I said in the open, we’re going to have a little perfume slash cologne talk. Let’s start with the cologne talk because this yes, was a headline on us weekly yesterday.
Jen Tran says Sasha Farber’s cologne reminded her of former bachelorette contestant, Sam McKinney. Boy must’ve been a slow day in us weekly world. Well, I mean, Jen did do a tick tock. She said today, Sasha and I went to Sephora and he went to his own cologne aisle and I went to my perfume aisle and then we were dancing earlier in the living room and I suddenly, I was getting all these flashbacks of the bachelorette and I was like, what is going on?
And then I realized the scent that he was wearing was so familiar. And I was like, did you try new cologne? And he was like, yes, I was like, oh my God, I’m sniffing Sam M right now. Isn’t that crazy? How like a cologne or smell can just bring you back to a certain period of time, because I was like, that smells really familiar.
Okay. You get the point. Whatever cologne he was wearing smelled like Sam M. Great, but yes, I agree with her that absolutely colognes or smells can bring you back to a certain period of time because Not that anybody really wears it over the age of 21 anymore, but if I were to ever come across Kar Noir, I would immediately, it would transport me back to high school because I literally showered in that shit in high school trying to impress the ladies.
But then again, every kid in high school, when I was in high school, war Jaar noir and wore it with authority. I mean, I’ll be honest, I had the Jcar Noir cologne, I had the Jcar Noir. Hair gel, hair shampoo. I have a Jakar Noir aftershave. It was bad. Like I was a walking billboard for Jakar Noir and I wouldn’t be caught dead with that stuff.
Now, although I mean, it’s not like it’s smell has changed in 30 years, but still a good smelling cologne. It’s just, I don’t need to be wearing it as an almost 50 year old. You know what I’m saying? So, but yeah, Jakar Noir, that was, that was the thing. And I guess whatever Sam M wore is now worn by Sasha.
The other thing I saw, and now I can’t find the story, was Us Weekly did like, it might have been one of those promotional posts, saying that Taylor Swift, it said like, See what perfume Taylor Swift wears. And I tried to find it, but I couldn’t. And the only thing that popped up was back at the MTV movie awards earlier this year, back in September, she was being interviewed by one of the drag Queens from RuPaul’s drag race, drag race.
And they, and they said to her, you smell so good. What is that? And she said, Oh, thank you. It’s Tom Ford. Well, then everyone started freaking out is what is Taylor wear? And they figured out it was centile blush. By Tom Ford, but I was trying to find the particular article because that wasn’t the one that I had read that she wore.
So I just Googled us weekly Taylor Swift perfume, and I found this generic article where at the end of the article, and after it talks about all of Taylor Swift’s accolades, it says Taylor Swift wears Abercrombie eight, Britney Spears, fantasy, Estee Lauder, bronze goddess. Michael, Viva La Juicy, is it Givenchy or Givenchy?
Givenchy? Givenchy Hot Couture, The Body Shop Strawberry Cream, What the fuck? The Body Shop Strawberry Cream? That’s what my high school girlfriend wore. And then, La Prairie Midnight Rain Perfumes. Okay? I don’t even know if that’s accurate or not. I just, this came from parfum plus mag. com with the, if you go to parfum plus P A R F U M plus.
com and then go to one of the dropdowns is star scent perfumes that Taylor Swift wears. I have no idea if it’s, this is accurate, you know, no idea, but I just thought I’d point that out. Nikki Garcia came back to her podcast yesterday for the first time, since everything went down, uh, with. Looks to be her now ex husband, Artem, even though probably the divorce hasn’t been finalized.
Obviously divorce papers haven’t been filed. And um, she didn’t go into detail, but this is the first things that she has said, so let’s go over it. She said, I’ve been heartbroken. You dream of having this family and this incredible love and it just goes the other way. You go from having a great love story to having a terrible one.
I never saw any of it coming, you know, as far as what the ending would be. So it’s just been a struggle. She said she wanted to maintain public silence for the sake of her son, Mateo. She said, um, her sister said she would have done things differently. And she said, uh, their relationship hadn’t been at its best, uh, for some time, her and Artem.
She said when it came to our relationship, it’s sad, but it just hasn’t been great for a long time. I really played it up. Like things were a lot better than they were in the public eye, which I have regrets in that, because what I feel. felt was like if I can just put this person on a pedestal and maybe if this person hears it enough what I believe in them, they can believe that in themselves.
And then her sister asked her, do you think that you feel like your fans or supporters want to see almost like this fairytale relationship so you feel like you have to give it to them? And she said yes. And I didn’t want to have another failed public relationship. And more than any of that, I wanted it for Mateo.
I tried really hard, but in the end we weren’t bringing out the best in each other. And we should probably have walked away a long time ago. So I guess really all this does, and I don’t expect her to go into more. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t. But again, I think all this does once again is point out, you can’t believe everything you see when it comes to couples on social media.
They are only showing you what they want to show you. And Nikki Garcia admitted it. Yeah, I was posting stuff in hopes that he would see it and in hopes that people would not think that anything was wrong in our relationship and in hopes that he would see it and be the man that I thought he could be.
So she isn’t the first person. She isn’t the last person that’s going to ever admit. We put stuff out there that wasn’t really reflective of what our relationship was like. And I think people just need to keep that in mind. That’s why these parasocial relationships that people have with celebrities, because they post lovey dovey photos and pictures of their children doesn’t mean anything.
So I would just look at it. Maybe hit a like button, but never, especially if you don’t know them, you don’t need to be blowing up their comments with, oh my God, you guys are my favorite or whatever. It’s just, you’re basically opening yourself up to be let down by these people. I’m going to get to the tick tock trend tomorrow.
