You are listening to the daily roundup here as part of the reality podcast. I’m your host reality. Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Tuesday. We are going to recap some of what you saw last night, episode two of the Bachelorette. Also going to talk a little bit more about the story from yesterday regarding Sam McKinney and his exes.

And yesterday, the revelation of the 16 house guests on Big Brother, which starts on Wednesday night. Got some information on that. We now know the twist that’s going to happen on Wednesday. I believe it’s got to be on the second night since we know we’re only getting eight people introduced on Wednesday and then the other eight people getting introduced on Thursday.

So we’re going to go over all that momentarily. So I wanted to start out just giving you my thoughts on last night’s episode, the first half of the podcast, we’ll be covering that. And then I’ll have my thoughts as well on reality, steve. com today go check that out along with, you know, some of the things I also bring up today in regards to the Sam McKinney story from yesterday, I have a screenshot of something that was posted months ago, which kind of confirms what I had said about Sam McKinney knowing he wasn’t going to last towards the end till the end of the season.

He couldn’t, he knew it and producers knew it. It’s out there on social media and I’ve had a screenshot for three months. Now, I don’t know if you go to that, if you’ll actually see it, we’ll get to that in the second half of this podcast. So last night was clearly a very interesting episode because while it didn’t portray Devin in the greatest of lights, Jen clearly sided with him all episode, so did some of the other guys.

And I bring this up every single season now, and this one is another perfect example. Within the context of the show, is Devin the villain? Yes. Of how this sh how this show defines a villain, basically anybody who gets under the skin of other people in any of the other contestants. That’s clearly Devin.

However, There are levels of villainy. We know this. Devin is not Chad Johnson. Devin is not Kelsey Poe. Devin is more along the lines of he’s like the male Maria. He’s like the male Courtney Robertson, where they’re just overly confident. I mean, here he is in episode two talking about that’s my woman. I’m going to marry her.

It’s like, okay, that’s a little bit over the top, but it doesn’t make him a horrible person. Just makes him the talk of the show. Like everybody’s going to be talking about his behavior last night. Personally, I find it obnoxious. I think he’s loud. I think he’s obnoxious, but I don’t really, it doesn’t bother me all that much.

I’m just like, whatever. This is the way he is. And some of the guys respect it. And some of the guys don’t, when you’re in a house with 17 other guys, there’s no way that that personality that Devin has is going to rub everybody the right way, just doesn’t some guys don’t seem to care. Like John Mitchell almost put it best at the end.

He’s just like, Hey, this is who he is. I just think he, I can’t remember the exact line, but he basically said, this is who he is. I just basically think he’s a jerk the way he goes about it. You know? So I kind of feel the same way. I’m just like, I guess, respect for being who he is. It’s not like he’s being fake.

Do I find it annoying? A little bit. It’s obnoxious. I find him a little loud, obnoxious. He’s not for me, but he’s clearly for Jen. Because she defended him all night long and she’s not the least bit bothered by anything he said or did. Aaron certainly is. Thomas certainly is. And Sam certainly is. Those are the three most outspoken guys against Devin.

So we know they’re not team Devin and I’m sure it’ll rage on all season. Like we already know this is how Devin is. This is his personality, but he’s basically in episode two talking about, he knows he’s got a connection. This is how he’s going to be. You’re all going to be at my wedding. I’m going to. You know, when jet over, it’s really no different.

It’s the male version of all the things that Courtney Robertson was saying on her season. She was just super confident, but within the context of that show of this show, does that mean they’re a villain? Yes. In the context of this show, as we know, so many different levels of villainy. If anything, I thought Aaron herb came across way worse than Devin last night.

I mean, come on, how many times on a group date have we seen somebody steal time from the lead? Cassidy Timbrooks did it on Clayton’s season, and she got a group date, Rose. So, Devin didn’t do anything that we haven’t seen done numerous times already on this show. He pulled her aside and he got her ice cream.

Big deal. I cannot believe Aaron Erb, who had a brother who went on this show, was that bothered by it. And he was really bothered by it. It was just so ridiculous. Aaron, I thought came across terrible. Devin is who he is. Aaron came across and, you know, giving the guy a book clearly that was all production induced and you know, to pull them aside again and just tell him you’re not emotionally intelligent.

Here’s a book on it. Essentially. It’s like, come on. It’s just, it’s so much. It did nothing. We saw last night is something we is nothing. We haven’t seen numerous times in previous seasons. It just isn’t. And to me, it’s almost just a non story. Devin didn’t do anything wrong last night. Nothing. He’s a loud person.

He openly admits that. We knew that last week. He said it. When he introduced himself. I’m a loud guy. So all he’s doing is being himself. He’s being loud I don’t particularly care for it, but I’m just saying this is who he is and he hasn’t changed at all So there are people out there that watch the show last night who absolutely can’t stand Devin I’ve already gotten some emails about it.

Like oh my god, how have they ever made the villain the winner before? Yeah, they have Vienna was a villain Courtney was the villain within the context of this show You And they want, so this isn’t a first. And some people are like, what’s wrong with what he did. He wanted Jen. He wanted to stick out. It’s very hard to stick out on this show.

You got to make yourself and got to make a name for yourself. You got to make yourself known. He stuck out all he’s giving all his attention to Jen. He’s not there for the other guys. We’ve heard that how many times before in previous seasons, I’m not here to make friends. I’m not here to buddy up to the guys I’m here for Jen.

So you can’t fault him for that. His approach isn’t the greatest. Just because he’s super loud, but it’s not like he’s doing it just for the cameras, because this is how we know he is. So this seems like it’s going to go on all season long. And you know, I, I just, I feel like we’re going to be repeating the same storyline every single episode.

Some guys like Thomas, like Sam, they have the biggest problems with Devin. I’m probably going to see that all season long. And some guys are like, yeah, this is who he is. I’ll accept it. The whole thing about the eight guys coming back from the safari photoshoot, him saying, he never said, I’m going to let you, I’m going to go, I’m going to let you guys go first.

He said, I’ll respect your time. He didn’t lay it out for all of them. He took her away first. So then they all had their time after him. And we only saw about four guys get their time with him. Her, maybe more guys did, but the only thing we saw was about four of them.

It is what it is. This is what you can expect all season long. Devin is going to be the most polarizing figure to the viewing audience. 1000 percent because I think it’s probably going to be 50 50. Cause I got plenty of emails last night and messages sent to me saying, I can’t believe this guy, she picks this guy.

He’s so annoying. And I got other people saying, I didn’t see what he did. That was all so bad last night. So, you know, he’s not for me, but. I’m not the one making the decision. It’s Jen. This is what she likes. This is what she likes. Oh, it’s not gonna affect my life Shouldn’t affect everybody else’s either.

I would just be like this is the way it is But just know it’s coming. We got about nine more episodes of this. I don’t think Tevin. I don’t think Devin is toning down his attitude and His brashness anytime soon when in episode 2 he’s talking about his wedding to Jen It’s just his personality. And this isn’t some sort of I’m defending Devin.

Like I said, I don’t really care for him. I don’t, not my cup of tea, but my opinion doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter if I don’t like them matters of Jen likes her or not. And she clearly stuck up for him when Thomas came and pulled Devin away from Jen to talk to him in front of Jen and never even excused himself.

Never even said, sorry, Jen. Just a bad move by Thomas. And we know, look, the thing is, we already know the outcome. We already know what’s happening here. So I don’t know after this episode, if we need to really dissect this all season long of who’s right and who’s wrong, Devin’s going to do this probably every episode.

I don’t know if there even is a right or wrong when Jen is clearly going to side with Devin in almost everything, considering how far he lasts on this show. So. It’s popcorn ready with that because that’s what’s coming. Mark has had the one on one date. He told his story about being an army Ranger, brought himself got himself very emotional, not surprising there.

And then the safari date, I tell you one guy I do like, I like Dylan, man, that guy just seems smooth and it’s more my approach. It’s more my approach. I like how he handled himself. And I like how Grant handled himself on the first group date. I just think those guys are smooth. I don’t like Devin’s approach.

It’s not for me, but it doesn’t matter if it’s for me. It doesn’t matter if it’s for you. It’s what Jen likes. So we all have to adhere to Jen’s needs and this is what she wants. By all means, this is what she gets, but Brant, Dylan, those guys are smooth. Really like their approach and can see why both of them last.

Now, I will say one thing I got wrong, the ending of this episode, Rose ceremony eliminations. I had Brian mixed up with Hakeem. I wish they would have shown Hakeem on the racing date in earlier promos, because that would have obviously solved that. So, on the racing date next week, it is Austin, Jeremy, Aaron, and Hakeem, not Brian.

So Brian went home this episode, Hakeem goes home next episode. This podcast brought to you by Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
