The Bachelorette 21- Jenn

Podcast #405 – Interview with Psychologist, Dr. Diane Strachowski (Including Transcripts)

Joined this week by another frequent guest on the podcast, psychologist Dr. Diane Strachowski. She joins me to talk about Jenn’s season, how she’s been as a lead, Sam M., Monday’s four hometown dates, Grant upcoming as the “Bachelor,” Joan’s season of the “Golden Bachelorette” and much, much more. Before that, some discussion about this Sunday’s livestream, Tucker’s chaotic game play on Big Brother, The Challenge, & much, much more. I also have a mini spoiler on Joan’s season of the “Golden Bachelorette” that I talk about in the open and hopefully I’ll have more to give on this Sunday’s livestream. Hoping to get that confirmed in the next few days. Remember, today’s podcast with Dr. Diane can also be seen on my YouTube channel like every Thursday weekly podcast. DAILY ROUNDUP 8/22 TRANSCRIPT

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I am your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Thursday. Good show for you today. I’m going to talk about what’s coming up in a couple hours from now. Podcast number four Oh five. We’re also going to discuss big brother last night.

The challenge we had our first eight eliminations. There was a little twist at the end. We don’t really know exactly what it means yet, but it keeps eliminated people having some impact on the game. I might have your golden bachelorette spoiler any day now, I can tell you this. I do have one of the final four eliminations and what happened or what the elimination is.

So we will get to that. Got a lot of stuff to get to and we’ll get to all that momentarily. So let’s start out with this. As I mentioned yesterday, podcast number 405 is going to be with Dr. Diane Strakowski, psychologist. She will be coming on in a couple hours or it’ll be released in a couple hours. You can watch it.

On my YouTube channel, it’ll hit my YouTube channel at 9 15 a. m. Eastern time. Exactly. If you go at nine 15 and watch it at any point during that hour, you can participate in the live chat. If you can’t participate in the live chat, leave a comment, like it. Really appreciate it. If you do that, otherwise it’ll be in your Apple podcast feed right around the same time, nine 15.

Eastern time this morning, good chat with Dr. Diane and we discuss Monday’s episode, what she thinks of Jen as the bachelorette. We go over each of the four hometown dates, her thoughts on each guy. We talk a little bit about grant. We do talk a little bit about the golden bachelorette. She’s really looking forward to that.

So a good talk with Dr. Diane Schakowsky. It’s been a while since she’s been on. So definitely wanted to have her on to discuss this and a really good chat today. So check that out on Apple podcasts and Spotify and my YouTube channel, reality, Steve on YouTube. You can watch the video of us chatting. You can see what t shirt does Steve have on this week?

I told you I’m wearing a new t shirt for every single YouTube video that I do. You can be like, Steve, after a while, you’re going to run out, right? Well, it’s going to be a while because I’m putting a new one on every day. I’m keeping them in my notes of which one I’ve worn. I have not repeated an outfit yet.

Outfit meaning t shirt. I have not repeated yet. And trust me, I’ve got plenty more where these came from today’s t shirt that you’ll see on the episode four or five. A reference to the office. So you’ll like that one anyway, check that out. 9 15 AM Eastern time. The next thing I want to talk about is this gambling podcast or live stream.

I keep calling it a podcast. It’s going to be a live stream and it’s going to be Sunday’s live stream. By the way, I just got a text and I usually have my phone on vibrate. Oops. Anyway. It’s going to be a live stream and it’s going to be on Sunday night. I was thinking of maybe doing it Friday, but you know what I said?

You know what? Let’s just do it Sunday night. I’ve already got three people that are going to come on and ask questions. I will have some graphics to show you. We are going to mostly discuss football. What’s a. Point spread. What’s a money line. What’s a teaser. What’s a parlay. Any questions you have, no question is too dumb.

I will do my best to slowly explain what it is you’re looking at when you look at gambling. And then we’ll talk about baseball as well, since that’s going on right now. And. Any other things that people questions that people have. I really think that people are going to have a lot of questions that as they’re watching me explain, we’ll say, but what about this?

I think the biggest thing you need to know when it comes to sports gambling, and this isn’t going to talk about blackjack or craps or anything like that. This is straight sports gambling because it’s now approved in 38 of the 50 states. And within three to five years, I would think that every state is going to approve sports gambling because it makes too much money and why would states turned down Money, you know, aren’t we in a, you know, inflation that I don’t, we need more money going around.

So whatever the case may be, I think people are going to have some questions. I will fill them in. I’ll do my best to answer them. But like I said, no question too dumb. And I understand, I think the biggest thing you need to understand when it comes to sports gambling is it’s very math based. So if you’re not good at math, I understand that maybe you’re not going to pick up on it right away, but we’re not dealing with major numbers either, and it’s not like you really need to divide anything.

It’s more a simple addition and subtraction really. So don’t let it be intimidating. You know, I tell everybody that I introduced to craps. Look, when you look at a craps table, if you have no idea what’s going on. Yeah, it’s very intimidating. There’s just so much stuff on that board. You’re like, how can you possibly understand this?

But they’re all different games within the game of craps. When you look at a craps board, there is one basic game of craps. That’s very easy to understand. Now, granted craps has a little more math involved. There’s multiplication there. There’s fractions there. There’s odds, and it’s just different than sports gambling, but.

Don’t be intimidated by craps. We’re not going to go over craps cause that would be way, that would take way too long, uh, definitely to go over. So we’re never, we’re not going to go over that on Sunday’s live stream, but I already have three people that said they were interested in coming on and then I’ll be taking questions in the comment section.

So even if you don’t want to come on camera, join us. 8 p. m. Eastern time, Sunday night, regular time of the live stream. I will be discussing some Bachelor stuff first, and Bachelor Nation stories and anything like that, and then we’ll get into the gambling aspect of it. But, also, check it out, and if you want to participate, but not be on camera, all you gotta do, ask a question in the comments section, and I’ll pull it up.

And we can, we can do that as well. So let’s discuss Big Brother last night. Obviously, we’ve already discussed the spoilers of it, you already knew what happened, that Tucker won, power of veto, he used it on Quinn, put up Chelsea, and his target is Brooklyn. It’s just, again, what Tucker’s doing is really weird to me because he’s very, very impulsive.

He tells Quinn, look, you’re not my target. You’re gonna be the pawn. But then he tells Cam and Brooklyn, hey, you guys know who my target is. It’s Quinn. Did he not think that Quinn and or Brooklyn and Cam were gonna speak to each other and say, wait, Tucker told me this. He told you that? Well, he told me this.

Maybe that was Tucker’s plan all along, but he basically told Quinn, look, you don’t say anything. You’re the pawn. I’m not putting you up. You don’t say anything and I won’t and I’ll use, I’ll save you. I’ll use the power of veto on you if I win it. Or this is after he won it, yeah. And so Quinn goes and tells Brooklyn.

And then Tucker kind of flies off the handle. And is like, I told you bro. Gunning for you for two weeks and doing this. And then Quinn has the wherewithal to go, you know what? I did screw up. He told me not to say anything and I did now I want to get on his good side I’m just gonna out the collective and I’m gonna out the Pentagon Alliances and that’ll get me on Tucker’s good side, which is exactly what he did He told them about the collective even though Tucker seemed to kind of already know about it But he was basically confirming it and that earned him points in Tucker’s eyes And he also told him, you know, taking me off the block.

Thank you, man. If I get up there, I’m not putting you up. But then he goes in the diary room and says, I’m absolutely putting him up if I get a chance to. But that’s what I mean with Tucker. He’s just like one minute he’s flipping out on somebody. The next minute he’s giving him the power of veto, even after the guy did something that he told him not to do, but he forgave him and gave him the power of veto because he helped him with the collective and the Pentagon, which Tucker seemed to already know because chemo told him.

So that’s what I mean. I mean, if anything, that’s going to get Tucker out of this game is his just temper, his hotheadedness, his impulsiveness, where he just has to constantly be playing the game at all times. He’s in a very cush position right now. Assuming sixth Avenue doesn’t turn on him. He’s in the majority Alliance.

So why is he got a game play and do all this stuff and call people out? And I just don’t think he’s a very good social player. However, as I’ve been saying all week, his resume is so much better than everyone else’s. I don’t think if you were to grade him on a one to 10 on his social game, probably around a one or two right now, I still don’t think that’s going to outweigh how dominant of a player he is.

And I do think that maybe six cents. Sixth Avenue will eventually turn on him and just say, look, we are never going to beat this guy. If he gets to the end, we have to try and get him out. I just can’t imagine everybody cowering to him and just being like, you’re our leader, Tucker, show us the way. I mean, Angela is absolutely his ride or die.

They’ve said it to each other numerous times. They’ve talked about, I mean, Angela’s married, so they’ve said something about a showmance between them, but I think they were just kidding. At least I hope they were. I’m sure Angela’s husband, if she is married, I think she is. Uh, he’s probably not thrilled that she was even joking about.

We could give the viewers what they want. We could be a power couple, whatever. The thing being is I just think his impulsivity. Is eventually what might get him kicked out of this game. I’m just surprised that everybody in the house isn’t seeing it. I mean, they all know he’s the best comp player, but maybe they’re just waiting.

Maybe they think it’s too early to take a shot at him now. Maybe they let him, I mean, I guess if I were in that position right now, four people are gone, none of them are Tucker. I guess if I were in that position and I was on sixth Avenue, I would lull Tucker into a false sense of security that like, man, you’re the man, Tucker.

Let’s do this. Let’s go to final two. Let’s go to final three. I mean, I think he’s got a final two with Angela and a final two with Joseph. So, he’s just lying to people, but maybe lull him into a false sense of security, and then spring it on him. I guess it all depends. It depends on who wins HOH next week.

If it’s somebody from Sixth Sense, then Tucker’s not going anywhere. I doubt they would turn on him this quickly. But, he’s got such a resume right now, I think people need to start thinking ahead. Like, okay, yes we’re in Sixth Sense with him, we’re bonded, the six of us, we’re good to go. They got to turn on him before final three or four, because he’s going to win those last few comps, if not numerous ones before those.
