Also, the thing that really got people riled up was. Either he’s dumb or he knew exactly what he was doing. There’s no in between on this because in that 13 minutes, he showed a bunch of screenshots of text messages between him and Jen. Now I say he’s either dumb or he knew exactly what he was doing because two that were screenshot and sent to me.
Involved very sexual messages that Jen sent to him that were very private in nature, which I guarantee she didn’t approve. And she wouldn’t have approved of if he asked her, right? I don’t need to repeat what she said in those, but they were very, they were sex between Devin and Jen. Although it was just Jen side saying it, Devin never sexted back.
He approved of what she said, but he never said anything sexual back to her. It was her saying two sexual things in screenshots that were sent to me. Okay. That were from his video that people just took the time. Like, that’s what I say. Was he dumb? Did he not think he knows bachelor nation by now they are going to dissect everything.
So of course they were going to play that video and pause it every time a new screenshot of a text message conversation between the two of them came up and they were going to dissect every single one of them. So that’s what I’m saying. Was he dumb to not think that people were going to see that? Or was this a calculated thing to get it out there to show that Jen was into him?
It’s like, yeah, we knew Jen was into you, Devin. That’s the whole point. She was totally into you and she’s been telling us he never gave it back in return. So. I don’t know if that was some sort of burn. Hell, it’s bordering on revenge porn. I don’t know if there’s something legally there. I have no idea.
Maybe there is, maybe there isn’t. But, for him, you could say, well, maybe he didn’t see those texts and he glossed over it. The problem is, other screenshots of the text clearly showed that he took the time to black out certain portions of the conversation. So while he’s showing a screenshot of these texts that are going by at warp speed, he doesn’t even explain to us what they’re about, but yet not giving us context and he’s taking the time to black out certain things.
What if those are important? What if those are incriminating himself? But yet he’s only saying, Oh, here’s my side of the story. Well, we’re not getting your side of the story. If you’re not showing us the full text messages. So what was the point? And like I said, he never really broke down any of the text messages outside of one, but he had all of them like running in a row, like I said, at very fast warp speed.
So it was just all very confusing. And then he leaves two of them in there that exposed two sexual comments that Jen made to him. Look, I’m not a prude. They were in a sexual relationship. They were an engaged couple. I’m assuming they sexted each other. I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is him posting those.
Why? Now, there were a couple people that messaged me and said, Well, how can you not approve of Devin revealing text messages he had with Jen when you approved of Blake revealing the text messages he had with Kalen? I will answer that because it’s a very simple answer. When Blake revealed his text messages that he had with Kalen pre bachelor in paradise, he posted them to refute allegations that were made against him on the show.
The show said, he’s doing this. Kalen accused him of doing this. And he said, no, I didn’t. And here’s the proof that I didn’t. Devin just ran a bunch of screenshots of text message conversations without going into any detail and any context behind it. So they are completely different. You cannot compare what Blake Horseman did with Kalen’s texts to what Devin did yesterday with Jen’s texts.
I’m sorry. They are not the same, not even close. Devin didn’t say, Hey, Jen did this. Jen said this. Here’s the text to refute what she said, outside of one, which was he showed us a text that he said was three hours before the after the final rose, where she had said, We’re friends. We’re good. There’s always love there.
I’ll always support you. So we got that that’s new. And then she went on stage and ripped him a new one, but everything else that people are taking screenshots of that’s like, wait a second, this doesn’t make any sense. So what did Devin do? He took down his video, reposted it. And took out one of the two sexual texts and put an apology on his Instagram story that said, I deeply am sorry.
I deeply am so sorry for showing sensitive information from the bottom of my heart. That was not my intention. My only intention is to show the relationship from my perspective. I gained nothing from that text conversation being shown. Okay. Then why did you show it? I promise you that that was a mistake.
I tried to sensor out sensor spelled S E N S O R. I tried to censor out all personal, sensitive information. I honestly missed this one and fucked up. I know there’s no words that can make this better, but I can ensure that there was no intent to show that text. I hope you can please find it in your hearts to forgive me.
Devin, why are you telling this to the public? That should have been directed directly to Jen. Jen is who you need to apologize for, for revealing a text that she didn’t give you the right to show. And she’s probably embarrassed it was out there and it’s now out there attributed to her. You need to apologize to her.
What are you apologizing to us for? That’s what I mean. This guy’s lost. He just doesn’t get it. He’s completely living in a alternate reality. Like I said, there’s a lot of similarities. Look, Devin isn’t a criminal, as far as I know, he hasn’t done anything criminal here, he just seems to be a bad boyfriend and a bad guy who conned Jen during this relationship.
He’s not Laura Owens. Laura Owens, in my mind, has done things that she can be criminally prosecuted for and she’s being investigated as we speak. Devin’s not going to be investigated for anything that he posted on Instagram yesterday. He’s just trying to tell his story. Okay. He didn’t do a great job of it is what I’m saying, but there’s just a lot of similarities between just the way he’s handling it and the way he doesn’t seem to get it the same way Laura Owens doesn’t seem to get it.
Laura Owens gets mad at people for covering a public case and says, because people are covering it, that’s why it’s made it worse. It’s like, no, you made it worse by initially going to the press about it. And then when the press covered it negatively. And you got negative pushback for how you presented yourself in this case, then you had an issue.
You didn’t have an issue going to the press, but once the press wasn’t on your side, then it all becomes everyone is against me. I’m being bullied and all this just zero accountability there. And I can’t say Devin has had the most accountability here either. He put that up. He put that Instagram apology up and then he on his Instagram story and then he deleted it.
So I don’t even know where that is. I’m clueless. So again, there’s so many things wrong with this. I don’t know if he thought 13 minute videos were going to all of a sudden turn America in his favor by the reaction, by reading the comments under the video, he made it worse for himself, obviously the people that are supporting him, his friends think it was the greatest video ever.
And they’re kind of taking the Sam McKinney family and friend approach, which is, you don’t know, Devin. He’s a great guy, you only know one side of the story, blah, blah, blah. Well, I’m just telling you, that 13 minute video yesterday didn’t clear anything up for me. I don’t even know what the point of it was.
I understand he’s saying, I want to tell my side, but he needs to be a little more descriptive. He needs to be a little more from the heart, because you could tell when the video started, he was clearly reading from a script that was off camera. So, it’s just very insincere. I don’t understand what the hell this guy was doing.
The whole thing was very confusing. The litany of screenshots about their relationship and just sharing private messages between, I’m not even talking about the sexual ones, just the other ones, which I didn’t go through all of them. I only, I only covered the ones that were sent to me. Oh, and by the way.
Good to find out that Devin is a fan of reality. Steve, because he one of the messages he had with, with Jen was about me. So she said to him, and this is just a screenshot. There’s no context here again. She said, so you’re not sleeping. You’re reading reality, Steve. And he wrote, no, I’m sleeping. I just got a text from, and then everything else under that is blacked out.
And then when the next thing we see him say is just finished, something else is blacked out. All your exes were there. Oh, so you hate me. I have no idea what any of that meant in terms of context because he provided none of it, but people saw my name and when they were going through it, sent it to me. And now we know reality, Steve is bedtime material for Devon.
That was great. Everything else, it just, I have no problem with him defending himself. Don’t get me wrong. He’s allowed to make a video. I thought it would come in podcast form. He would go on Nick’s podcast. Maybe he’s still going to go on Nick’s podcast. I don’t know, but this was his response to everything that’s been happening and everything people have been saying about him for the last few days.
That’s fine. I have no problem him making a video. I just wish the video would have actually cleared anything up and it didn’t. It was just very convoluted with a bunch of screenshots that were just flying by the screen. And him giving no explanation as to why he’s showing these or what they were. I mean, you guys were in a relationship from when the time the show ended until around August 1st, I believe is when Jen said he broke up with her over the phone.
But how does you know, how do you not hear all, he obviously heard all the criticism for the last few days. He started his video by saying everyone’s, I understand everyone’s very upset with me, but then he never addressed the things that people are upset with him about. At least to me, the main things. So like I said today at 11 o’clock a.
m. Go on Dave Neal’s YouTube channel if you can We’re gonna be doing a live and going over a lot of these text messages We’re not going to go over the text messages of the sexual comments that Jen made to him. Those were obviously private We don’t need to go over those. We’re gonna go over the other ones because I haven’t gone through it I just was like, I don’t I don’t want to go through this.
Like it’s just too much, but Dave and I are going to go over it today. He’s got them all lined up and I’m like, if you want to do it, fine. I’ll pop on your live and we can go over it. And then that will be so obviously 11 o’clock AM. If you have jobs, you’re not gonna be able to watch this. I’m assuming. So that’s why it’s going to be my weekly podcast tomorrow.

You know, charity officially confirmed it, but they’ve put their wedding on pause, not because they’re breaking up or they’re having issues. It’s just, she’s overwhelmed right now and she feels a lot of pressure. You could kind of sense from Dotton when he was at, when I asked him the question about where are you guys at with wedding planning and he kind of said, look, we’re just enjoying each other.
Everyone wants to have a date and all that. Well, charity officially said, Wedding planning is on pause, but not because the relationship is any sort of trouble and in trouble. And I believe her just because I listened to Dotton and what he said last week. And at no point when Dotton was giving his answer, I was like, Oh no, they’re in trouble.
No, I just figured this seems normal. They’re just overwhelmed right now and they don’t need to be going through. They just moved to Brooklyn and they don’t need to be going through all this if they don’t want to just, we’ll get to it when we get to it, we’re going, she even said yesterday in her statement, you know, when she did a podcast, I believe with an interview with us weekly, she said, look, the marriage, the wedding’s going to happen.
We just have put it on pause in terms of the planning part. So I believe her when she says that maybe I’m a dumb one, but after hearing Dotton and then hearing charity say that I believe them. So, so many other things to cover. Maybe we’ll get to that tomorrow, but anyway, again, 11 a. m. on Dave Neal’s YouTube channel today.
