lied before, I’m not proud of it, I’ve made mistakes that haunt me that I deeply regret but those mistakes don’t define me. You talk about mistakes? Yeah, you’ve probably made mistakes. Maybe you left your car keys in your car. Maybe you locked yourself out of your house one time.
This is what I mean when she, when I say she doesn’t tell the full truth about anything mistakes. You lied and completely fabricated a sonogram label. That’s not a mistake. That’s fraud. This is what I mean. Here’s another thing that an emailer pointed out. And I think this is just telling, but this is typical Laura, you know, Laura has taken to social media a couple of times.
It’s been a while since she’s done anything publicly because. She knows she gets so much hate for it, but back on December 7th, she wrote a blog for medium and she said this, she was talking about Dave and Dave’s coverage of her. She said over the last few months, I’ve often questioned, actually, you know what?
Can we set the mood for this? Sorry, we’re back to this over the last few months. I’ve often questioned what is the allure of a 33 year old woman confirmed to be pregnant three times. To him and his audience. How much more content can he create? And how much more can I take? Although I’d be more than entitled to file a defamation lawsuit against Dave, I have no desire to have my life drained by the legal system, and simply want him to stop and remove the videos.
Okay. This is what she wrote in her blog yesterday. I’m not a murderer! I’m a 34 year old woman who has been pregnant FOUR TIMES! Had two miscarriages and two abortions. Why is that so hard to believe? Why are people obsessed with making the entire city, no, the entire world, never comes into contact with me, making me undateable?
Holy shit. Did she order a cake for this pity party? Did people come over to this? Did she provide party hats? Ice cream? You realize, I just read a blog post from December 7th, where this woman said, What is the allure of a 33 year old woman confirmed to be pregnant three times? To him and his audience.
Then in a blog post yesterday, posted on her lawyer’s blog, she said, I’m a 34 year old woman who has been pregnant four times. Had two miscarriages and two abortions. Why is that so hard to believe? We’ll get to the second question in a second. Which one is it, Laura? You’ve been pregnant three times.
You’ve been pregnant four times. You’re forgetting already. And look, I’m sure there’s going to be another answer as to why she said three times on December 7th and then said four times on May 29th, it’ll be another excuse. Trust me. This is what she does. This is her game. She floods the zone with a bunch of crap and just hopes you forget all the Just absolute inconsistencies in her timeline that have happened ever since she and Clayton hooked up May 20th of 2023.
Why is this so hard to believe? Oh, I don’t know. Because in a blog post, you admitted you have lied before. And by the way, your lawyer has also admitted you did doctor the sonogram. And we’re supposed to believe it because you were lost, confused, and scared. That’s why you did the things that you did. Lost, confused, and scared.
On your fourth pregnancy, you were lost, confused, and scared. And scared. So you just change things around on a sonogram. Okay. Okay. Well, that’s fine. Right? Like perfectly fine. You’re allowed to do that, right? That’s there’s no problem with that whatsoever. This is what I mean. I mean, this is what she does.
It’s laughable at this point. Her lawyer has lost every, basically every motion that he has filed against the court. As I said, when I last spoke about this for a really long time back, I think in January or February. And even in my last email I sent to her, which was on January 4th, that was the last contact I ever had with Laura Owens, January 4th of this year, it was after back and forth emails where I would ask her specific questions and she would answer in generalities and never get around to any specifics.
This is before we found out so much more stuff since then, but I responded with the way you twist everything to fit your narrative is beyond embarrassing. Your email was a joke. You were never pregnant. You never address any specific questions about it. And we all know the truth, zero remorse for what you’ve done to the legal system and to Clayton’s life.
I suspect nothing less from a professional con artist. So I’ll just let the Arizona courts take it from here. Can’t wait to hear the final results of all this. Good luck. You’re going to need it. Steve. That’s what I wrote her on January 4th. Last I’ve ever had any contact with her. So January, June 10th is the trial.
And at that point, just like I said, on January 4th, I’ll let the Arizona courts take it from here. I have a good feeling based on everything that I’ve been reading online and everything that judge Mata has been handing down, got a really good feeling. Of course, they are playing the card of look, I’m going to tell you right now, how this is going to play out.
If they lose this case, they’re already flooding the zone with crap. And they’re basically going to say their, her stance is going to be, cause she can never admit that she’s wrong. And her lawyer can never admit he’s lost anything in his life. They’re going to say, well, this is, you know, essentially it’s going to be, well, this is one person’s opinion, a judge.
Just because a judge says she’s guilty of all this stuff doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true and we’re going to appeal it. So nothing’s over yet. So when they were already throwing out the fact that they’re going to appeal all this, cause I think they already know what’s coming. That’s my guess. They have an idea, but they’re going to appeal it.
So again, even after June 10th, I don’t know. I mean, myself, Dave, everyone else who covers it will be able to say, we have a verdict now. This is what a judge ruled against her. She’ll throw all this crap against the wall. The lawyer will do what he does and do the song and dance and say this and say that and pretend like, Oh, well, it’s not over yet.
We got to appeal. Go ahead. I think once we hear what happens on June 10th, it’ll be a lot of, uh, Uh, ways to talk about this case where we’re a lot more, you know, like I said, definitive here based on everything that has been uncovered about her and her past and what she’s done even in this Clayton case that I think the, the judge sees for herself and we’ll just let it play out on June 10th.
But man, I almost feel like Laura Owens should do a blog post every day. I want her to do a blog post every day. You know why? Because all she keeps doing is incriminating herself and changing her timelines. She doesn’t even remember how many times she’s been pregnant. December 7th, she was pregnant three times, according to a blog post on medium, which is still there.
I read directly from it. Then on the blog posts on her lawyer’s blog yesterday, she said she’s been pregnant four times. Not even six months have passed since her last blog post. And she doesn’t remember how many times she’s been pregnant. And she was specific pregnant four times on yesterday’s blog posts, pregnant four times, two abortions, two miscarriages.
How come she didn’t know that in December when she wrote the blog post?
